This is another quite interesting month for you, Taurus. You are still being pulled in several different directions at once, with an emphasis on primary relationships stemming from the recent Scorpio New Moon from last month, remaining active over the first eleven days of December. Partners might also be key these days in helping you to assess where your true moral compass is to be found within you, encouraging you to take the time to do the right thing in the right way. This as you seek to find your own authentic mission statement in a confusing world. Important partners in your life continue to play a strong role in all this, especially after the month’s first weekend, with Venus, your ruler, now in your opposite sign of Scorpio. These themes are also prominent in the timing of the December 12th Sagittarius New Moon, when you are buoyed by a sense of optimism and faith in your process, in spite of everything. Throughout the month, your commitment to your societal contribution is strong. You are determined to find within yourself what cannot be supplied by the consensus views that surround you, and that transcend your earlier conditioning, nothing less than your own veracity in which you find your truest sense of purpose.

The important mid-November New Moon in Scorpio is still paying out as the current month arrives. This New Moon in your partnership sector continues to reverberate in the first eleven days of December, indicating new relational dynamics and overall fresh energy for the ways in which you engage with others. This important reset may find you wanting to engage with partners more honestly, and you also may find yourself needing more genuine integrity from others and within yourself. Trickster Uranus in your sign is also greatly emphasized now, continuing to bring novelty, unexpected revelations, and new ways of seeing the world around you. There is a transformational component affecting your work in the world, and how you are able to find greater alignment with your deepest values as the month unfolds.
Mercury enters Capricorn on December 1st, immediately forming a supportive aspect with Saturn in Pisces lasting until the 2nd. There may be a link between groups of people in your social purview and the knowledge or the talent that you bring to the table, or you may have an important role to play in delivering what you have learned to the social sphere, such as being in charge of an important project.
Venus, your ruler, in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn on the 2nd and the 3rd before entering Scorpio on the 4th and if you’ve been burdening yourself with too many tasks or missions, this may highlight a need to release the pressure valve when you can. Venus trines Saturn in Pisces as it enters Scorpio and this ingress could bring more flow into your work life, although there is still the need to adhere to your commitments. You may become increasingly aware of compromises being made to pacify others versus your need for more honest and authentic exchanges.
From the 6th to the 11th of December, a host of aspects between Mercury in Capricorn, Venus in Scorpio and Jupiter in Taurus could highlight expansion and opportunities yet, the opposition between Venus in Scorpio and Jupiter in Taurus, from the 9th to the 11th, could perhaps find you overdoing the blessings of this transit by obsessing over a relationship scenario or a situation with someone which has an element of over-idealization.
On the 12th, the Sagittarius New Moon arrives, signaling the beginning of a new lunation cycle related to depth explorations and intimacy with important partnerships as well as the support that comes from others in general. With Jupiter highlighted in Taurus, you may have less patience for concessions, preferring to steer your own ship in your chosen direction. The influences this month may force you towards collaborations for better or for worse and you may have to bite your tongue and approach negotiations with others cautiously for the time being.
Mercury stations retrograde in Capricorn on the late evening of December 12th initiating a three week process that could slow things down considerably yet may prove to be helpful in the long run. You may need to review the past before proceeding forward with a vision, a teaching or learning opportunity and this could be related to funding or shared resources. It’s a good idea to take your time right now and assess all the pieces of the puzzle before jumping to any conclusion as there could be some missing pieces to resurface later this month.
On December 21st, the Capricorn Solstice arrives which provides vital considerations for the year ahead; the Sun newly entered into Capricorn signals as well in the Northern Hemisphere the shortest day and longest night of the year. Mercury moving retrograde in Capricorn greets the Sun at the solstitial gates. Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, stressing surprise events over the more normative, and the Moon in your sign presages an emotional and nurturing – as well as transformational – year ahead.
Mercury moves back into Sagittarius on the 22nd, indicating further shifts in your values. Important information may surface at this time to help you make better sense of something that has been occurring . You win when you can stay open to things not being as you expect and go with the flow as much as possible. This is especially so if you are feeling challenged at this time.
On the 26th, the Full Moon arrives in Cancer illuminating the sector of your chart that relates to communication and information as well as higher knowledge, and brings in your deep sense of values regarding fairness to others and the right way to operate moving forward. t may be harder to keep cool headed in business or intimate partnerships, or conceal your true opinion. Knowing that you are feeling things more deeply right now could help you to calibrate what you are saying depending on who is on the receiving end.
Mercury moving retrograde in Sagittarius conjoins Mars there on the 27th while both are forming a square aspect with Neptune in Pisces. This is idealistic to a fault regarding impressions or actions, and could show the potential for wishful thinking or getting overly worked up about something which may not be totally clear. It is probably best to think twice before speaking and if something does seem too good to be true, you might want to exercise caution and wait until you have more information.
On the 29th, your ruling planet Venus leaves the sign of Scorpio for Sagittarius, squaring Saturn, emphasizing intimate connection as well as your commitments, while the last day of the year arrives under the hopeful eye of Jupiter which stations direct in Taurus on the evening of the 30th. Jupiter turning direct is good news in general, yet there may also be a tendency towards excess or an inflated sense of possibilities so do keep that in mind. Your year ends with a joyful mood so that it should not be hard to bask during New Year’s Eve under the hopeful glow of Jupiter.
