This is another interesting month, Sagittarius, in the wake of the Mercury Retrograde period in key sectors of your solar chart, and while – for its first ten days – Mercury is still recovering, leaving its post-retrograde shadow and finally completely straightening out by the 11th. Your worldview was a significant focus during the previous month with many questions surrounding this factor. This leads you to a process of refining your beliefs that continues into the current month. The Virgo New Moon of Monday, September 2nd, marks for you a powerful juncture as the month gets going. You are feeling the fresh energy and as well the challenge of new vitality in terms of vocation and for your outer world persona, while also re-thinking many of its underpinnings. Inner principles and values have become increasingly telling in this regard. The Full Moon eclipse of the 17th represents a culmination and a new jumping-off place in terms of considerations of public versus private, outer versus inner understandings. Partnerships come into play at this timing as well, to contrast with your individual decision making. The Equinox of September 22nd brings important others even more actively into the arc of your own individual evolutionary development.

In the opening days of September, the Mercury Retrograde of the previous August month may be over but Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow remains, along with a Capricorn position of Pluto on the cusp of your communications sector. This recent Mercury slow-down and shut-down might have been difficult for you, although hopefully out of the difficulties some degree of learning also took place. Mercury’s retrograde period is a good time for introspection, reflection, and reassessment of where you are actually heading in this latest developmental phase.
As the trials of August begin to subside in the rear-view mirror, the Virgo New Moon on the 2nd of September brings your vocational situation into much greater focus. There have been questions there and also some answers and yet the fullest assessment continues to be a moving target. Your relationships continue to b a important factor in managing all that you do, while the transformation of your creative expression and your project time becomes a significant issue. One of your greatest qualities is your ability to find grace under fire and you may have to draw upon this particular skill in order to smoothly navigate the various situations at home, at work, or in your personal life that threaten to throw off your natural optimism.
Mars’ entry into the sign of Cancer on the 4th emphasizes the agreements you have with others. Joint resources and partnerships have been an important area of focus and may shift in subtle ways. Finding common ground could be a work in progress but you may be able to find the communication strategy to do so if you try. There are benefits from your partnerships and yet your own individual pathway must also be honored.
Mercury re-enters Virgo on the 9th and regains most of its lost zodiacal longitude on the 10th with the First Quarter Moon in your sign. Conflicts are possible and might reflect back on the entire previous five weeks of this retrograde cycle. Things that were slow to progress since the beginning of August could start to speed up although the planning might have to be re-done.
From the 11th to 12th and then to the 15th, the Sun squares Jupiter, your ruler, bringing work issues to a head, possibly with the involvement of partners of either a business or a personal stripe, followed by Venus in Libra being in trine with Jupiter remaining in your relationship sector. These last three days could help to smooth over any tenseness that might have been in the air between these various factors.
The Full Moon in Pisces on the 17th is a partial lunar eclipse that lights up Uranus in late Taurus on the cusp of Gemini – and hence could stimulate more relationship surprises or issues between private and public concerns. This lunation is also in some ways a fulfilment of the current Virgo cycle that has to with career developments long percolating. You have renewed commitment now although perhaps as well, with the Moon conjunct Neptune, partaking of a spiritual or perhaps an idealized or a fantasy component.
The Sun’s entry in Libra on September 22nd for the September Equinox implies greater support and energy for collaborations and for social networking, planning, and goal orientation, and with Venus entering Scorpio later on the same day an underlying need for introspection and a concern for potentially revamping your diplomatic or your communication skills, your values, and the agreements you have with others.
On the 25th, Mercury in Virgo aspects the three outer planets before entering Libra the next day, and you may get a momentary glimpse of changes in your partnership or career alignments that are still percolating and that have been a long time coming. Mercury forms a superior conjunction with the Sun in Libra on the 30th which might help you assess more clearly your hopes and vision for your future and what adjustments are needed for you to find greater wholeness in all your dealings with others.
