Uranus Conjunct Eris: A Revolution in Support of Soul Intention

Uranus, an important outer planet for inspiration and revolutionary evolution, and Eris, the new planet recently discovered beyond Pluto, are conjunct this first full week of June, and remain less than a degree apart for most of the rest of the year. They are exactly conjunct on Thursday, June 9th, and their combination at the 23-degree mark of Aries is also triggered by the station of Mars to direct motion, in the same degree of Scorpio, at the very end of the month.

There is therefore quite a lot of the Uranian vibration detectable at this early June moment, due to the intense time of connection between his planetary archetype of sudden change and unexpected enlightenment and the supportive but rather abrupt and forceful energy of Eris. The latter planet was named as recently as the fall of 2006, as "dwarf planet," the same astronomical category, now, as Pluto. While not everything is concretely known about her archetype, we have a good beginning for understanding what she represents. I have been able to characterize Eris as a Feminine Warrior archetype in support of soul intention, and the evidence is piling up everywhere I look. More is actually available this month, as we see her in action for surprising results, because Uranus is involved, and for the principle of asserting for what is the truth in oneself, soul purpose, rising up from deep within, because fighting for that is what she symbolizes in terms of the astrological archetype.

She tends to bring the revolutionary energy of Uranus further to the fore, as she has many times in the past. This becomes evident when examining the World Transit timings associated with this combination, including the founding of the first permanent colony in the new world, and as well during this same period the Guy Fawkes rebellion, resulting in the revolutionary mask used in the recent movie, V for Vendetta. This film was directed by the Wachowski siblings at a timing of Uranus in close semi-square with Eris, and with natally a strong Mercury- Eris connection in each of their charts. It is therefore likely that over the remainder of June, and in the summer months that follow, Uranus will come further to the fore over the course of an active time of surprising revolutionary activity, as we have already seen in the startling candidacies of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, both stumping for radical change in their own very different ways. We are likely to see as well— leading to a better understanding of this new planet's symbolism— an even greater presence of individuals speaking up for themselves, standing up and being counted for that in which they most deeply believe.
