This is another exciting and consequential month, Pisces, with all the intense outer planet alignments from recent month still featured, and with yet a trace of optimism that is more prevalent now than was available over the summer. The recent Scorpio New Moon from mid-November featured Mercury in close conjunction with the Sun and Moon, by about a quarter of a degree, thus appearing in a rare instance of a simultaneous Cazimi alignment. This appearance of Mercury in the “heart of the Sun” affected your sector of higher mind and worldview, and as well your career choices and attitudes, since the Sagittarius sign has been an important factor of the recent Mercury Retrograde. In its post-retrograde shadow as December begins, Mercury slowly recovers leading up to its full recovery by mid-December. With your ruler, Neptune, in your sign again, briefly, yet hovering on the edge of your second sector, his month also highlights your morals and resources, insisting that your standards be based upon only what you yourself have deep within you as your primary principles and values. Inner wounding could also come up for you this month, especially in the timing of the Gemini Full Moon of the 4th, and also the Sagittarius New Moon of the 19th, where Chiron is featured. Known as the Wounded Healer, Chiron generally reveals where ancient trauma has been buried away, based on childhood difficulties with parental authority or your early peers, and is waiting to be integrated as part of your personal development into wholeness. This is an important move as you focus on better internal understanding based on the placement of transformative Pluto, also activated throughout the December month, in your sector of unconscious process and inner work. All of these highlighted planetary archetypes, including Jupiter, your traditional ruler, in a productive trine with Saturn in your sign, presage that this month has the potential to be a key turning point amidst the ongoing issues of a climactic year.

Previous New Moon – from November 19th
December opens downstream of the Scorpio New Moon that took place on November 19th, which seeded this month’s developments in your ninth sector of belief, meaning, long-range vision, and deeper philosophies. This lunation was additionally elevated in your chart, implying significance as well for your career choices and stance, as the December month continues to unfold. It also formed a grand kite, which is and grand trine plus an opposition, linking the Sun–Moon– Mercury conjunction in late Scorpio to Jupiter in Cancer, Uranus in Taurus, and the Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Pisces. For you, this may have illuminated a revelatory shift in worldview or profession, with a new perspective on something that has long been gestating in the background of your awareness. With Mercury Cazimi coinciding with and conjunct this New Moon, a moment of startling clarity could have emerged around what calls you forward and what no longer thrills, which might be a lasting effect for the beginning of the current month. The ninth sector speaks to the lenses through which you interpret your experiences, and early December continues to unfurl the insights that began there, inviting to your individual and career development a deeper relationship with truth, intuition, and personal meaning.
Mercury Direct and Recovering, since November 29th
Mercury stationed direct on November 29th, marking a gradual turn from internal processing toward clearer external expression. As December begins, Mercury still moves through its retrograde shadow, and you may notice ideas or decisions continuing to settle. Conversations that slowed in late November begin to reopen, yet the tone remains contemplative. This period supports gentle recalibration rather than quick conclusions as you integrate the larger understanding, and Mercury escapes its shadow on December 16th.
Gemini Full Moon – December 4th
The Gemini Full Moon on December 4th lights up your fourth sector of home, foundations, ancestry, and inner emotional life. With the axis of the Sun and Moon forming a same-degree grand cross with the lunar nodes in Virgo and Pisces, this lunation’s symbolism runs deep for you. Full Moons often signal culmination or illumination, but this one points toward a karmic crossroads, revealing where past patterns intersect with present needs. You may feel heightened sensitivity to family dynamics or the emotional undercurrents of your living environment. The nodes add a layer of fated feeling, suggesting that what surfaces now has roots in long-standing cycles. This lunation encourages a quiet moment of witnessing: noticing which internal stories still shape your foundations and which are ready to shift.
Jupiter Trine Saturn – Ongoing Through Mid-December
Throughout the first half of December, Jupiter in Cancer continues to form a supportive trine to Saturn in Pisces. As Jupiter is your traditional planetary ruler, this aspect carries particular significance for you. Jupiter’s buoyancy meets Saturn’s structure in a way that grounds inspiration into something more tangible. You may notice a growing ability to translate intuition into practical action, or to find calm steadiness within a broader cycle of emotional or spiritual maturation. Because this trine links your fifth sector of creativity, expression, and joy with your first sector of identity and embodiment, the movement is deeply personal. It supports gradual, integrated developments that arise from within, helping you align who you are becoming with the creative or emotional pathways opening before you.
Sun, Mars, and Venus Square Saturn–Neptune Throughout the Month
As the Sun, Mars, and Venus move through the late degrees of Sagittarius, they form a sequence of squares to Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. This takes place just before these inner planets ingress into Capricorn, and it is then that these transits highlight the tension between visibility in the outer world and the highly sensitive, internal metamorphosis you are undergoing. Squares often reveal friction, and here the pressure may emerge through questions of direction, purpose, or the feeling of being stretched across multiple commitments. You may sense where your energy is shifting, or where old expectations no longer match the person you are becoming. Saturn emphasizes discernment and boundaries, while Neptune dissolves what is no longer aligned. The combination can feel both clarifying and hazy, a liminal space where deeper truths are forming beneath the surface. These squares invite presence rather than reaction, allowing a gentle attunement to the emotional and spiritual restructuring underway.
Neptune Stations Direct – December 10th
Neptune, your modern ruler, stations direct on December 10th in the last degree of your sign. This brief but potent moment heightens the Neptunian archetype, amplifying sensitivity, intuition, and symbolic perception. The fog may thicken before it lifts, offering subtler reflections on your identity and direction. Because this station occurs in your first sector of self, you may notice heightened permeability or emotional openness, making it wise to pause before responding to situations that feel unclear.
Mars Enters Capricorn – December 14th
Mars enters Capricorn on December 14th, shifting attention to your eleventh sector of community, friendship, vision, and long-term goals. This transit activates motivation around collective endeavors or future-oriented plans. Mars in Capricorn tends to move steadily and intentionally, helping you take concrete steps toward goals that have been quietly forming throughout the month. The energy is focused yet grounded, supporting collaboration or renewed momentum around shared projects.
Sagittarius New Moon – December 19th
The Sagittarius New Moon of December 19th opens a fresh chapter in your tenth sector of career, vocation, and public presence. With Saturn–Neptune square to this New Moon, the seed planted here may feel both aspirational and sobering. Venus is also conjunct this New Moon, softening its edges and inviting you to reconnect with the sense of purpose, resonance, or relational support that underlies your professional direction. You may be reimagining your role in the world or clarifying what feels meaningful in your path. This lunation carries a contemplative tone, asking you to sense into the direction you are moving rather than forcing clarity.
Sun Enters Capricorn – December 21st
The Sun enters Capricorn on December 21st, marking the Capricorn Solstice and illuminating your eleventh sector of community and goals with themes of connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. This turning of the season brings steadiness and renewed clarity around long-term plans.
Venus Enters Capricorn – December 24th
Venus enters Capricorn on December 24th, further softening and harmonizing your eleventh sector. Relationships within your community or networks may feel more supportive, grounded, or aligned. This transit encourages meaningful connection and intentional engagement with those who walk alongside you. As the year draws to a close, you may feel drawn to reconnect with the long-term aspirations that inspire you and gently orient your attention toward what you hope to cultivate next.
