Gemini Horoscope for February 2021

This is an interesting month of transformation for you Gemini, as you explore changes that might not be very obvious in some ways, being buried within your psyche. Your educational prospects of a subtle kind, along with your beliefs, are radically changing and you are preoccupied with this largely invisible transition. No final conclusions can be drawn. With your ruler Mercury in retrograde through your higher mind sector all this month and into March – when you count the retrograde shadow – you will instead be continually mulling over your possibilities. Nevertheless there is progress, with unconscious and intuitional forces within you urging you on. The Aquarius New Moon of February 11th provides another peak moment in your journey toward a better integration of all your parts. Your cosmic assignment, should you choose to accept it, would be to abandon surface concerns, staying as open as you can to profundity, and to let go of anything that attempts to hold you back from this deep dive into the very meaning of your earthly existence.

Venus enters Aquarius on the 1st of February, joining forces with Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and the Sun already transiting there. The huge emphasis on the sign of Aquarius throughout the month of February cannot be overstated. Lucky for you Gemini, this pile-up of planets in Aquarius is taking place in a fellow Air sign which means it is bringing a supportive influence especially in the realm of academia, learning and expanding your skills. Since the end of December, you may have been presented with new opportunities to further develop or solidify existing structures in your life. This growth spurt is opening your mind towards foreign territories and making you see an entire new realm of possibilities. Venus conjoins Saturn in Aquarius on the 5th to the 7th, in sextile to Chiron in Aries, which further emphasizes your role as a mentor or a student. Your competences may be making you the perfect candidate for a job. You may be feeling a strong sense of duty towards the realization of a dream you’ve held in your mind for quite some time. Even though you’ve found support, you also know that you are the one holding the reins of your ambitious ideas and dealing with all the logistical issues that occur behind the scenes.

Mercury has been retrograde since January 30th, and meets the Sun in Aquarius for its inferior conjunction on the 8th. The conjunction with the Sun represents the halfway point in Mercury’s retrograde cycle, and usually comes with some kind of breakthrough or clarification. You might still have to contend with delays and frustrations to get a job done, but you may start to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

The New Moon in Aquarius takes place on the 11th for a total of six planets transiting in this Fixed Air sign, corresponding to the visionary higher mind sector of your chart, and represents the beginning of a new cycle of growth for you. There may be big potential brewing for you this year and in this New Moon. Saturn and Uranus, both associated with Aquarius, are squaring each other at the time of the New Moon, indicating that some of the limitations you are currently experiencing could be self-imposed. You may want to tackle your stress and anxieties head on this year and find ways to relax and ground yourself. This first square between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus culminates on the 17th of February potentially bringing some anxiety to the surface. This square will occur again from mid-May to July 4th, and from December 2021 to January 9, 2022, coloring this whole year with tangible progress in your life, as well as confronting issues between conscious and unconscious process, or perhaps indicating a need to deal with self-defeating patterns that slow you down. You may be getting busier while also needing more downtime to recuperate.

The Sun enters Pisces on February 18th signaling the last thirty days of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The Sun transiting in Pisces until the 20th of March illuminates your vocational sector and continues to put a lot of work on your plate. Venus in Aquarius squares Mars in Taurus on the 19th which could bring up issues you’ve swept under the carpet. This may be a busy time of the year for you, and Mars in Taurus until the first week of March could also make you aware of how much you need to unwind since your usual coping mechanism may not be enough.

You can expect a breakthrough around the 20th when your ruling planet Mercury stations direct in Aquarius while the Moon is in Gemini. Mercury continues to recover lost ground until after the end of the month. However things ease off with Mercury direct, and you may be in a better position to assess your work load and divide your attention properly so that you can get everything done. Mars in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn on the 24th, and you can get put in touch with your resilience. You may realize you have more stores of energy than you thought. The deeper part of yourself that is driving your ambition may become obvious, which in turn could help you go after what you want more directly.

Venus enters Pisces on the 25th gracing your vocational sector for the next month which brings an additional creative influence.

The month of February comes to a close with a Full Moon in Virgo which highlights your home life and your family. If you feel like you’ve been chasing your tail since the beginning of 2021, it may be a good idea to spend some time unwinding at home around the end of February. The Full Moon in Virgo may also highlight your perfectionist or nit-picking tendencies. While it's important to have high standards, it's also important to remember that perfection doesn’t really exist.
