This is yet another doozy of a month, Virgo, with outer planets configurations still percolating, and with the additional wild card of the retrograde of Mercury, your ruler, through the home and family sector of your solar chart. The recent late Libra New Moon from the last ten days of October set the stage, and featured Pluto and Uranus in trine which can lead to evolutionary development in several different areas of your life. Your vocational choices in particular are coming alive in novel ways that defy established rules in favor of striking out for something markedly out of line with the past, provided that you have the courage of your internal convictions. Old habits might be ready to make a shift into something quite different from what your previous conceptions would have prepared for. Discernment will be vital for you now as you decide on which beautiful and sudden impulses to drop, and in which to invest your enthusiasm and your energy. Inner wounding may raise its gnarly and difficult head – which yet could lead to unexpected vistas of healing. The Taurus Full Moon of the 5th provides relationship excitement and idealism with also a dash of the practical to keep you grounded. On the 9th, Mercury stations to reverse motion in your root sector, which might throw some unexpected monkey wrenches into your dwelling upkeep or its family dynamics, while the Last Quarter Moon of the 11th signals energy in need of a coalescing direction. The late Scorpio New Moon of the 19th is another potent juncture, one peak of the retrograde period. This New Moon encourages deep introspection about future direction with the caution of not putting all your eggs in one basket, instead staying as open as you can to possibility.

You could be more aware than usual of what you share with others symbolically or literally thanks to the Libra New Moon that took place in October which could have brought you fresh incentive to get clear about your preference for harmonious and fair exchanges. The sign of Libra emphasized also your resources and values, which are also bolstered by the presence of Venus in the second or Libra sector of your chart. You are also looking to make inroads in the articulation of you deepest and most sincere principles and values and as well your learning curve toward new concepts, with Mercury, your ruler, in Scorpio and in conjunction with Mars in the recent New Moon. Pluto and Uranus are also emphasized this month along with the transformational energies represented by their ongoing trine alignment, affecting pioneering new ways of attending to your career choices. With this ongoing lunar cycle emphasizing what you have to work with in terms of resources and more extensively, your values, this could make you more aware as well of any unbalanced dynamics going on in your partnerships. You may generally work well with others, and yet also appreciate having enough space to do your own thing, and this is what could have been more difficult recently. Conversations might have been feeling strained so that expressing your frustrations could continue to be a work in progress in the month ahead.
On the 1st, Mercury, your ruler, at 3 degrees of Sagittarius, is still opposed to Uranus at the beginning of your tenth solar sector, implying that vocational ideas are still coming at fast and furious as November gets underway. Discernment must be applied in order to sort out which of these will be valid and productive for the future and not just a “flash in the pan.” Also in the month’s beginning days, Mars in Scorpio begins to form a trine with Neptune in Pisces and also lies in precise trine to the Neptune/Saturn midpoint, while remaining in fading trine to Saturn and Jupiter in Pisces and Cancer. There could be confusion within your key relationships, so that for example the intentions of someone may seem obscured or confusing or dialogues may feel like you can’t really get your point across, or the depth of what you are trying to say does not match your interlocutor.
Mars enters Sagittarius and opposes Uranus in Gemini on the 4th which could bring more dynamism for domestic and professional matters, although might also be a little dangerous, leading to unanticipated events or realizations that could cause problems if you wind up moving too fast.
The Taurus Full Moon culminates on November 5th and shines a spotlight on the things that bring you comfort or the lack thereof. You may have a ‘’Material Girl,’’ or boy, hiding somewhere ready to come out, and this Full Moon could emphasize a philosophy of leisure or just your fundamental need to balance work with play. Greek philosopher Aristotle wrote extensively on the importance of leisure and argued that when it comes to living well, the quality of our leisure matters more than our work. You could disagree, and yet also be feeling a version of that right now especially if you’ve been putting pressure on yourself to be more productive. Pleasure, beauty, and connection are more often than not the fuel that keeps us going and this Full Moon may allow you to take stock of where and with whom you can have the richest experience.
On November 6th, Venus enters Scorpio and forms a square with Pluto in Aquarius on the 6th and 7th which is your cue to assess your skills and the methods you employ to broadcast your talent into the world. It may be time to reevaluate the techniques and medium you employ and
Mercury moving retrograde starting on the 9th, and lasting to the 29th, and into next month as far as the post-retrograde shadow, could help you find more efficient ways of applying your skills. This Mercury Retrograde may have something to do with creating more space at home or reorganizing your priorities or finding the right community of people that can amplify your hidden skills.
Jupiter turns retrograde a few days later on the 11th, emphasizing its potency. New opportunities may be knocking at your door. You could perhaps also feel that your dreams and schemes or your life your direction could be shifting to make room for unexpected growth. You might need to step back and allow your process to have its way with you. Also, with Mercury newly in retrograde motion, things may not be progressing as fast as you anticipated.
The Sun in Scorpio receives support from both Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Pisces on the 16th and 17th creating a progressive influence for conversations, research, and investigations. It may be easier to get your point across and speak your truth at this point and this could be useful in negotiations or if you need to present your ideas to a group of people.
Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio on the 18th. leading to
The New Moon lands in Scorpio late evening of the 19th, or very early morning the next day depending on time zone. This may bring an important reset in the communication sector of your chart. Your vision of the world and what is possible could be changing and with that, comes a whole different way of relating with others. Mercury in Scorpio reaches the halfway point of its retrograde cycle on the New Moon which means more clarity available but with Uranus in Taurus opposing the New Moon, you may have to trust your intuition more than your reason at this time to access these intuitive insights. It might be one of those instances where you have to break free of a longstanding worldview in order to shift your perspective and access a different framework or change the way you have been looking at things entirely.
The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st gradually illuminating your domestic and family life in the month ahead. You might feel a sense of inner restlessness especially if things have been stagnating more recently but there may also be more opportunities now to get moving and change dynamics at home.
The way you communicate and share your ideas may continue to be emphasized until the end of November as Venus conjunct Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio on the 24th and trine Jupiter and Saturn on the 26th. Personal or sensitive matters may need to be expressed in order to understand them better or it could simply be that an honest conversation needs to happen to clear the air at this time.
By the end of the month, Saturn in Pisces turns direct on the 27th while Mercury turns direct in Scorpio on the 29th. Although the last few days of November may initially feel chaotic, the insights and revelations emerging around this time could clear the way for progressive changes to be implemented in the upcoming weeks.
