This month provides an interesting contrast of inner and outer, Virgo, as you continue to reinvent yourself in the area of your own artistic creativity. Along with your self-expression, your sense of your own identity is transforming. This is in part based on delving down into your inner world, there to uncover hidden complexes, the residue of early childhood trauma. This unlocks great talent and is like finding a pot of gold in an undersea cavern, once it is that you can get past the dragon guarding the entrance. Relationship continues to be another important focus. You are developing in many important ways, and your vision of upcoming pathways is seeing great growth as well, based on your rapidly evolving worldview. There is an entire process going on with your prospective plans; first inspecting then rejecting or altering existing ones, as you proceed to re-think your future, and your career choices lately have been suffering a similar fate. You are essentially a voyager for greater meaning, and you benefit by embracing this concept more completely.

The recent Cancer solar eclipse New Moon, that took place on June 20th, ten days before the beginning of the current month, landed in your sector of societal involvement and future plans, making this area of life a focus for you during July. Your ruling planet Mercury is also still retrograde in this same sign of Cancer (until July 12th) emphasizing your social sector, so that you could find yourself busier than usual as the month gets started, perhaps moving around a lot and trying to get too many things accomplished. You might also have to contend with logistical issues – one of the side effects of Mercury Retrograde. This implies nothing major, although small annoyances could quickly derail you if you have a busy schedule; so try to not overbook. A solution for an ongoing conundrum could be emerging, or a complicated situation might seem to be reconcilable. On another front, Venus is now moving direct again in your career sector, and after a pause and much reconsideration, you will soon be able to get back on track with your bigger projects. More possibilities are emerging right now to help you progress in your chosen field. However, it could also be that responsibilities are weighing you down.
Saturn in retrograde returns to the sign of Capricorn on July 1st to ask you once again if you are serious about doing what you love. The Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on July 4th is a marker in the timeline of your creative life, where there has been a huge emphasis in the last two years. This focus in the Capricorn part of your chart has allowed you to hone in on your skills, and create an awareness of the unique contribution you have to offer in your community. A pet project, a child, a new love that has received time and attention is your focus at the beginning of the month.
Mercury Retrograde in Cancer squares Mars in Aries on July 8th, carrying tension between your social duties, or contracts, or the agreements you have with other people. This is especially so regarding the ones you rely on for support. There could be a conflict of interest with no resolution in sight.
On July 11th Chiron stations retrograde in Aries while the Moon and Mars conjoin it, leading up to the Last Quarter Moon in Aries on July 12th with Mars still conjunct Chiron. These aspects highlight your understanding of your depths, also intimate others, including elements of inner wounding that could also come up for you at this timing. Mercury stations direct in Cancer on the same day. Problems in partnerships are likely to arise. Sensitive issues around shared assets could need to be addressed. There is pressure surrounding your intimate connections or what binds you to other people. Mercury is squaring Mars again at the end of the month potentially delaying reconciliation on personal matters, financial agreements, or contracts. A lot can be accomplished around these issues but it might be good to keep in mind that not everything can get reconciled right away.
Jupiter retrograde in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces on July 19th can be good or bad depending on your ability to tap into this creative aspect. This third weekend of July is excellent for the arts, pleasure, romance, and stepping out of the mundane humdrum with music and cinema. However this aspect also has the potential to cloud your judgment with regard to partnerships.
The New Moon in Cancer occurs on July 20th, two days shy of the Sun entering Leo. This is a potentially serious New Moon, as the Sun and Moon oppose Saturn in Capricorn. This is a time of renewed commitment to what brings you joy, and what makes you feel connected to life. Acknowledge your social life, your connections, your extended family, and groups that enrich your social participation. The pressure from the Saturn opposition does highlight your role and contribution in such groups and calls you to greater presence.
The Sun enters Leo on July 22nd. As the Sun progresses through Leo over the next thirty days, it will gradually emphasize the need for you to stop, take stock, and find the self-reliance to look inside, and to recharge your batteries. Leo season is for you a good time to plan a solitary retreat or to take time away from work if you are in a position to do so.
The First Quarter Moon occurs in Scorpio on July 27th. A multitude of aspects take place on this day, coloring the last week of July. Venus in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces, while Jupiter in Capricorn is still sextile with Neptune. Mercury in Cancer squares Mars in Aries for a second time this month but this time with Mercury being in direct motion, rather than in retrograde. The conversations or issues with contracts and partnerships agreements that occurred on the Last Quarter Moon in Aries on July 12th are likely to resurface. With Mercury now moving direct in Cancer, and having had the month to think about it, you are in a better framework to make decisions.
