This is tough month for you, Aries, and one in which many areas of your life could substantially alter. The current world situation is of course extreme, which provides a fitting backdrop to your own rather extreme process. Independent of global societal considerations, however, the astrology for you is clear. For you, intensity of change is paramount, as indicated by the fact that Mars, your ruler, began this current lunation cycle – stemming from the last full week of the previous month – in close conjunction with both expansive Jupiter and transformational Pluto, in your career sector! As the month gets underway, Mars is also conjunct limiting Saturn, in Aquarius, indicting a supreme dedication of intention that will see you through, if you will let it. The major point to keep clearly in your mind is that the Universe is basically on your side, and that everything happens for a reason. It is not so much a question of finding the silver lining, but rather being prepared to take maximal spiritual advantage of whatever he world might throw at you.

The month of April arrives in all it’s intensity with the First Quarter Moon taking place in a key sector of your chart concerned with home and family, being in the sign of Cancer. The Sun in Aries squaring the Moon in Cancer carries themes of security versus individuality, and challenges you to reconcile contradictory impulses. This is of course your season, Aries, but with your ruler Mars still tightly conjoined Saturn in Aquarius to begin the month, your range of motion could feel restricted. Time and patience is of the essence, especially in the first half of April.
Venus enters Gemini on April 3rd where she will spend the next four months. Venus transiting in the sign of the twins highlights your communications, your neighborhood, and more extensively your siblings or close friendships. These areas of your life could be more significant in the coming weeks. Venus in Astrology is often linked to what we value, and what we are attracted to. The sign of Gemini is amongst other things connected to exchanging information. Venus in Gemini is chatty, curious and loves to connect with others. You might find yourself appreciating all the social platforms that allow you to exchange with your surroundings. More extensively staying in touch with your brothers, sisters, and close friends might be just what the doctor ordered in these uncertain times. While Venus travels through the sign of Gemini, you might find yourself reflecting on communication, and it would be an excellent time for a writing project or begin a journaling practice.
Jupiter’s conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn permeates the first week of April. This is a powerful aspect that can bring a strong urge to transform existing structures in your life. For Aries, this conjunction takes place in the vocational sector of your chart. You are arriving at the end of a serious period of reflection, hard work, and perhaps limiting circumstances in connection with your career direction. You will now start to see the emergence of new opportunities and risks that must be taken. The Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in your career sector should give you the faith, and courage you need to take the plunge in a new direction.
The tempo will start to increase as we progress further into Aries season. April 7th signals the timing of a potent Full Moon configuration greatly emphasizing your seventh sector of relationship, and potentially bringing surprise interactions and accompanying revelations.
Mercury finally leaves Pisces and enters Aries on the evening of April 10th. Mercury is a planet most often associated with communications, as well as your general thought-processes. The swift planet has also just spent the last two months back and forth through Pisces, dredging up all sorts of material from your unconscious. Mercury’s ingress into Aries will be quite supportive in the weeks to come, and should help you clarify your intentions after this long period of reflection. Mercury comes into a sextile with Saturn in Aquarius upon entering Aries. You might find that your thinking is serious during the second weekend of April, as your attention turns towards your long-term goals. There is a lot of energy behind these aspects to support your ideas, projects, and missions. You should have the ability to focus on getting ahead.
The Last Quarter Moon in Capricorn mid-month carries some tension between your personal needs and what you think you should do. You are in the process of letting go of old undermining narrative in connection with your place in the world. Your desire to show up authentically and follow your path versus the efforts needed could feel challenging. Your own ambitions could seem out of reach. However, Aries folks are not known to give up, and this is simply a test of endurance.
The Sun enters Taurus on April 19th illuminating your house of finance for the next month. The Sun squaring Saturn in Aquarius upon its entry into Taurus indicates that there are very real obligations and responsibilities you must deal with to get your finances in order. It’s not the end of the world but the second half of April must be met with pragmatism while not losing sight of your long-term vision.
The New Moon in Taurus on April 22nd is a potent soil to plant the seeds of the very real changes you want to bring to your material reality. These changes will take time to materialize but this is a powerful time of inception. A New Moon is characterized by darkness. It is the time of the month when her light is minimal and the nights are very dark. It is hard to see the shape of things to come but do not underestimate what is gestating and slowly taking shape under the cover of darkness. New roots are forming, and for you Aries, this relates to your ability to provide yourself with financial stability in a changing economy. The New Moon in Taurus – squaring Saturn in Aquarius and conjoined with Uranus – is inviting you to stay ahead of the curve with your assets. Outside of the box ideas or future-oriented concepts could help generate revenue, especially if you pair these with necessary pragmatism.
