This combination acts something like a massive magnifying glass, urging each of us toward the true expression of our essence, toward creativity as a unique, meaningful, and intrinsically valuable contribution to the greater whole, and likely illuminating for each one of us the conditioning and the patterns that keep us from living more fully expressed lives.

Let’s break the full configuration down further. The Moon is not only conjunct Pluto and opposite the Sun and Jupiter. Together they also tightly aspect Neptune in Aries and Uranus in Gemini, and this is the basket, or cradle, being so widely discussed and examined across the astrological community. It feels worth noting that all of these placements sit in fire and air, so there is a tremendous amount of movement, quickness, and dynamic action, synthesizing something that may lie beyond our current understanding. Perhaps it is wise, and this is my sense as a practicing astrologer, to hold a happening like this loosely and lightly, without growing too attached to any single meaning or direction. This configuration is not only about this Full Moon timing. It is not only about this month, or this year. It speaks to a massive threshold and turning point for humanity, the true nature of which will only be discovered in the years to come. What feels crucial now is to stay in a listening stance for what is emerging, and to align with an intelligence greater than ourselves. Because everything is moving so quickly, we might adopt this attitude of flexibility while also remembering to make time to slow down, to prioritize our bodies and our nervous systems, as all of this energy is a great deal to digest and assimilate.

That brings us to one of the most important facets of this basket configuration. Chiron sits at 0° Taurus, forming a T-square to the Moon and Pluto on one side and the Sun and Jupiter on the other. This is how we may discover the ways our patterns of wounding live in our somatic experience, in our body, and where we may find ways to help them release, unbind, and transform into wisdom. Chiron contains both the pain and the wisdom, and perhaps holding both as living principles can help us move beyond polarity and into coherence, integrity, and wholeness.

The skies are wild and potent right now, and while it feels impractical to imagine that any of us can predict what lies beyond a configuration such as this, it may help simply to know and acknowledge the magnitude of change we are living through. With this particular Full Moon, we may wish to lean into the radiance of creation, into our own blueprint and essence level expression, and to allow ourselves to be impacted and transformed by what is happening in the world. We might feel into what our unique contribution to the greater whole is becoming now, knowing it could look different than it ever has, and that it may well be a moving target, evolving as this time goes by. This may require that we be in a listening for what that is, and recognize how deeply it matters that we each inhabit our own sense of agency and creativity, envisioning a world we wish to live in, one that is coherent and honoring of life as an intelligent principle on this planet, our one and only precious home.

During trying times such as these, when so much is changing and much looks dire, may we have the clarity of heart to see into possibility without abandoning the painful truths of what is so. Through our own presence with the wide spectrum between deep suffering and miraculous beauty occurring all at once, and all the time, can we yet allow ourselves to align within to see a new paradigm to be birthed through our personal and collective awareness? And as we peer into the uncertainty of the future, may we remember that it is ultimately ours to create together.
