This month is a powerful one for you, Leo, as you continue to attempt to better understand your soul intention for this lifetime. You have been wrestling with questions concerning your basic mission statement and how to enact it for many months now, especially potent in these last few weeks of the new year. Now, with this month of March, in keeping with the Mercury Retrograde period, you are taking a deeply introspective look at everything that is going on within you. There is a way that you are focused primarily on others, and on new paths toward making your way in the world, rather than on yourself. Thus this depth exploration naturally leads also to considerations of intimacy and important partners. The Aries New Moon of the 24th a particularly significant time for an examination of partnership commitment. Leading up to this timing, the March 9th Full Moon is also a powerful juncture for better understanding the relationship dynamics that apply in your own life. This is a timing when you are seeking the bridge, through your business and other partnerships, between what you do in the outer world and the way in which important others in your life affect this process.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
The Sun transiting in Pisces for the first half of March highlights personal evolution and intimacy issues, as well as any legal and financial obligations that bind you to others. Then, too, Mercury Retrograde in Pisces has seen you rethink your contracts and agreements. This process could have also unearthed some anxieties surrounding independence and your need for sovereignty. No one is an island, and we must learn to accept that life is full of one kind of contract or another. Most of the time agreements made with others support our own progress, and can help us move forward. However, you might want to recognize that these sorts of agreements can sometimes become a drain, especially when the power dynamics are off balance.
Mercury Retrograde in Pisces has also been your cue to understand better where some of your fears originate. You have had many opportunities to clarify unconscious patterns this year, and are becoming an expert at this. Being aware of things that had remained long buried has allowed you to make direct connections between stress and your body. This process will continue this month with some powerful aspects taking place in the second half of the month, in Capricorn, corresponding to your sector of health and well being.
On March 4th, Mercury retrogrades back into Aquarius. A conversation about partnership that took place at the beginning of February could come back around or finally be resolved.
The March 9th Full Moon takes place in the sign of Virgo, highlighting the financial sector of your chart, while Mercury ruling the Moon in Virgo transits and stations direct in your house of partnerships. Once again themes of financial independence versus reliance on others are highlighted. Full Moons are often linked to a culmination, and this one could be about a long process leading to more financial autonomy. It’s a time of illumination when you can celebrate your hard work. You could be more emotionally attached to your material needs and success at this time or you could feel the need to take stock of your financial situation. With the Sun and Neptune in Pisces opposing this Full Moon there could be some confusion regarding investments or contracts. However, with Mercury stationing direct on the same day you will begin approaching a clarity that is within reach. Venus meets Uranus in Taurus as well, bringing original ideas to the table.
Between March 10th and March 16th, a series of positive aspects between the Sun in Pisces and planets in Capricorn highlight how stress and your body are linked. It’s a good time to move beyond your comfort zone while still being mindful of your boundaries. It could be that an element of stress links to what binds you to others at this time. Being aware of your stressors can help you move beyond them. Finding greater flexibility to move with things outside of your control could also help appease your anxieties.
The Sun enters the sign of Aries on March 19th signalling the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. This is always an important marker astrologically speaking. The Sun’s ingress into Aries marks the beginning of the zodiac. For you Leo, the Sun entering Aries could signify a time when you are considering a new learning journey; it could perhaps be a time when you are asked to step in as a teacher in your domain of expertise. Opportunities for mind-opening experiences might become available to you while the Sun is in Aries. With Venus transiting in Taurus in your tenth house of career aspirations, it could be time to take your skills and your knowledge to a bigger audience, or find original ways to generate more income.
On March 21st, Saturn enters Aquarius until July for a quick dip before it officially enters Aquarius on December 17th. Beginning in 2021, Saturn’s time in Aquarius for the next two years will bring new lessons around commitments. It could represent a significant time in your life where you deepen your existing bonds. In the next few months, you will get a glimpse of what this can mean for you.
The second half of the month looks to be very busy for you. Mars conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn on March 21st represents a time of renewed vitality. You might be able to accomplish quite a lot during these few days. However you should guard against overconfidence and also pace yourself. The New Moon in Aries arrives on March 24th bringing with it a fresh impulse in connection to travels and education/academia. The New Moon squaring the Lunar Nodes while Mars conjuncts Pluto indicates that efforts are still needed to achieve your objective. A powerful and energizing current runs through everyone’s lives for the few days surrounding the New Moon in Aries. Collaboration could be strained by your personal desires, and it is also likely that your patience will be running low. Mars enters Aquarius on March 30th and meets Saturn there; a stop and go energy will therefore permeate your relationships to close the month.
