This is another month full of surprising revelation and transformational impulse, Scorpio. Everything going on in October is colored by the recent Libra New Moon from just days before it began, which landed in your twelfth house of dream imagination, unconscious process, and inner work. Your dreams and waking visions are signposts now for the hidden directives of your Higher Self. Important partners in your life also provide necessary information to what is taking place deep within your psyche. There might be further unusual and unexpected events to work out within your primary relationships; if you look more closely, these might well provide valuable insights into your own inner exploration. Another clue is also provided in terms of learning and communication, where you are making deep and far-reaching changes. Service to the surrounding collective calls you forth, and your watchword is that you refine your ideas to discover what you, and only you, independent of other ideas and voices, can bring to the table of your efforts.

The month begins just after a New Moon in Libra (from September 28th) fell into your twelfth house of dissolution, self-undoing, and surrender, also dream imagination and inner work. Given that this month also features a series of squares between planets in Libra and planets in Capricorn in your third house of the mind, this month will take you very deeply into your own unconscious, as well as the unconscious dimension of your intimate relationships, or perhaps even in relationship to your siblings or those with whom you share close, communal bonds. Because the Awakener archetype of Uranus in your opposite sign is also highlighted this month, being partile or same-sign aspected by this New Moon, your primary relationships will likely go through several twists and turns as well throughout October.
First, from October 5th to the 7th, Mercury in Scorpio will oppose Uranus in Taurus. Then between October 11th and 13th, Venus in Scorpio will oppose Uranus in Taurus. Each dynamic period points to an overall tension that is being highlighted right now between yourself and others, your sense of agency, autonomy, and independence, versus the need to immerse yourself in those you are close with, the needs of those you are close with, and the will or intentions of those you are close with. It’s a great time to do the hard work of individuating within your closest relationships. It’s never easy to do so for you, as a Scorpio, because you develop very deep and intense emotional bonds with others, or you may tend to wall others out due to fear or distrust. The transits of this month are therefore custom-made for you to experience a breakthrough around relationship karma in general. Along the way, you are also being given an opportunity to individuate and grow into more of your authentic self.
The first of the transits affecting your twelfth house occurs when the Sun in Libra squares Saturn in Capricorn on October 7th, then again when the Sun squares Pluto between October 13th and 14th. In both cases, you are being called to see things as they are, not as you wish or dream them to be. The sobering mental and emotional effect of Saturn and Pluto here are undeniable, and yet you can learn a lot right now looking at each and everything you are facing both objectively and patiently, especially any patterns of denial, secrecy, or avoidance that you are exploring right now in your relationships. You may need to have a few “let’s be real” conversations with those you are close to this month, or with yourself. Be careful of the temptation to “do what’s nice” in order to avoid speaking the truth or accepting the facts.
On October 13th, the Full Moon will also land in Aries, falling in your sixth house of work, service, and sickness while its ruler Mars resides in your twelfth house of dream work, inner process and self-undoing. If you have at all avoided the real work, your real intentions, or the real confrontations that are necessary this month, then it’s possible that this Full Moon will provoke a release of pent up energy. On the other hand, if you’ve been moving along with this month’s energy effectively, you may notice that you are gaining momentum, enthusiasm, and inspiration, digging deep and winning the inner battle.
Between October 26th and the 28th, your ruling planet Mars, from the sign of Libra, will square Saturn in Capricorn, bringing with an aura of productivity, hard work, and discipline, but also potentially frustration, limitations, and conflicts with authority, rules, or tradition. At this same time, the New Moon falls in Scorpio in your first house of new beginnings on October 27th, while also opposing Uranus, planting the seeds of a very powerful time of mental, emotional, and physical awakening for you in the month ahead!
