This month signals further stages in the transformation of the way that you regard your very identity, Cancer, and especially your vocational aspirations along with your public statement. Last month’s wild lunation cycle, sparked by the solar eclipse New Moon of mid-August, and extending into the first ten days of the current month, brought to bear unexpected leadership qualities within you, based on Mars at 0° of your sign, though debilitated there, with Mars also the ruler of your tenth sector of career and professional life. It might be said as well that members of your sign will often rather nurture the other than fight. Nevertheless, there is that Mars, also in partile or same-degree sextile to Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in Taurus, so that this could have raised the issue of taking your stand, as also supported by highlighted Eris. In other words, you could find that fight you must. Numinous Neptune has also been highlighted right at the Midheaven or vocational point of your chart, so that mystical, or transpersonal, goals might have been enticing you in your career choices more than strictly practical ones. With the advent of another potent New Moon, however, taking place on the evening of September 10th in your sector of communication and learning, this mystical side of things does retreat somewhat. In this dynamic New Moon, Mars in your sign is featured by a close sextile from Sun and Moon, so that your initiating energy is again engaged. We find also prominent Saturn, rather than Neptune, indicating that the grounding influence of the here-and-now earthly situation has become your guidepost as you weigh changes in your activities in general. Saturn slows things down, which could bring up a bit of frustration, and yet the ultimate reward of the entire September period will be in the lessons learned, so that you do well to stay as open as possible to whatever it is that decides to transpire.

Mars Sextile Mercury and Aspects Jupiter + Saturn – Sept 1st
You may feel more motivated to tackle everyday tasks and communicate more directly as Mars sextiles Mercury, giving you momentum to handle errands or make decisions. Mars square Saturn could make career responsibilities feel like a constraint on your personal freedom, while his connection to Jupiter may encourage you to think about how greater financial security could give you more independence. Balancing personal freedom with professional obligations could be the challenge.
Venus Opposite Chiron – September 7th - 12th
Venus brings a particularly sweet influence to your fifth sector of romance, pleasure, and creative expression, making it easier to enjoy yourself and follow what brings you genuine joy. Yet Chiron in your eleventh sector of friendship and belonging may expose sensitivities around whether you feel accepted by the people around you. You might feel pulled between doing what makes your heart happy and worrying about how others perceive it.
The New Moon in Virgo – September 10th
The Virgo New Moon falls in your third sector of communication, local environment, and the way you process your surroundings. Therefore, this refreshing lunar phase could encourage you to reorganize how you communicate, refine the way you approach daily logistics, or make a practical adjustment to something that has been cluttering your mind. The Sun and Moon’s sextile to Mars could give you the initiative to act on those thoughts, with your emotions potentially motivating you to speak up, make a decision, or take action. Mercury, the ruler of this New Moon, is in your emotional fourth sector of home and family, possibly making your inner and domestic world an important part of what you’re thinking through. Yet Mercury’s opposition to Neptune could make your professional direction feel less certain, perhaps leaving you wondering whether your public responsibilities reflect what you really want, while also making it harder to know what would give you a stronger sense of emotional security. You might feel more compassionate toward those closest to you or more willing to consider their needs before deciding what comes next. Mercury’s grand air trine with Pluto and Uranus is a transformative aspectual connection that bodes further changes in the way you think things through either consciously or unconsciously. Uranus, freshly retrograde, could make this process anything but predictable. An internal realization might arrive out of nowhere, disrupting an assumption or sending your thoughts off in a completely different direction. Pluto could also intensify psychological shadows around trust or vulnerability. Meanwhile, Mercury in Libra makes a semi-sextile to Venus in Scorpio which could create friction between wanting to keep things light versus feeling pulled toward something more emotionally intense. While you could want to enjoy yourself, pursue romance, or simply have more fun, another part of you knows there is something deeper that needs to be acknowledged. This New Moon could help you find a more honest way to balance having pleasure with emotional truth.
Mercury Opposite Neptune + Trine Pluto – September 11th - 13th
The busyness of your private life could make it harder to keep up with professional goals as Mercury in your domestic fourth sector opposes Neptune in your tenth sector of achievement. You could also feel mentally pulled between what is happening at home and a career path that feels unclear. The trine from Mercury to Pluto in your eighth sector of intimacy and shared resources could help you get to the bottom of what’s really driving your uncertainty, particularly when emotional attachments or financial ties are involved.
Mercury Trine Uranus – September 12th - 14th
Your inner world could become unusually active as Mercury trines Uranus, possibly putting new thoughts or ideas into motion around a private emotional concern. An abrupt realization could change the way you understand an old emotional pattern, or it may help you break from something that has been limiting you. Uranus can also stir up restlessness beneath the surface, making it difficult to keep thinking about things in the same old way.
Mercury Opposite Saturn – September 16th - 18th
Family conversations or activity within your private life could feel heavier as Mercury opposes Saturn, particularly when career responsibilities are demanding your attention. You might feel caught between what needs to happen at home and expectations placed on you publicly, making it harder to think clearly about your next step. This tension could encourage you to take a more realistic look at what you can actually carry.
Mercury Sextile Jupiter – September 19th - September 22nd
Conversations at home could open up new possibilities as Mercury sextiles Jupiter, particularly around money, security, or what you want to build for yourself. A family discussion might help you see your resources differently, or talking through a practical concern could leave you feeling more supported. This could be a good moment to consider how your private life and financial priorities can work together.
Libra Equinox – September 22nd
Home and family matters could take on greater importance as Libra season begins. The Sun illuminates your fourth sector of domestic life and emotional security, making you more conscious of familial dynamics and how they affect you. You may feel motivated to interior decorate or restore peace in your private life with Libra at the helm.
Sun Opposite Neptune + Trine Pluto – September 23rd - 27th
Greater awareness of your emotional and domestic needs could make you question whether your public direction still reflects the life you want as the Sun opposes Neptune. You might feel pulled between familial desires and professional expectations or become more compassionate toward the people depending on you. As you focus on what gives you a sense of belonging, Pluto could intensify questions around shared resources, dependency, or power within important financial arrangements.
Full Moon in Aries – September 26th
Your public life could feel especially emotionally charged under this Full Moon in Aries. With the Moon in your tenth sector of career and achievement, you may feel more connected to your vocation or particularly sensitive to where your life is headed. The Moon’s close conjunction with Neptune could heighten your intuition around your aspirations, put you in an imaginative mood about where your path could lead, or make your feelings about your public identity more difficult to neatly define. The Full Moon’s ruler, Mars in your first sector, makes this culmination especially personal. You could feel more compelled to assert yourself or protect your own interests. Your values are also affected. Mars’ square to Chiron could also expose a tender spot around feeling capable or recognized for what you’re trying to accomplish. As Saturn in your tenth sector is also featured, some of the more serious implications surrounding your public direction could become harder to overlook. You may find yourself considering what you have time for, what you’re ready to commit to, or whether a particular path is sustainable for you long-term. What feels more emotionally fluid at first could gradually require a firmer decision about what you’re willing to take on. Meanwhile, both the Sun and Moon are positively aspecting Uranus and Pluto, potentially connecting this culmination with deeper emotional or psychologically transformational processes. You could experience an unforeseen revelation or find that something you’ve been processing beneath the surface changes how you understand your life direction. Pluto may intensify psychological shadows around trust and vulnerability, allowing room to more fully understand yourself at these deeper levels.
Mars Enters Leo – September 27th
Mars in Leo could put more pressure on your finances, potentially bringing necessary expenses or an urge to spend impulsively. You may become more irritated by income issues, but this is also a useful time to cut out bad spending habits, tighten your budget, and take control of your resources. You might also feel compelled to act on your core values and strengthen your sense of self-worth, while questioning values that no longer resonate.
Mercury Enters Scorpio – September 30th
Intense curiosity could pull you toward creative projects, romance, and hobbies you want to understand on a deeper level, with Mercury in Scorpio giving your mind an investigative and possibly obsessive edge. You could become absorbed in developing a creative idea, while conversations with lovers or children could also be revealing and emotionally deep. The trine to your Ascendant can make it easier to put your feelings into words, and you may gravitate toward subjects that feel mysterious, intimate, or compelling.
