This month continues the series of difficult, thoughtful, and transformational months, Virgo, that have been the hallmarks of this frustrating year. And yet there the rewards that meditative self-study, and greater resulting emotional maturity, have offered in terms of increased confidence in your own unique self-expression, as well as the determination to delve down into your depths for important answers. You continue this digging down this month as well, punctuated by the potent solar eclipse taking place mid-month in your home and family sector. Something might be up for a major fresh start in your dwelling space, while also relationships take on new dimensions for you, with a predilection there for idealism and putting partners on something of a pedestal. In December’s first half, communication is all-important while after the eclipse there is more soul connection and inner dialogue on the table. The Winter Solstice of December 21st represents another powerful juncture when your mission of giving back – in terms of service to the surrounding collective – becomes far more evident.

You may be intuiting big changes in the works as December arrives. The month begins on the other side of a Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Gemini which for you could bring up a strong focus on your work, which is also in alignment with your more private self. It’s a busy time, and you may not be able to see what’s coming down the pipeline because there are just too many factors to take in consideration. However, this potential for overwhelm has begun to change since the New Moon in Scorpio from mid-November which brought new ways to consider the information that needs to be taken into account. There are still a lot of unknown details that could change the direction in which you want to go.
Your ruling planet Mercury enters Sagittarius on December 1st adding fuel for any home projects. The emphasis is on your base of operation and your family. A lot of your energy and focus is currently directed towards your home, and will continue to be until mid-month. On the 5th and 6th, Venus in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, perhaps highlighting a sibling-like relationship or an important connection with someone. This is a creative signature that could also bring inspiring conversations. On the 9th, the Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces could bring confusion or disappointment, especially if you’ve been wearing rose-colored glasses in a partnership. There may be a gap between what a person says, and what a person does. It's important to remain lucid in terms of what others are saying and doing at the moment.
On the 10th, Venus in Scorpio sextiles Pluto, and this may bring deeper conversation around intimacy and romance. However, things may still seem confusing, especially with the additional factor of Mercury in Sagittarius squaring Neptune in Pisces on the 13th. The seesawing may be driving you mad. Things will eventually get clarified as you progress through the month but it might be wise until then to step back from difficult negotiations.
The second eclipse of the season arrives on December 14th, a total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius, therefore taking place in your home sector, emphasizing the current rumbling already occurring in that part of your life. Wishful thinking may not be enough to keep you from the transformation that is occurring. These changes could have something to do with getting out of your comfort zone, stepping up your game, or perhaps even taking a career leap. This Sagittarius Eclipse could also be bringing family or relocation topics to the fore.
Venus enters Sagittarius on the 15th carrying a softening influence, and you could start to really see the growth potential hidden in the changes currently taking place.
Saturn officially enters the sign of Aquarius late on the 16th after having been in Capricorn since the end of 2017. Saturn will be transiting in Aquarius until March 2023, bringing attention to daily logistics and how you organize your time. Jupiter follows suit entering Aquarius on the 19th where it will be until December 2021 doubling up your resolve for getting organized, healthy, and innovative in the year ahead. Your ruler Mercury enters Capricorn on the 20th and your attention shifts to your creative self-expression, blossoming now.
The Sun enters Capricorn on the 21st which signals the Winter Solstice, when the dark season begins in the Northern Hemisphere. Later that day, the much-anticipated conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius takes place, highlighting logistics as mentioned above, and as well your mission of service to others. This conjunction will also be clearly visible in the night sky. Capricorn season is a creative time of the year for you when you feel more aligned with your ingenuity, and your creative process. You may be alternating between home renovations, and your personal projects. The grounding influence of Capricorn permeates the final week of the year.
The Full Moon on the 29th takes place in the sign of Cancer highlighting the communities and like-minded friends that help you feel nourished and connected. Your social sphere is important, and it may be a good time to bond with your group of friends in whichever way possible.
