This eclipse season through mid-February affects you quite profoundly, Leo. This is because the lunar eclipse of January 31st featured the Moon in your sign with the Sun opposed, while the solar eclipse of February 15th lands in your seventh sector, both indicating that partnership with important others in your life plays a noteworthy role. As you mull over issues of self and other, such as where you stop and the concerns of others begin, you are making adjustments to concepts of boundary, worldview, career, and service. Your learning curve is considerable. A spurt of powerful intuitional awareness over recent months brings you to fresh insights regarding how your most basic beliefs are shifting in unexpected ways. This inevitably leads you to new forms of action in the world, tending toward a spiritual rather than a strictly mundane nature. In one way this month is all about others, while in another it signals a huge enhancement of your own self-development.

Happy Eclipse season, Leo! The month begins just one day after the lunar eclipse in your home sign. The eclipse landed in your first house of self, health, vitality and new beginnings. This eclipse follows on the heels of the total solar eclipse in your home sign last August. Suffice it to say, these are life-changing times for those born under the sign of the Lion. Eclipses in your home sign generally indicate that your entire sense of self, health, and identity is undergoing a total transformation. Expect more significant, life-altering events and transformation this month because the effects of eclipses ripple out slowly!
Meanwhile, on February 3rd Mercury in Aquarius in your seventh house will make a sextile to Mars in Sagittarius in your fifth house. This is a good transit for warm-hearted competition, flirtatious banter, and creative companionship. Just remember that whenever Mercury and Mars get together its easy to get hot-headed and impulsive, so be sure to keep your cool while enjoying the good times.
On the same day, Venus in Aquarius in your seventh house will square Jupiter in Scorpio in your fourth house. Love, partnership, and family or home life will be emphasized at this time. You might be bringing someone new into your private life or you may be ready to cultivate a deeper level of trust and vulnerability in your relationships. This transit may also bring to light various fears, traditions, and taboos surrounding love and relationships and family life, generally.
February 7th the Last Quarter Moon in Scorpio will conjoin with Jupiter in your fourth house. This is a time for emotional healing, letting go, and transformation on the home front. Be prepared to be honest and vulnerable, and remember that there is nothing to be ashamed of if you’re being authentic with those you love.
February 10th the planet Venus moves into Pisces, where it was traditionally said to be “exalted.” It will also move into your eighth house. Venus in your eighth house brings good returns on investments, potential relief or pardoning from debt or financial loss, gain through a partner, and issues of vulnerability and honesty in romance and love.
On February 15th brings a New Moon and solar eclipse in the sign of Aquarius in your seventh house. This eclipse features new beginnings in love and relationships. If you’re not in a relationship already, don’t be surprised if you meet someone new. If you’re already in a relationship don’t be surprised if there are big changes afoot for your relationship, or in the life of your partner. And if your relationship is on the rocks, then don’t be surprised if things start moving toward a resolution, one way or another.
On February 17th Mars in Sagittarius in your fifth house will square Neptune in Pisces in your eighth house. This transit is all about facing your fears, making significant sacrifices or compromises, and going as deep as you can without losing yourself or harming those you love.
On February 17th Mercury is also cazimi (at the heart of the Sun) in the sign of Aquarius. However, shortly after this on the 17th Mercury will also enter its traditional “fall” by moving into Pisces and your eighth house. It’s very important to use your best judgment and to be as discerning as possible during this transit. What begins as a profound moment of honesty or agreement between yourself and someone else may quickly devolve into confusion or chaos. Pay attention to the details and remember to stay open to unexpected news or changes of plan.
On February 18th the Sun will enter the sign of Pisces and your eighth house, and on February 21st Venus will conjoin Neptune in Pisces in your eighth house. Both transits continue to put the spotlight on your eighth house, emphasizing your partner’s finances or shared resources, along with the need for greater depth, honesty, and vulnerability.
Following this, Mercury will conjoin with Neptune in Pisces in your eighth house and Venus in Pisces will square Mars in Sagittarius in your fifth house, both on February 25th. Communicating the truth, in love, depth, and honesty isn’t easy, but as a Leo you have the courage and heart to communicate your passion better than most signs. This month is all about your relationships, your desires, the need for pleasure and joy, and making sure you communicate honestly with everyone around you about what you’re really feeling. It’s hard for Lions to be vulnerable, but you will only grow stronger and wiser when you allow yourself to trust others to see you as exactly as you are.
