This is a month of reclaiming yourself, Sagittarius, a chance to move beyond presently stuck places within you that have been the subject of much soul-searching over the difficult weeks of this past summer. Your worldview is shifting, along with your values, in the midst of fundamental change. You are bent on movement as a vital necessity to your growth, and yet also holding on for dear life to an inherent resistance to any alteration. In this context, your work in the world looms large, and is transformative, as is your call to service to the greater whole. If this seems like a strange cocktail of feelings and desires, laden with paradox, well, it is. You are feeling a basic instability and the urge to transform at the very core of your being, while also resisting major transformation. The key might be that you accept your own unconscious process and hidden angelic guidance as more relevant than all your overt mental gymnastics and logical calculation.

September starts with the planet Mercury in Leo in your ninth house of higher education, spirituality, and long journeys making a sextile to Venus in Libra, in your eleventh house of friends, groups, and dreams, culminating on September 3rd. You are likely finding community, friendship, and stimulation right now from friends or within groups, and it wouldn’t be surprising if your social life and your spiritual or academic pursuits are a strong part of the conversation. Remember that it’s not enough to belong to a group of people that simply look nice; Sagittarians need to connect with people about what makes life worth living. Why are we here, what do we care about, and how can we soak up the adventure of a lifetime' Your best friends, and the most fruitful connections, will be with those who are as passionate about trying to answer these questions as you are right now.
On September 8th, Venus in Libra in the eleventh house will then square Mars in Capricorn in your second house of finances, money, and values, emphasizing hard work with the goal of future gains, collaboration and business, colleagues and investments, or creative ambitions and the kind of people that can help you meet your goals. With Saturn moving through your second house since last December (2017), you have recently entered a season of life dedicated to personal growth work around money, finances, time, and energy. Your values are changing, or perhaps becoming more focused and mature right now. Even though this transit is very brief, there is an opportunity here to take another step forward, but it will require you to evaluate your relationships and social life to determine if they are in alignment with your most basic values and goals.
September 9th, the New Moon then falls in the sign of Virgo in your tenth house of career, opposing Neptune in Pisces in your fourth house of home and family. How are you balancing work life and home life right now' How does your work affect your family or your living arrangement, or vice versa' How do you make important decisions about your professional future when there is uncertainty or some perpetual haze or fog surrounding domestic issues' There may not be a simple solution, but the lunation cycle initiated now, to beyond the end of the month, will allow you to think about these issues more carefully. The good news is that with Jupiter in a trine to Neptune during this New Moon, and about to enter your home sign in November, clarity, direction, and a revitalized sense of purpose are on the way. So even if you can’t see the forest for the trees just yet, all of this is likely to change for the better very shortly!
On September 12th, Venus will enter Scorpio in your twelfth house of dissolution and surrender and oppose Uranus in Taurus in your sixth house of work, suffering, and service. Venus in combination with Uranus loves to defy traditional sexual and artistic values, so you might be noticing a rebellious or highly creative energy surrounding the way you communicate or express yourself, or within your close relationships. However, given the dynamics of the twelfth and sixth house, it’s possible that the kinds of changes you are facing in your relationships right now are a little more intense, personal, and transformative. Any twelfth house Venus transit often requires a very deep level of surrender and acceptance regarding the shadows or unconscious material present in our relationships. These themes are only going to intensify for you as Venus turns retrograde next month in Scorpio, but the good news is that with the opposition to Uranus there is an opportunity here for real change, growth, and liberation from patterns that are no longer serving you.
On September 18th Mars in Aquarius in your third house of communication, learning, and the mind, will also square Uranus in the sixth house of work, suffering, and service. This is an excellent moment for a mental or intellectual breakthrough. You might be feeling inspired, inventive, and perhaps somewhat rebellious or defiant. You could also be looking at changes to your daily work life, or perhaps some changes related to daily travel or transit. Just remember, while this transit emphasizes individuality and freedom, with Venus in your twelfth house you could easily put your foot in your mouth, so be sure to use just a little more tact and care when making any big decisions.
Between September 22nd and 23rd, the Sun will pass through the gateway of the Fall Equinox, moving into Libra and your eleventh house of friends, groups, and dreams. For the next thirty days as the Sun journeys through your eleventh house it’s a great time to draw support or resources from friends, or to clarify your values and ideals by associating with people who inspire you.
Finally, on September 24th, the Full Moon falls in Aries and your fifth house of creativity, children, and pleasure, opposite Mercury and the Sun in Libra in your eleventh house of friends, groups, and dreams, creating a T-square with Saturn in Capricorn in your second house of money and values. Opportunities for collaboration or creativity may be colliding with limited time, energy, and resources, or you might be trying to define your social or creative commitments and make some difficult choices about your long-term dreams and goals. Figuring out how to be yourself while remaining as productive, efficient, and committed or socially mature as possible, isn’t easy, but its worth repeating that whatever challenges or choices you are facing right now, you are on the brink of personal empowerment with Jupiter preparing to enter your home sign in November. Until then, this Full Moon is asking you to fully commit to staying in the present for the time being, facing and working through the energies of the moment with all the wisdom and patience of a true sage.
