What awaits you with the November month, Aries, is another month of ups and downs, a roller coaster, really. This is partly based on the fact that your ruler, Mars, your ruler, is getting ready to station and turn retrograde beginning on December 6th, and hence is moving quite slowly these November days, increasingly so as December nears. Not to be discounted is the amazing New Moon at the very beginning of the month, featuring a partile or same-degree opposition between Mars in the final degree of Cancer and Pluto in the final degree of Capricorn This Scorpio New Moon sets the stage for the remainder of November with a guarantee of transformational impact that will shake you and bake you and lead you into your next evolutionary stage. There is a factor of internal moral compass that is also in play for you right now; particularly within the developmental cycle of the first two weeks of November. It may be that events will transpire that call you to reorient in the way that you see the world around you, and your role within it. Your beliefs and worldview form a subject that is definitely up for you these late fall days, heading into the dramatic ending of the year. There is perhaps a sense of starry-eyed idealism that is present, as you grow, and that is not to be entirely discounted.
The following was written by our guest columnist Elodie St-Onge Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
Just as November begins, the Scorpio New Moon of the 1st brings attention to the sector of your chart that relates to your intimate and business partnerships and the agreements or contracts that bind you willingly or unwillingly to others. Mars, your ruling planet, is transiting through the last degree of Cancer and forms in this New Moon configuration a very close opposition with Pluto in the last degree of Capricorn before entering Leo on the 3rd. The transformational impact lasts therefore the entire month, and relates to both your career and professional life, and as well to your social situation, including groups and friendships that you favor, and also your future plans. This month is a delicate time, when your thoughts can be swayed by your fears, and yet also by your lofty goals, your imagination, or your enthusiasm for an ideal world that you would like to see emerging over subsequent decades.
With transformational Pluto so greatly highlighted in this New Moon, you may be feeling as well that an important chapter is coming to a close although you could still be processing what the long-term implications of such changes entail. On the one hand you could experience a kind of exuberance thanks to the new possibilities emerging on the horizon; while on the other, you could be feeling some apprehension towards the unknown that lies ahead. Scorpio Season can bring important realizations and this one in particular. Whether these are internal or external, there is something poignant about shedding your old skin to take a leap of faith.
From the 4th to the 5th, Venus trines the Chiron/ Eris midpoint in your sign, which could bring up thoughts about early childhood wounding that could be buried away from your consciousness, deep in your psyche, and perhaps showing up as factors in interpersonal situations. There could be, as well, creative ideas for bridging, integrating, and healing such issues.
On the 11th, Venus’ entry into Capricorn might bring your key relationships further into the picture, or perhaps highlight a tension between your personal needs versus what is expected from you. You could feel pressured to show up a certain way in the world, of find that intimate partners contribute in unexpected ways with career objectives.
The first of three squares between Mercury in Sagittarius and Saturn in Pisces takes place on the 12th, which may emphasize a tension coming from unconscious drive for recognition. Finding the proper channels for this expression to manifest could reveal itself to be extremely creative in the long run, especially to get over any reflexes you have around self-censorship.
On November 15th, the Taurus Full Moon takes place in your sector of resources and values. You could find yourself exploring new intentions related to your principles, your internal moral commitment, or your finances. The Moon forms a close conjunction with Uranus in Taurus, so that surprises may abound, together with unexpected revelations or epiphanies. What you value and what you attribute worth to, including yourself and your skills, are really up for you right now. There could be benefits coming from your ability to adapt, improvise or take a chance with something unknown, and you may have to let go of a need to understand all the potential outcomes and just go with the flow.
On the 17th and 18th, Mercury opposes Jupiter in Gemini, in your sector of communications and learning, and you might feel an intellectual shift toward a more positive frame of mind. The Sun simultaneously in trine with Neptune could also bring on a dreamy sense of insubstantiality to contribute to this mood.
On the 19th, Pluto enters Aquarius and the next morning the Moon enters Leo, opposing Pluto, so that for these few hours there could be a sense of how far you have come in feeling your way through whatever changes you are currently dealing with, along, perhaps, with reflecting on how far you still have to go.
The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st forming a supportive aspect with Pluto newly in Aquarius. Your perspectives could start to feel more coherent and broad; and this may allow you to see new options you hadn’t considered, especially in terms of goals and concrete future plans.
Mercury stations retrograde on November 25th and this could be a time to sit back and reflect. This might also be a time of mechanical and communications breakdowns and missed connections. It is good not to “push the river” at this time, lasting into mid-December, and beyond. Mercury will station once again to direct motion on December 15th, and remain in recovery for two to three weeks after that, beyond the end of the December month. The entire retrograde period may denote a period of re-orientation and reconsideration as you potentially align with new possibilities. You do well to give yourself time to assess the territory and remain patient.
