This month is another in the series of quite interesting ones, Virgo, when you are all over the place. In addition to a powerful resurgence of transformative Saturn-Pluto, indicting loss as well as gain, there are two personal planets in retrograde, including Mercury, your ruler, plus a strong intuitional dose of trickster Uranus, lighting up your sector of higher mind activities, including education. You may enjoy relationship fantasies that are soothing to your soul, or else disturbing if not lived up to. You also might have to make some hard choices in terms of self-expression and romance. Partners are somehow fundamental to the way that you see yourself moving forward into your next stage. Mars is moving backward in your sector of intimacy and personal evolution, posing more questions than answers. Your creativity, your aesthetic sensibility, other forms of partnership contribution are on the line. After November 10th, learning and communication, put somewhat on hold, come roaring back to life, supporting positive momentum for December.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
You come to November riding the wave from a potent mid-October Libra New Moon that emphasized both your finances and your shared resources with important others. You might also have been in any reflecting on issues of intimacy, and of your own internal connection with deep feelings, case because Mars has been retrograde for several weeks now, in the sector of your solar chart that rules these matters. Your self-expression has been going through some transformational changes lately and these too have been stimulated and brought to a head by this recent New Moon. With the October 31st Taurus Full Moon, moreover, just before November began, which conjuncted trickster Uranus, you might have to contend with a series of surprising events that have the effect of stimulating your beliefs and worldview. These are also perhaps connected with educational impulses that you might feel the need to express or plan for.
Venus in Libra opposing Chiron in Aries at the beginning of the month may also bring up the need to assess your shared resources. You have a natural ability to get along with others and adapt for the sake of efficiency. You may however be stretching yourself too thin when it comes to accommodating the desires of other people in your life. You may be pushed against a wall when it comes to an important decision regarding your agreements. You may not feel like explaining yourself, and would rather just move on, but something keeps coming up.
Mercury your ruler, retrograde in Libra as the month begins, squares Saturn in Capricorn from the beginning of the month right on through its November 3rd station and through on November 7th and represents a sobering time period but one that can be worked with. It may be a time for practicalities and realism but there could also be a tendency to cast a negative light on your dilemmas. A lot of hard work and organizational matters can be tackled. However, it may be best to leave important communications for a later date.
Your ruling planet Mercury stations direct in Libra on November 3rd in the financial sector of your chart. A situation concerning your finances, and more extensively your self-worth may now be ready to get clarified. You may have recently been wrestling with your impulse to compromise versus the need to make a clean cut on a confusing situation. Venus now transiting in Libra is forcing you to evaluate your self worth in a better light. You may become aware of where you have been selling yourself short.
Mercury re-entering Scorpio where it was transiting for most of October; you may be revising something you thought was over. Difficult conversations may come up again but this time with more momentum especially once Mars stations direct in Aries mid-November. Mars moving forward again will bring echoes of topics that were already being negotiated in July. The difference now is that you are well informed on a situation. You are a careful thinker and you don’t like jumping to conclusions.
The New Moon in Scorpio late evening on November 14th, or early morning of the 15th, brings a desire for creative change, and the momentum to do so. the New Moon sextiles Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, offering a lot of momentum behind your intentions. The sign of Scorpio is about intimacy, and also, for you, about communications, and the power to move towards authenticity in these areas while constantly renewing yourself. There is nothing superficial about this sign, and there is nothing superficial about this time. The New Moon in Scorpio could represent a fresh start in honest communications. It also brings up the need to delve deeper into your creative well, and your self-expression. Trust your gut feeling and give yourself permission to go to the bottom of your desires with less restraint. Venus in Libra squaring Pluto in Capricorn is urging you to have faith in your ability to make money while doing something that you love.
Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus again on November 17th; an aspect that recently occurred at the beginning of October. You may have had an idea back then for a project without knowing how to get there. With Mercury now moving direct in Scorpio you could be ready to follow your intuition with more self-assurance. There is an innovative wind blowing into your life. A breath of fresh air available in the realm of travel, academia, and long term projects that could take you off the beaten path.
The Sun enters Sagittarius on November 21st just as Venus enters Scorpio. The Sun transiting in Sagittarius until December 21st illuminates your domestic life, and your family scene. Venus in Scorpio on the other hand continues to bring up themes around communication and honesty. Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces may cast an idealistic glow in your partnerships around November 23rd and 24th. You may feel more romantic or inspired, and it's a good time to channel this energy into art or simply enjoy its influence by losing yourself in a movie. Neptune stationing direct in Pisces on the 28th highlights the otherworldly glow permeating your partnerships. This is not a bad influence but you may have unrealistic expectations or the tendency to sacrifice yourself too easily for someone. It’s a good time to keep this in mind as you navigate your commitments.
The Full Moon in Gemini occurring early morning of November 30th is also a Lunar Eclipse, and the first eclipse of the winter season. This penumbral eclipse takes place in your vocational sector. This extra-potent Full Moon may therefore prompt you to reevaluate your long term goals and the path you are on. New opportunities may come up quite suddenly, and it may be a good time to evaluate your options regarding a career path. Mercury in Scorpio rules this Gemini eclipse and is sextile with Saturn on the 30th, which can help to focus you especially if you need to structure your thoughts around a certain situation. This Gemini eclipse may help you see a new trajectory ahead! You win when you can stay open to what presents itself leading up to this powerful timing, during this final weekend of November.
