This month is an interesting one for you, Virgo, with implications for your outer world statement. Your ruler, Mercury, retrograding through the zenith sector of your chart all month long, even after its station to direct motion on the 22nd, carries a signature of introspection and questioning the basis of things, meaning in your case both your public personna and your self-concept or identity. You will be asking yourself not only “who am I?” but also “Who do I want to be?” These important questions are well worth the self-study necessary to begin to forge some new answers. Another area of concentration this month is relationships, with new energy coming in for partners but with also an element of confusion and of questioning there as well. A celebration of everything that you are up to, both the easy and the somewhat difficult, will be available on Thursday the 10th, with the New Moon and solar eclipse in your career sector. Not all the results will be in, although they are beginning to emerge to your inner eye when you have sufficient faith in your intuition.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
The recent New Moon, in Taurus, from the middle of last month, brought lots of momentum for your vision and your goals. You could be in the midst of far-reaching changes when it comes to what you thought was possible and more extensively what you believe yourself capable of. Your ideas about the world are changing and with it your aspirations. Then, too, Mercury is retrograde in your vocational sector all month long, when you take the time of the retrograde shadow into account, finally straightening out the first week of July. You will be thinking about career and professional choices all this time, and looking into these more deeply. It is a particularly introspective period of time for members of your sign.
The Sun in Gemini also comes into a beneficial trine with Saturn in Aquarius on the 2nd and 3rd, which can help you organize your workspace to make it more efficient. You may be able to combine your pragmatic approach with your ambitions more easily. Venus in your social sector after the 2nd could also smooth your passage there.
Things intensify from the 4th to the 6th, when Mars in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. This might challenge your sense of purpose. You may feel pressured to choose between pleasure and duty or be challenged between your unique creativity and compromising in order to be accepted in a community. This energy can be used constructively and finding the proper channel for your passions may be important at this time. Mercury Retrograde in Gemini also squares Neptune in Pisces which could bring confusion while negotiating with others. Staying clear of conflict may be challenging especially if there is already a misunderstanding but this period can also bring creative solutions if you stay flexible.
On June 10th the Solar Eclipse in Gemini takes place in your vocational sector bringing a powerful reset into that part of your life. This eclipse could usher you into a new chapter as things move in and out of your life. Some things may have run their course while a new project or an opportunity is emerging. This shift may relate more extensively to your home and things could feel in a state of flux. The Sun in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces on the 13th could add an element of uncertainty to the mix and you may have to trust that things are falling into place. Soon a new picture will emerge and you will be able to clearly assess where you stand.
Saturn in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus all month long as well, exact for a second time on June 14th. The first of these exact squares between them occurred on February 17th and the final one will take place on December 24th. The energy this month will be highlighting some pressure between the way you organize your schedule and your long-term visions. You may have a hard time uniting the pre-existing structures in your life with what you would like to accomplish on a bigger scale. You may find yourself fussing over logistical issues and wondering where your ambitious visions fits on a day-to-day basis. You can definitely make the big leaps you dream of but it will require that you push the boundaries of your comfort zone inch by inch and seek the support you need instead of isolating yourself.
On the late evening of the 20th, a change of pace is indicated when the Sun enters Cancer, signaling the longest day of the year and the beginning of Summer and in the Northern Hemisphere. Jupiter in Pisces stations also retrograde on this same day, while Mercury in Gemini stations direct in the days following the Summer Solstice which highlights a considerable shift in priorities. You may start to find greater clarity and a renewed sense of direction for things pertaining to your career and your place in the world. The Sun in Cancer highlights friendship and your community in the weeks ahead.
On the 24th, the Full Moon in Capricorn could bring recognition for your creative projects or the support from your peers. After a busy period of change and hard work, you may feel the need to take some downtime and acknowledge the progress that you’ve made in the last few months. Venus enters Leo on the 27th joining Mars which is already transiting there and this could manifest as the month closes of another time of going inside for answers.
