Previous New Moon in Cancer – July 14th
Taking better care of yourself — and rethinking how you work, structure your days, and handle your habits — represents an ongoing theme for the first third of the current month. This recent Cancer New Moon from mid-July initiated something new in your daily routines and wellbeing, whether that's a shift at your job, added responsibilities, healthier practices, or a work environment that finally supports you. At its core, it asks what leaves you feeling genuinely useful, well, and emotionally nourished. Because Mercury retrograde came hand in hand with this lunar phase, this beginning may be building slowly and keeping you in a reflective frame — loose ends with coworkers, unsettled work matters, or half-finished projects could still be asking for your attention. Threaded through all of this, Pluto in your sign being recently highlighted, may be slowly remaking how you show up and who you're becoming, while Neptune casts a dreamy, imaginative haze over your thinking and conversations, and Uranus may continue to electrify your creativity, romance, and self-expression.
Sun Trine Saturn – August 4th - 8th
A close relationship may feel more important than usual now. As the Sun illuminates your partnerships and the people you relate to one-on-one, you might feel more drawn to connect, cooperate, or deepen a bond. Your ruling planet, Saturn, supports this through a trine, rewarding the honest, steady communication you've been developing. You might even team up with a neighbor or commit to your local community in a lasting, responsible way. A well-timed conversation could strengthen a partnership for the long haul!
Venus Enters Libra – August 6th
Venus could make reaching beyond the familiar quite attractive now! You could crave an exciting trip, discovering new inner beliefs, deepening your education, or connecting with someone from a different world — all in pursuit of something more expansive than your everyday. But while she opposes Neptune, that longing can turn quite dreamy. You might idealize a subject, teacher, belief or a destination while the practical logistics are easy to ignore. Plus, trines to Uranus and Pluto quicken a deeper shift. Pluto is in your own sign so your identity evolution is tied to this Venusian experience while Uranus points to how your relationship with joy or personal expression is also changing and supporting these new curiosities.
Mercury Enters Leo – August 9th
This could be a rewarding time to grow within a partnership, form a new relationship, or have meaningful one-on-one conversations as Mercury joins Jupiter in your seventh sector of relationship with others. Productive discussions may help resolve differences, while new collaborations are also possible. At the start of Mercury in Leo, a shift in your identity or the way you see yourself may create tension within a relationship, highlighting emotional insecurities tied to your home, family, or sense of stability.
Mars Enters Cancer – August 11th
Rushing through your daily routines and tasks could leave you feeling more stressed or physically run down as Mars travels through your sixth sector of work, health, and habits. While it may be tempting to push through these labors, it’s probably best to listen to your body's signals. Avoiding unnecessary haste could also help prevent frustration! During Mars' first few days in Cancer, you may be focused on expanding your horizons, even as mental distractions make it harder to concentrate. Spending time where you feel safe and supported may bring welcome peace of mind.
Solar Eclipse in Leo – August 12th
A significant relationship could become the catalyst for an entirely new chapter under the Solar Eclipse New Moon in Leo. Occurring in your seventh sector alongside the South Node, this eclipse could encourage you to leave behind relationship dynamics, commitments, or expectations that no longer reflect the direction your life is taking. The grand cross at the center of this eclipse emphasizes the competing developments between your personal identity, relationships, career, and emotional needs. Mercury and Pluto in opposition could coincide with pivotal discussions, negotiations, or realizations that redefine the way you relate to others while simultaneously transforming your sense of self. Chiron, the Wounded Healer, could stir unresolved feelings connected to your home life, family, or emotional foundation, while Haumea supports the birth of a more authentic public identity and professional path. With all four angular sectors activated, events unfolding within one part of your life are likely to influence the others, making this a period of significant personal evolution and reorganization. Mars, ruler of your tenth or career sector, forms supportive aspects to Chiron, Haumea, and the North Node, suggesting that developments involving your work, health, or daily responsibilities could become the catalyst for greater confidence, personal growth, and a stronger sense of identity. At the same time, Venus forms harmonious aspects to both Uranus and Pluto. As ruler of your fourth sector, this highlighted Venus suggests that your inner and private world could undergo profound healing and unexpected breakthrough, helping you feel more emotionally secure as this next chapter starts to unfold.
Mercury Conjunct Jupiter – August 14th - 15th
Your relationships may become a powerful source of growth as Mercury joins Jupiter in your seventh sector of partnership, commitment, and collaboration. This uplifting alignment inspires stimulating conversations, the free exchange of ideas, and a greater appreciation for the people who support you. Whether reconnecting with your partner, collaborating with someone new, or meeting a wise mentor or advisor, the people you encounter now may encourage you to think bigger and see new possibilities.
Sun Enters Virgo – August 22nd
Virgo season illuminates the emotional bonds you build with others, shared finances, and psychological rebirth. You could feel more inclined to simplify monetary entanglements or figure out ways to better understand your psychological shadows. Yet, Venus opposes Saturn during the first few days of this new season, likely making it harder to travel or broaden your horizons as paperwork, errands, or even siblings could demand your attention. During the second week of Virgo season, unforeseen developments involving your self-expression, children, or romances could disrupt shared financial plans. Although, a creative breakthrough is possible!
Mercury Enters Virgo – August 25th
Mercury enters Virgo, likely helping you make better sense of situations that once felt complicated or difficult to untangle. Whether you're navigating shared finances, taxes, debts, contracts, or emotionally complex matters, careful analysis and thoughtful conversations may help bring greater understanding. This is an excellent time to ask questions, research your options, and uncover information that supports wiser decisions or greater self-awareness.
Lunar Eclipse in Pisces – August 27th
Your relationship with internal principles, self-worth, material security, and what you truly value could enter an important new chapter under this Pisces Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon. Taking place in your second sector, this eclipse could coincide with significant beginnings and endings involving your values, personal resources, finances, or confidence in your own abilities. While one source of stability may be changing, the North Node there encourages you to pursue opportunities that better reflect your gifts, values, and long-term growth. Just before the eclipse, a Mercury Cazimi in Virgo may have offered a clearer understanding of your emotional and financial entanglements, and how you handle crisis, rebirth or even grief. Because the Sun rules your seventh sector of partnerships, it could be that conversations, agreements, or developments involving another key person could reshape the way you think about commitment, reciprocity, or the resources — both tangible and emotional — that you're willing to share. Uranus then squares both the Sun and Mercury from your fifth sector, suggesting that unexpected developments involving romance, children, creative pursuits, or the search for greater happiness could reshape both your financial priorities and the dynamics within your closest relationships. A Yod to the Sun, from Pluto and Neptune, contributes another layer to this eclipse story. As your understanding of trust and vulnerability may continue to deepen, changing patterns of communication and an evolving relationship with your work, health, or daily responsibilities could make it difficult to approach resources, relationships, or self-worth in quite the same way as before.
