This is another potentially confronting and stretchy month for you, Sagittarius. Your worldview is likely shifting and morphing in the fallout from an intense couple of mid-month lunations, followed by the retrograde of Mercury in its last half, through your sector of day-to-day environments and service to others; an area of your life that will thus be subject to meditative introspection as the monthly cycles continue to unfold. Through it all, your creativity is stimulated. The Full Moon of April 5th brings surprise events and unexpected enlightenment to health regimens and day-to-day activities and patterns, plus a greater awareness concerning new initiatives in self-expression, including doubts and lingering feelings of not good enough that you might be forced to deal with; paradoxically the attention that you pay to these internal concerns are rewarding and have their upside heading into future months. The Solar Eclipse and New Moon taking place on April 19th in the very last minutes of the Aries sign indicates that you are potentially resolving some very ancient issues in this area. The Mercury Retrograde period that has been brewing in the weeks since the Full Moon lands full force on the 21st, initiating a period of some five weeks in all while Mercury is moving backwards through the sign of Taurus, in your service sector, and then recovering. This introspective period of time lasts you to the end of May before things will finally straighten out.

The very potent Aries New Moon from March 21st took place in your fifth sector of creative self-expression, along with a host of other planets, which may have manifested as a fiery new drive to express yourself and show the world who you are, extending into the current month. Due to that New Moon being directly influenced by Mars, Pluto, and the new planet beyond Pluto, Haumea, you might also feel compelled to take a deep long look at your values and your relationships, with motivation to see beneath the surface appearance to what is more profound, and operating at soul level within you. You might also feel called this month to improve the stability and sustainability of your resources, or perhaps to make headway working through any difficult emotional issues. The lesson at this time is to embrace your desire to roar like a lion and make yourself seen and heard along with a determination to review, revise and potentially radically alter the way your interior vision shows up out into the world. Valuable opportunities could present themselves, and these might need be thought through carefully before acting upon them. Be sure that you are right – in terms of your own thinking – and then go ahead.
On April 3rd, Mercury ingresses into Taurus, bringing a slower and more grounded approach to how you think and function, especially in your day-to-day routines and processes. This could be a wonderful time to incorporate new organizational and time management practices to improve the efficiency and functionality of your life. The theme of assessing the value of a healthy and organized life could color the entire month of April for you. And because of Mercury’s aspect to Pluto, and placement in your sixth sector of health regimens and service to others, you may be trying to make better sense of how to put together the complex puzzle pieces of your life and schedule in order for things to unfold more freely.
On the late evening of April 5th, the Libra Full Moon lands in your sector of groups, friendships, and societal contribution, with the Sun closely conjunct Chiron, the Wounded Healer, which is also near Jupiter and in aspect to Trickster Uranus. This is a vivid and intuitively engaging combination affecting also your conception of future plans. Because Chiron is conjunct the Sun, this key lunation could stimulate issues of inner wounding, likely the residue of early trauma, that has become more fully ripe for healing. It could be that you will feel the need to address these wounds with a very close friend or two who can hold a safe space for you. The results of doing so can bring tremendous awakening and enlightening liberation from psychological and emotional blockages that have been in place for a long time, which in turn will likely improve your sense of joy and capacity for fun.
Venus moves into your opposite sign of Gemini late on April 10th, making a trine to Pluto in Aquarius. This can inspire you to develop much deeper and more transformative conversations with others, and to make changes in your relationship dynamic in response to events and realizations. The Sun also joins your ruling planet, Jupiter, in Aries in your sector of joy and self-expression for the next few days, beckoning you to open up your heart and let love come shining out as you handle the ups and downs of partnership. You are feeling confident and colorful today, so that you are likely to allow yourself to be seen and heard.
As Mercury begins its early shadow period on April 7th, in Taurus, ahead of its upcoming retrograde cycle, be mindful that anything happening between now and mid- to late May is likely going to need to be revisited during the last part of May and into June after Mercury is actually retrograde (April 21-May 14) and then recovering (May 15-May 31). Because Mercury is in your sector of health regimens, life management, and personal refinement right now and through this retrograde period, you may be spending a good deal of time reexamining your habitual patterns, with an eye to improving these; or the inquiry could be over how organized and effective your daily routines are. It is an excellent time to seriously consider breaking any bad habits that detrimentally affect your health and well-being. This placement brings a pragmatic focus to your mind, so it is also possible that you will be spending the next seven weeks refining all the intricate facets of your life.
The Solar Eclipse New Moon on the late evening of April 19th takes place in the final degree of Aries, again corresponding to your self-expression and joy sector, and closely squares Pluto, creating further transformational impact. You might be working on developing greater confidence to express your unique identity more fully to the world. This exciting desire to be seen and heard that has developed over the past month is still burning within you, and because these are the last moments of Sun in Aries this year, any opportunities to take advantage of to be recognized might best be acted upon.
The Sun and Moon both enter Taurus by about four hours after the eclipse, still in square with Pluto. This can encourage you to examine how much you value your health and functionality, and how altering your routines and choices can help you better align with your ideals and hopes for a healthier future. It is vital during times like these to gather all your ducks in a row to make sure your assets and resources are sustainable and protected.
The Mercury Retrograde period of time that begins on April 21st is good for reflective meditation and conversation about examining the true scenario of your health and life management, but it is not a great time to attempt to force important decisions, especially related to finances. You could be reconsidering certain choices you made to see if they are truly healthy, along with any motivations you may have contemplated concerning how you relate to your partner or business partner and manage your day-to-day activities moving forward. Whatever the case, a close reexamination of your physical and mental health can help align you with the values and ideals you aspire to live up to by the time Mercury stations direct and goes through its recovery period during May.
The First Quarter Moon of April 27th in your sector of higher mind represents another interesting juncture leading into the month’s last weekend, and could represent further internal tensions that may come up as you continue to examine the difference between what you want to accomplish and what you are currently doing.
