You are motivated in a self-oriented yet not selfish way right now, Aquarius, in this, the aftermath of your birthday time. Your own personal development is really up for you, although the concerns and perspectives of others around you do serve as a foil for further reflecting on your own evolutionary pathway forward. There is also quite a lot of activity in the area of unconscious realms within you, as revealed in dreams and subtle intuitional ideas. You are feeling your way into a new understanding of your deepest values, those that are true for you no matter what, having little or absolutely nothing to do with current fashions of consensus thinking. With the mid-March New Moon conjunct Chiron in your resources sector, you might encounter emotional ups and downs over the last two weeks of the month. Curiosity as ever is your friend, especially if you can turn potential frustration into a gentle inquiry as to causes and effects.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
The month of March begins with a Full Moon in your eighth house of fear, depth, and transformation. It’s an excellent time to explore your fears with those you are closest with. The eighth house is also a house traditionally associated with join resources or your spouse’s finances, as well as insurance, investments, and protection against loss. You might be looking at these issues very carefully and trying to figure out the most practical solutions to some deep-seated issues.
On March 4th the Sun and Neptune conjoin in Pisces in your second house while Mercury and Venus also conjoin in Pisces in your second house. With a stellium of planets rolling through the house of your personal finances, resources, values, and earning power, there is a strong tension between your own needs and resources and those of another, or those that are shared. You may be feeling the need to share or give what you have to those in need, but just remember to stay grounded in your own needs, as well, otherwise you may have a tendency to lose yourself.
Late March 5th into early March 6th Mercury will cross into Aries and on March 6th Venus will also enter Aries, both moving into your third house of the mind, communication, and messengers. It’s very easy for situations surrounding your siblings to escalate very quickly right now, so be cautious and patient if stressful situations arise. In fact, communication in relationships in general may be somewhat strained right now, perhaps colored by a tendency for everyone involved to be too selfish or willful. Take the long view and don’t be afraid to contemplate your next several moves before communicating to others about your plans.
Between late in the evening of March 10th through March 13th Mercury and Venus in Aries in your third house will be moving through square aspects to Saturn in Capricorn in your twelfth house. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, people will try to plot or plan things behind our backs. Sometimes people unconsciously put roadblocks in front of us just as soon as we get clear about what we feel or what we need. At the same time, if we communicate too aggressively, impatiently, or selfishly, it’s very easy to lose the respect of others or to essentially sabotage our own best intentions.
On March 17th the New Moon in Pisces lights up your second house of finances, values, and resources. This brings fresh energy to considering your financial position, and perhaps also to letting go of over-dependence on using your current income as a barometer of success, for it is not the only nor the most important such measure. Surprise information may occur to throw things into a different hue. Also, Mars enters Capricorn and moves into your twelfth house on this same day. There are great benefits for the practice and hard work you put in behind the scenes right now. There are times in life that can be quite confining or confusing, but sometimes the best strategy is to simply keep our heads down and keep working or moving forward. Stick with whatever difficulty may arise, and remember that with Mars in Capricorn, perseverance always pays off in the long run!
March 20th marks the Spring Equinox, at which time the Sun goes into Aries, moving into your third house, and signaling the dawning of the light half of the year. The Sun is exalted in Aries, and hence the advent of spring is catalyzing you to make changes. The Sun in the third house is about communication and learning. Whatever you are being called to speak, learn, write, or share right now, this moment marks the changing of the tide for the better. Just remember to have patience because sometimes the sign of Aries burns out very quickly if we are too impulsive with the new vision we’re receiving. Put a plan in place and use the enthusiasm you’re feeling to build a long-term solution.
Next, on March 23rd Venus in Aries in your third house squares Pluto in Capricorn in your twelfth house, while Mercury also turns retrograde in Aries in your third house. Miscommunications, changes of plans, challenges with technology or with transit or travel are normal under Mercury Retrogrades, with this one lasting well into the following month of April, but all the more so when Mercury Retrogrades in the third house, which is exclusively related to technology, media, communication, and transit. Just remember that most of these meltdowns happen in order to bring our attention back to the present moment, a signal from the universe to take it slow. If you’re rushing around right now, then you’re likely to experience a meltdown of epic proportions. It’s also a very powerful time for your relationships. Remember, relationships are here to help us evolve, spiritually. In order to do this, we have to be open to experiences of death and rebirth, as well as happiness and bliss.
On March 28th Venus briefly conjoins Uranus in Aries in your third house. Here we see the planet of love and relationships conjoin with the planet of the rebel and the innovator in the house of communication and the mind. You may be called to think outside of the box or to come up with innovative solutions to complex creative challenges or relationship demands. Don’t be surprised if your inner rebel or child needs to act out!
Finally, on March 31st it’s a Full Moon in Libra in your ninth house of higher learning, faith, and long journeys. Sometimes the best common ground we share with others is found in returning to our core faith statements. It’s harder to get lost in power struggles when we return to larger, unifying visions of the cosmos. If you don’t see eye-to-eye with others, you will be called again and again to empathize with the beliefs of those who are outsiders, or with those who are very different from yourself. This is your gift. You are a cosmic diplomat!
