This is, for you, Libra, a monthly cycle that is very much about the meaning and the consequences of one-on-one partnership in your life, and the way that relationship with important others provides a pathway forward toward your own sense of authenticity. The first week of the month, leading up to the following Monday’s New Moon in your opposite sign, is complicated by the retrograde of Mercury, also in Aries. You are likely questioning certain aspects of your relationship dynamic, and are looking more deeply within than outside of yourself. The New Moon eclipse of Monday, April 8th, represents a potent juncture, when new beginnings in relationship are implied, and when there is a determination to find the deeper purpose of partnership in your life. These might well partake of difficulties stemming from early childhood that remain unresolved. There is also a sense of recovering internal moral values, perhaps long-buried away, now coming into greater conscious awareness and more deliberate choosing. The Full Moon of April 23rd makes for another critically significant juncture, emphasizing internal principles and values, as well as inner knowing, and representing a form of resolution. Your most basic task is to accept it that you are, as you evolve, a co-creator with the universe.

The Pisces New Moon from mid-March could have brought a fascination with existing habit patterns – and revising or expanding these – that carries its influence into the first week of April. Your health and your wellbeing have been another focus, which continues through April 7th. as you try to balance your daily obligations with more room to cheer on your wellbeing. Your energy levels could be fanciful and nebulous or in dealing with relationship concerns you could find it difficult to fulfill all of your obligations. There may be a need to simplify your work load or delegate responsibilities in order to focus on what is most important. The Libra Full Moon eclipse the last week of the previous month brought up issues of self and other as the polarity between you and another continues to unfold.
April begins with tricky Mercury turning retrograde on April 1st which makes for a kind of a cosmic April’s Fool Day joke and augurs a month filled with twists and turns or at least the potential for entanglement. You will be reviewing and to some extent revising or revitalizing relationship dynamics all month long as Mercury moves backward through Aries up until the 25th and then is in recovery for the next 18 days.
On the 2nd and 3rd, your ruling planet Venus in Pisces conjoins Neptune making for a glamorous first week of April which could bring idealistic fantasies or perhaps a sense of overwhelm especially with mundane matters. Venus enters Aries on the 4th and forms a sextile with Pluto in Aquarius on the 5th and 6th emphasizing the thorough-going transformation of everything that comes up in partnership for you.
On April 8th, the Aries solar eclipse New Moon takes place in your relational sector and being a powerful fresh start in the sign of initiative and, for you, partnership, it could bring an important reset in one or more of your key relationships. This eclipse also features Wounded Healer Chiron at 19°24’ Aries; the same degree and minute as the Sun and Moon. This could dramatically highlight whatever is not working in your recovery from early childhood wounding, or what needs attention at this time. There could be emotional and relational baggage for you to deal with that may have their roots in your past. Your willingness to acknowledge and work on your vulnerabilities openly could lead to more authentic relationships experiences and better enable you to get the care and support that you truly need.
With the concentration of planets in Aries, the way April unfolds could depend greatly on what other people decide to do and it could feel like you are waiting for others to make up their mind so that you can progress with your own agenda. Even minor tasks could get more complicated than necessary if you are depending on someone else to get things done.
Mercury, still moving retrograde, conjuncts the Sun in Aries on April 11th which continues to highlight negotiations and agreements. A moment of clarity could be suddenly emerging in relation to what someone else requires of you, although it may still take a few weeks before things start to make sense. Intimate and business partnerships along with shared resources are emphasized and reinforced when the Sun enters Taurus on the 19th.
From the 17th to the 23rd, exact on the 20th, Jupiter forms a conjunction with Uranus in Taurus which may bring more concrete and progressive development, especially in your intimacy dealings within yourself and for others. Surprises and surprise successes are available to you leading up to the Full Moon.
The Scorpio Full Moon on April 23rd brings up issues of self and other; and illuminates personal values and partnership agreements. Pluto in Aquarius forms a cathartic square with the Moon emphasizing the divide between your personal requirements and the ones of your long term partnership commitments. Relationship tripping in one way or another, such as a fundamental inclination to merge with others, could also be highlighted quite clearly at this time allowing you to either follow your impulses or work on giving yourself room for the new forms that are emerging.
Mercury stations direct in Aries on the 25th and this should help to begin to move things along in the coming weeks. You could eventually get a clearer sense of what others expect from you and what you require of them. Mercury escapes its final retrograde shadow days by May 13th.
From the 28th to the 29th, the last week of April is colored by Mars forming a conjunction with Neptune at the edge of your relationship sector. This brings up fantasy projection, dreamy idealism with partners or perhaps a draining influence on your vitality although this is a short-lived aspect. Venus entering Taurus on the 29th and Mars entering Aries on the 30th will continue to emphasize your relationships and, through alertness and awareness, things should begin to feel much clearer and smooth as the coming weeks continue to unfold.
