Virgo Horoscope for September 2026

Posted on August 31, 2026 by Henry Seltzer of ASTROGRAPH.COM

This is another transformative month for you, Virgo, after the rather wild summer that we have all experienced with its extreme outer planet energies. In September, once again, Trickster Uranus in your vocational sector is activated in a big way with reference to the Sun, now present in your sign, and also Mercury, your planetary ruler. The previous month with its two eclipses and the New Moon Sun in Leo has already brought you a large dose of the surprise events and unexpected realizations of Uranus, which, though perhaps not so good for continuity or stability, could – even so – be seen to be constructive if looked at in the right way. There is a necessary novelty to what can occur under the influence of your Higher Self, which can often come through to you as a deeper sort of intuitional information that leads you beyond pre-existent limitations. This recent Leo lunation cycle completes after the first ten days of the current month. When the New Moon of September 10th kicks off in your sign, the following cycle of improved understanding could prove to be dramatically life enhancing. There is again the potent presence of Uranus to deal with, so that you are entering yet another developmental phase connected with novel realizations. The Sun and Moon at 18° of Virgo are in precise bi-septile to Uranus within a tenth of a degree. Uranus combines with Saturn, plus Neptune, and Pluto, as in previous months, and is also aspected by Mars, Jupiter, your ruler Mercury, Venus, and new Nature planets Makemake and Haumea. Because Uranus is located in your career sector, there could be more instances of sudden swerves in the curve for you. These could serve you in revealing new pathways forward in your vocational strivings; or perhaps in providing for what you are habitually up to, new implications of higher purpose.

Mars Sextile Mercury and Aspecting Jupiter + Saturn – Sept 1st
Mars in your eleventh sector of friendship, collaboration, and aspirations is sextile Mercury in your first sector of self, potentially helping you take decisive action around your dreams and the communities that matter to you. You could find success speaking directly within a group or in taking the lead on something that involves others. Mars also aspects Jupiter and Saturn, which could feel joyful and yet challenge you to delve into your fears, compulsions, and self-limiting beliefs.

Venus Opposite Chiron – September 7th - 12th
Your local world may feel especially pleasant under Venus in your third sector of communication and everyday interactions, supporting enjoyable conversations, short trips, or a stronger appreciation for your surroundings. And yet Chiron in your ninth sector of knowledge and expansion may expose insecurities around what you know or believe. You could feel caught between trusting your own perspective and worrying that you don't know enough, especially when encountering ideas that challenge your worldview.

The New Moon in Virgo – September 10th
The New Moon in your sign therefore lands in your first sector of self, potentially inviting you to reconsider how you see yourself and what you want from your life. You may feel ready to show up differently or prioritize yourself in a new way. With Mercury, your ruler, in your second sector of resources, self-worth, and values, you may find yourself reconsidering what gives you confidence and what you need to feel grounded in your own choices. The Sun and Moon’s sextile to Mars in your social sector could give you the push to put yourself out there and take a chance on something you’ve been wanting to pursue. You may find that taking action with friends or groups that you favor, rather than trying to figure everything out on your own, gives this new direction more momentum. Mercury’s powerful opposition to Neptune in your eighth sector of intimacy and depth exploration could complicate this process, particularly if emotional or financial entanglements, grief, or crisis make it difficult to know where your own priorities end and someone else’s begin. Mercury’s semi-sextile to Venus could additionally create friction between what you’re feeling and what you think you need. Mercury’s trine to Uranus and Pluto could seem like a revolution in values in the making. Personal considerations interact with your career sector novelty and sloughing off old habit patterns, perhaps bringing surprising developments or deeper realizations that challenge what you expect from your vocational endeavors.

Mercury Opposite Neptune + Trine Pluto – September 11th - 13th
Financial decisions could become clouded by the emotional ties you have to other people as Mercury, in your second sector of value, money, and self-worth, opposes Neptune in your eighth sector of shared resources and emotional ties. You could question whether you're making choices based on what genuinely matters to you or what someone else provides for you. The trine from Mercury to Pluto in your sixth sector of work and physical wellbeing could help you uncover how these entanglements are affecting your everyday life.

Mercury Trine Uranus – September 12th - 14th
A shift in your career or long-term direction could change the way you think about what you value and want for yourself as Mercury trines Uranus. You may begin to see your priorities differently, especially around what gives you a sense of security or what you consider worth having. Uranus can destabilize familiar structures, yet it may also encourage you to develop a more independent sense of what is worth pursuing.

Mercury Opposite Saturn – September 16th - 18th
Financial or personal decisions could feel heavier as Mercury opposes Saturn, particularly when intimacy or shared resources introduce restrictions. You might become more cautious about what you give, receive, or depend on from others, while concerns about security could make an ordinary decision feel more consequential. Taking your time could help you think through what is truly worth committing to rather than reacting to pressure.

Mercury Sextile Jupiter – September 19th - September 22nd
Mercury sextiling Jupiter could bring a welcome sense of relief around your resources and personal priorities. You might find that time alone, stepping away from external demands, or working on something privately gives you more room to breathe and makes you feel more secure in yourself. Because Mercury is your ruling planet, this could be an especially easeful time.

Libra Equinox – September 22nd
You may take greater pride in what you have and what you’re capable of providing as the Libra Sun moves through your second sector of value, possessions, and self-worth. You might enjoy spending on beautiful things or treating yourself to something you've had your eye on, while also thinking about whether your purchases actually reflect what you value.

Sun Opposite Neptune + Trine Pluto – September 23rd - 27th
Your values, self-worth or even your earning capacity could become harder to define as the Sun opposes Neptune, particularly if your financial or emotional entanglements with others are becoming murky. You might even idealize what you have available to you or underestimate what you’re giving to someone else! Plus, Pluto could possibly escalate pressures around work or wellbeing, forcing deeper changes in how you manage your daily life.

Full Moon in Aries – September 26th
This Full Moon in Aries – corresponding to your sector of intimacy and personal evolution – could indicate that something is coming to a head around close partnerships, shared finances, or matters involving your own vulnerability or major transitions. Issues of self and other may predominate. With Neptune closely conjunct the Moon, you could feel emotionally overwhelmed by questions of trust, what you owe or are owed, making it difficult to tell whether you’re responding to reality or to your hidden assumptions. With Neptune as well, there is the possibility of a mystical side to what is being imparted. Saturn is also highlighted in this same sector, signaling that limits, responsibilities, or hard realities surround the relationship situation you are (perhaps mutually) exploring. The Moon’s ruler is Mars, located in your eleventh sector of social networking and long-term goals, and this factor too will be part of the puzzle of your existence that you are perhaps in the midst of at least partially solving. With Chiron, now at the tail end of this same eighth sector, squaring Mars, there could be frustrations with deeper issues around shared finances or psychological baggage that could make it harder to pursue your goals freely. You may have to confront something uncomfortable about what you share with others before you can move forward with the future you’re trying to build for yourself. At the same time, the Sun is in trine to both Uranus and Pluto, thus connecting this Full Moon patterning with work, day-to-day environment, and your career. These are quite practical matters, and yet as you pursue them you may find that otherworldly factors come into play along with the ordinary 3D reality that you must also navigate.

Mars Enters Leo – September 27th
As Mars moves into Leo, you may find that worries, racing thoughts, or unresolved frustrations become harder to ignore, particularly when you’re alone or away from your usual distractions. At the same time, motivation to reflect, process emotions, or work quietly on something meaningful could increase. Rest and solitude may require more intention now, especially if overstimulation begins catching up with you. Making space to slow down and recharge may be vital and help to prevent unnecessary burnout.

Mercury Enters Scorpio – September 30th
Mercury, your ruler, moves into Scorpio, your third sector of communication and learning, and this could bring curiosity and your articulations, along with your immediate environment, to the forefront. Your mind is likely to be especially sharp and perceptive, making this a great time to research, write, study, or dig into subjects that spark your interest! Conversations might carry more emotional weight than usual, while errands, local outings, and everyday interactions keep you busy. You could become almost obsessive about understanding a subject that fascinates you!
