This is a significant month for you, Pisces, in your continuing saga of discovering who it is you really are. December, with its mid-month Solar Eclipse, has its focus for you on outer achievement. And yet as part of a push for greater involvement in career and profession, this month also brings you closer, in many ways, to the mystery of your existence. There have been a series of deep changes taking place over this climactic year that have given you glimpses of a way forward into better alignment with your most authentic Self, and that have allowed you to understand that this is in large part a voyage within. You do well to recognize these different facets of yourself, inner and outer, as two sides of the very same coin. You have enormous dedication now to gathering the reins for a new vision of life direction that embraces both these disparate parts. Their integration is a life-long study but as a noted astrologer has said, it is in reality “the only game in town.”

We begin the month sandwiched between two eclipses. Eclipses are important markers in astrology that have been used for thousands of years. They usually highlight the signs in which they are occurring emphasizing or exaggerating their qualities. The impact of eclipses is said to reverberate several months after they occur which means we may not always see the changes that they bring right away. Just before the current month began, the Lunar Eclipse in Gemini on November 30th took place in your home sector which is linked to family, roots, traditions, and where we come from. Gemini is a sign often associated with optionality and choices. There may be something emerging in connection with your home or your base of operation. This first eclipse here may trigger a line of questioning in connection with where you want to be in the world. You could feel a sense of restlessness or dissatisfaction in connection with your current living arrangement. It may be that the limitations permeating 2020 has awakened a desire to see more, and get more out of life. The recent New Moon in Scorpio from mid-November may have reset you into a deep wanderlust mode, and you may feel the need to challenge yourself with new projects, and more authentic learning experiences.
The communication planet Mercury enters Sagittarius on the 1st, emphasizing dialogues at work. You may be getting busier than usual as the end of the year approaches. On December 5th and 6th, Venus — the planet of love and connection currently in the mysterious waters of Scorpio — trines Neptune in Pisces. You may find it harder to focus while getting lost in romantic reveries. This is not a bad influence but it could be harder to stick with your responsibilities. You may feel like escaping reality all together. It’s a good time for creative, and artistic pursuits but not so great for discipline. This influence continues well into the second week of the month when the Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces. It may be hard to see a situation clearly at this time. You could feel confused or unclear about where things are heading. Mercury in Sagittarius on the 13th in square with Pluto could mean you have to wrestle with a lot of contradictory information. This may affect your sense of purpose and where you thought you were heading. The more you try to logically understand something the harder this transit could be. It may be best to wait until later in the month to draw a conclusion on a situation or make an important decision.
A total Solar Eclipse in the sign of Sagittarius occurs on December 14th. This second eclipse of the season packs a lot of punch, and occurs at the top of your chart in your career sector where you may have had to contend with unknown elements in recent weeks. This Sagittarius eclipse New Moon is trine with Eris in Aries, and also Mars, corresponding to your financial sector therefore linking linking money and vocation. You are going through an evolution of values, deciding which are the ones that are worth fighting for. The changes occurring in the world could be directly influencing your direction, and by extension how you make your money. You may be thinking about doing things differently as you start to intuit the shape of things to come.
On December 16th, Saturn re-enters Aquarius where it transits until March 2023. It initially entered Aquarius in March, but only stayed there until the beginning of July. This ingress kicks off a two-year period of deeper introspection. You may start to feel like you need to get to the bottom of what you want, and start stirring your life in directions that are aligned with who you are becoming. Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces also enters Aquarius on the 19th where it will spend the next year before entering Pisces at the end of 2021. You could be craving more space for solitude and contemplative practices as Jupiter transit in Aquarius, intuiting that a deeper resurrection is in the works. This gets further emphasized in the days that follow, leading up to the 21st, the Winter Solstice, when Jupiter and Saturn will come to their exact conjunction, highlighted by the Sun and Moon. By mid-month, you can get a glimpse of them along with the Moon shining brightly in the West, 45 minutes after sunset.
Mercury enters Capricorn on the 20th, followed by the Sun on the 21st signaling the Winter Solstice, or the first day of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere. A dynamic transition is occurring in this quite significant configuration. The end of the year may emphasize your inner work of digging down into areas below conscious levels of your psyche, and as well, vocational direction, your goals, and deeper ambitions for the future. Jupiter and Saturn perfect their so-called Great Conjunction in the sign of Aquarius on the day of the Solstice inaugurating a 200-year Air period which subsequent conjunctions focusing on Air signs, instead of Earth, promising significant cultural and societal changes in the years to come, beginning with this next one.
The Full Moon in Cancer on December 29th could bring you clarity and insights. Reflections and experiences of the last year in connection with a romantic partner, your creativity, or your children may come up. You may feel contemplative as you reminisce on the past and how much closer you are getting to understanding what it means to feel emotionally nourished, supported, and connected.
