This is another in the series of stressful months for you, Capricorn. You continue to be faced with a collision between jumping off the tracks into new directions versus staying the course of existing habits that could prove stifling to your developmental progress. This timing is heavy with responsibility, therefore, and yet ultimately freeing. You need a high level of discernment to make the decisions now that will best serve your future evolving self. Your own self-concept and self-definition are on the line, as you are perhaps forced to admit that what once worked for you might be no longer of utility in changing times, and with a recognition as well of your own independent growth. You must, to some extent, be willing to let imagination be your guide, even as you struggle to maintain some semblance of your previous identity. The mid-month retrograde of Mercury, beginning on the 13th, and lasting through mid-November, brings new concepts of a more vibrant future into view, for questioning and refinement of approach.

The month of October opens with a bright Full Moon in Aries in your home sector highlighting the need to balance your professional and private life. Things could be coming to fruition as you learn to settle into a new equilibrium between your career and your comfort zone. The Full Moon also brings clarity in connection with where you want to be in the world and where you want to grow roots. With Mars currently retrograde in Aries, you may have been feeling a sense of urgency to find THE place you call home but things seem to keep getting in the way. If so, this is part of a bigger process which is highlighted at the beginning of the month. The Full Moon is also closely conjunct Chiron, which calls for an acknowledgement of potential insecurities when it comes to these topics. You may have an opportunity at this time to come to grips with some deep-rooted fears that stand in your way of finding your safe place. Acknowledge your need for self-sufficiency and a new outlook or a solution will start to emerge. Pay close attention to what your intuition is telling you. It may still take a while for you to get there, but knowing what you want is the first step on this journey.
Venus enters the sign of Virgo on October 2nd. Virgo is an Earth sign which means that Venus there is offering a supportive influence to you this month. Your sense of perspective and long-term vision can benefit from Venus in Virgo, especially if you engage with Venusian principles. This means allowing your creativity, your inspiration, and what you love to have more say in your long-term goals. There is a big focus on your vocational pursuits in general this month, and you can benefit from connecting to your muse. Your desire to bring beauty and purpose to your life is accentuated while the Sun travels in Libra. Let your creative flow be your teacher and your guide. It might be that a resolution you took around the timing of the recent Virgo New Moon, in mid-September, is starting to emerge.
There could be a potential for powerful realizations to occur when Pluto stations direct in your sign on the 4th. This planet of depth and transformation has been in your sign since 2008, and likely has been bringing you sweeping changes regarding how you see yourself. You may have a moment of lucidity in regard to how much you have evolved in the recent years, and continuously get closer to your own personal sense of power.
A potentially stressful few days leading to the Last Quarter Moon in Cancer on October 9th could find you trying to divide your attention in too many directions. The pressure of your ambitions could be catching up with you. You have a lot of ideas and may be putting too many eggs in your baskets. The Sun in Libra squaring Jupiter in Capricorn, with the Moon opposed, could accentuate this tendency during the second weekend of October.
Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio on the 13th just as the Sun in Libra comes into an opposition with Mars retrograde in Aries. The potential for challenging circumstances leading to the New Moon in Libra a few days later is high, but remember that the current pressure is creating the space for new forms to come into being. This could play out particularly acutely in connection with your career goals. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio until November 3rd, or even two weeks longer when you take the retrograde shadow into account, could push you to revise your current allegiances. Your desire to break free from the influence of others takes center stage, perhaps, initiating a time of questioning and revisioning.
The New Moon in Libra of October 16th brings a pressurized reset in matters related to your calling. You may have difficult choices to make but they come with a renewed sense of purpose. There might be a need to clarify or redefine your role in the context of a group or collaboration. You may also be asked to play the role of a teacher or a mentor, although you need to pay close attention to the way you manage your time, to ensure you do not lose sight of your longer term projects.
The Sun enters the sign of Scorpio on October 22nd, shifting the attention even more on your creative goals and your participation within a community. With Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio there may already be negotiations in the works. Trying to balance your desire for personal autonomy while seizing opportunities could mean adding more working hours to your already busy schedule. It helps when you can say that you know your worth, and are able to make sure you are compensated for your time, so that you don’t end up frustrated at the end of the day.
The last week of October brings clarification into your collaborations, and where to situate yourself within them. Venus enters the sign of Libra on October 27th, bringing tones of grace and harmony to your career and professional life. This is a diplomatic transit, lasting about a month, which could make things flow more smoothly, especially if you are willing to pay attention to your internal needs as well during this time period.
The Full Moon in Taurus on October 31st is dramatic for you, and highlights your creative ingenuity and your personal expression. This Full Moon may bring the culmination of a project or a romantic scenario, and also features a conjunction with trickster Uranus, indicating fluctuations and surprises. Under these fast-paced skies, it may finally be time to more fully take ownership of your personal muse and what brings you joy.
