Leo Horoscope for September 2024

Posted on August 28, 2024 by Henry Seltzer of ASTROGRAPH.COM

This is an interesting month for you, Leo, contrasting issues of self and other. On the one hand, you are coming off of the Leo cycle from last month kicked off by the New Moon in your sign, and on the other, there has been the potent presence of Pluto in Aquarius, your opposite sign, signaling the power -- as well as the ongoing transformation – of the key relationships in your life and their dynamic moving forward. The Virgo New Moon of September 2nd in your sector of resources and values indicates a fresh start in this important area and, as well, a steadying of the ship of your finances as Mercury recovers, re-entering Virgo on the 8th and completing its post-retrograde shadow period on the 11th. The First Quarter Moon of the10th, while acknowledging potential conflicts in this process, brings a lovely optimism to it. Then, the Pisces Full Moon eclipse of the 17th represents another significant juncture and indicator of the health of your relational story with important others; this applies as well to the partnership agreements that you can really commit to in the mix of everything that is going on within you and in terms of your outer world potential, also shifting.

You begin the September month in the wake of the Mercury Retrograde period of time from the entire previous month, largely taking place through your sign. There have likely been moments of introspection along with review, reflection, and readjustment perhaps even of questioning your very identity and your path ahead. The transformational effects of Pluto in your opposite sign have been rather intense and referencing your partnership scenario, continuing into the present month. Mercury gradually escapes its post-retrograde shadow during the first ten days of September.

The New Moon in Virgo on September 2nd signals the beginning of a new lunation cycle that relates to your resources, what you have to work with, and more extensively your need to advocate for yourself and for what you truly want. This month is a thoughtful time for you, with the transformation of your relational dynamic still very much in the cards, although with a twist to the energy with Pluto now briefly in the final degree of Capricorn. New opportunities are swirling around thanks to Jupiter in Gemini which brings flow for connecting, networking and finding communities that can support your future vision although the Sun opposite Saturn in Pisces implies that your autonomy is not straightforward and obligations or bindings towards others could also weigh on you heavily.

Mars’ entry into the sign of Cancer on the 4th means that this September month represents as well an extended period of contemplation particularly for familial and generational dynamics and for blocking or negative emotions surrounding care-taking and ultimately feeling supported. Your interior process is activated and inner wounding could raise its head with quite a good chance of that leading to healing of ancient issues. This is something that will most likely occur naturally or below the level of your conscious awareness.

Mercury returns to Virgo on the 9th where it was in late July/early August that may bring up an ongoing process related to your financial autonomy and your resources.

On the 11th and the 12th, The Sun in Virgo forming a square with Jupiter could bring exciting developments or social opportunities which could be a good thing unless for some reason overdone.

The Pisces Full Moon lands on the 17th and is a partial lunar eclipse; this Full Moon shines a light on your intimate and business partnerships and the agreements you have with others. Issues with self and other could arise; there could also be difficulties related to your career and professional life, perhaps including those stemming from ancient traces of inner wounding. There could be some confusion or illusion regarding what partnership agreements amount to, thanks to the Moon in close conjunction with Neptune and Mercury also forming an opposition with Saturn in this Full Moon configuration, which could make things seem worse off than they really are. It helps when you can give yourself time to think things through if needed. This is the first of several eclipses that take place on the Virgo/Pisces axis until August 2026.
Mercury in Virgo makes a series of helpful aspects with the outer planets during the last week of September before it enters Libra on the 26th; these planetary encounters of Mercury might help you come up with the perfect plan and a lot more negotiating power to get what you want.

On the 30th, Mercury conjuncts the Virgo Sun This might provide greater clarity in your thought process regarding everything that has been happening over the course of a volatile September month.
