This is another high-octane month as far as outer planets alignments, Leo, indicating that transformation on the relationship front is on ongoing effect. You might be used to the idea by now, but there is an active attempt on the part of your higher self to do better with your relating energy which might even spread to your choice of partners, or at the very least your choice of methods for dealing with them. Social interactions are also subject to this increasingly energetic mandate, so that friendships and groups you favor may display a novel cast of characters, unexpected revelations, or seem to exploit your own uniqueness. The transformational Plutonian archetype, being featured in November’s astrology, could also wind up being applied to other areas: inner work and dealing with unexpected ups and downs in creative projects and your natural self-expression or romantic interests are other strains of developmental evolution. The Taurus Full Moon of the 5th emphasizes career choices and attempting to allow these to stem strictly from your own inner principles and values over and above what anyone else or the consensus has to say about it. This first week of November also sees Mercury’s station to retrograde motion, with Mercury’s meditative and self-reflective cycle lasting through to December 16th when you take its post-retrograde shadow into account. This introspective period consists as well with faulty assumptions and missed connections and takes place in both your creativity sector and, after the Scorpio New Moon of the19th, your sector of home and family. Throughout the month, your fundamental worldview and your understanding of internal wounding blossoms into something that is quite a bit different than it was before the November month began. You are ushering yourself into a new phase that will only really begin to take form after the end of this tumultuous year.
The following was written by our guest columnist Elodie St-Onge Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
You may have felt an increasing desire to relate with your surroundings and connect with others in person since the recent New Moon in Libra from the last ten days of October, which brought a fresh energy – lasting into the first 20 days of November – for the sector of your chart. Associated with communication and learning. The influence of the Pluto and Uranus trine color the Libra New Moon and your current astrology with a revolutionary transformational energy affecting your relationships in an ongoing way along the lines of what has been happening since the previous summer. Mars and Mercury in Scorpio are conjunct in this New Moon as well, and are located in your domestic sector, so that a more brooding influence undercuts the easy-going Libra energy that you may have been expecting. With Mercury getting ready to retrograde later in the month, this could be a thoughtful and reflective time, when you could
find yourself questioning the very foundations of your life and family situation or applying a weather eye to communications issues that have been lurking. Because Neptune and Saturn in combination are also featured in the recent New Moon, a mixture of practical considerations and numinous otherworldly ideas or influences can be a little unsettling philosophically.
Scorpio Season is not for the faint of heart as this sign forces us to confront the underbelly of the world – including what is hidden or taboo – and to shine a light on our unconscious patterns that have much more control over us than we would like to admit. With Venus still transiting in Libra at the beginning of November, you may be feeling inclined to adopt a diplomatic approach for all your dealings, although you may find that what you are wanting to say versus what comes out of your mouth are not really aligned with each other.
Although you may have been feeling more internal than usual these days, Mars entering Sagittarius on the 4th is good news and it could imply you having an easier time for reconnecting with the gregarious side of your personality in the weeks ahead. Mars simultaneously forms an opposition with Uranus in Gemini which may bring unexpected connections or realizations to you or new opportunities to socialize.
You can’t ever fully get away from the spotlight and the Full Moon in Taurus on November 5th shines her light on your public image and your place in the world, contrasting these with private spaces that you are also drawn to at this juncture. There could be something really grounding that comes along with this Full Moon especially regarding the career or vocational path you have been engaged with. There may be a culmination or an intuition as to where you next want to take things, and this could potentially mean being open to collaborating with people who want to support your work.
Uranus retrograding back into Taurus on the 7th could momentarily emphasize the past eight years and your quest to gain greater autonomy in everything that you do. Uranus returns to Gemini in April 2026, which might imply a new era already in the works which for you may relate to bringing your contribution and sharing your unique perspectives more actively in your community.
Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on the 9th and stations to direct motion on the 29th, finally escaping its post-retrograde shadow two and a half weeks later on December 16th. This period is an introspective one, and could bring reflections surrounding your desires and needs and what your spirit and soul craves at this time to feel nourished. Creativity, pleasure, romance, connections versus solitude may be some of the things that are on your mind along with patterns that you may have inherited from your upbringing or from family dynamics that have kept you from reaching for more joy. This deconstruction project is a work in progress, but this month could bring some significant insights regarding your inner workings that allow you to release the grip of the past in some ways.
On the 11th, Jupiter in Cancer stations to retrograde motion, still in close trine with Saturn in your sector of intimacy and partnership agreements. This is an interesting combination, and notable, making you more aware of the way that societal factors are affecting you.
The most significant astrological event this month is probably the New Moon in late Scorpio of the late evening of the19th, which coincides with Mercury reaching the halfway point of its retrograde cycle and forming a conjunction with both the Sun and Moon. Mercury forming a conjunction with the Sun is symbolically thought of as a ‘’moment of illumination’’ and represents one peak of the Mercury Retrograde cycle. The Scorpio New Moon moment could feel like clarity emerging from the depths, receiving a contrasting insight or the ability to see in the dark. What is hidden may not be visible to the eyes, but it could be felt. This New Moon receives a trine from Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn and Neptune in Pisces while also receiving an opposition from Uranus in Taurus further emphasizing the need to have faith in this moment as a necessary passage and surrender into mystery. The feeling of cosmic transformation continues with this significant lunation leading into the December month a few days away.
The Sun entering Sagittarius on November 21st could help to bring out your playful side as it illuminates the part of your chart that relates to creativity, pleasure, and romance. On the 23rd, the Sun forms a sextile with Pluto in Aquarius which may highlight recent changes in your relationship dynamic or a priority shift in what you expect from your partners. You could be content doing your own thing at this time and this self-reliance could prove to be really attractive to others.
Venus in Scorpio is busy at the end of the month forming a conjunction with Mercury Retrograde on the 24th and a trine with both Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces on the 26th, making a momentary grand trine in the sky. You may have to deal with important conversations at home or with a family member around this time as something related to your domestic life may need clarification, or with regard to the surrounding society.
On the 27th, Saturn turns direct in Pisces and Mercury in Scorpio, at 20°, follows suit on the 29th just as Venus in late Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. You could be feeling extra sensitive or vulnerable at this time and must also be aware that the Mercury Retrograde period, with Mercury now standing dead still in the sky, is far from over. The learning factor and thoughtful appreciation of Mercury having retrograded through your fourth or home and family sector will likely be felt through at least the next two weeks as the retrograde slowly unwinds.
