October turns out to be another transformative month for you, Capricorn, that once again highlights Pluto in your sign. You have other potent factors this month that greatly light up your career sector. It would be a terrific time for progress were it not for the simultaneous winding down of the Mercury Retrograde from last month. You might want to go slow for the first half of October. In recent weeks, you have been reconsidering many aspects of your career choices and even your beliefs, culminating on October 2nd with Mercury’s station. Mercury takes up to two weeks to fully straighten out, so that after the 17th it will make more sense to take the initiative and move forward with plans that have been gestating. At these significant junctures you are also challenged to fully accept the concept of change as a more or less constant factor for you these days. Life itself is change; unwanted elements from the past need to be discarded so that one is able to move ahead. As you do, another given of your current situation implies that you will be honoring information arriving directly from interior of your psyche.

The New Moon in Libra from September 25th kicked off a thirty-day lunation cycle for things related to your vocation and your public life, influencing the first three weeks of October. As the month begins, there is the possibility of gaining traction for things that may have felt overly complicated over the past few weeks of Mercury Retrograde. The more organized you are, the more successful you could be in the coming weeks. Mars in Gemini in the preceding New Moon emphasized your schedule and symbolizes your being able to address outstanding issues. Venus is also highlighted in this New Moon, indicating that there are ways for you to smooth out difficult relationships with superiors. Prominent Venus in your chart, entering Libra by the beginning of October, may grant you the social charm needed to get ahead in the world. Career advancements could be in the cards for you, and with this progress could also come great responsibilities. In any case, it is a good time to take stock of your life's direction, especially as in relationship to your goals.
Mercury stations direct in Virgo on the 2nd, which may bring focus on expansion and all the steps that are needed for you to get ahead at this time. Mercury is still somewhat broken at this important juncture, and slowly regains its normal strength over the two weeks of the retrograde shadow that follows. There may have been an important revision that took place in September for things related to your ambitions and you could have had to contend with new unforeseen details that were changing the way you approach your responsibilities. If so, this should start to ease over the first half of October.
The second weekend of October has Pluto stationing direct in your sign. Your ongoing transformation is thus rendered even more acute.
The Full Moon culminates in Aries on October 9th. This Full Moon could illuminate a polarity between your need for autonomy versus your desire for support, recognition and social connection. You may feel like retreating into your personal space for a few days in order to take stock, especially with Pluto stationing direct in Capricorn at this same time. This symbolizes the further stimulation of an era of transformation for you, and for all Capricorns. The next few months might represent significant integration as you come to realize just how much you have changed since Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008.
Mercury re-enters Libra on the 10th, coming into an opposition with Jupiter in Aries for a third time since the beginning of September. This aspect could bring a renewed sense of faith in yourself and your ability to move forward. Your financial objectives could be highlighted as the month of October progresses. New details coming in may help you plan around your long-term goals.
The week of October 17th could bring power struggles to the surface as the Sun in Libra forms a square to the Moon in Cancer in the Moon’s Last Quarter, and they both are in square or opposition with Pluto in Capricorn. If you are the one in charge of dealing with the details of a career situation you might be amazed at how much the project is changing. You also might find that you meet resistance in trying to push your agenda too hard on others. Collaborations are highlighted although it may be a time to wear velvet gloves when dealing with others if you want to get things to go smoothly.
Venus meets the Sun in Libra on the 22nd and both planets ingress into the sign of Scorpio on the 23rd inaugurating the beginning of a new stage in your prospective plans.
The fall eclipse season officially arrives on the 25th with a partial solar eclipse in Scorpio. This New Moon takes place in the part of your chart that relates to your future vision and your place in the world. There could be important changes in the air and you might be leaving an old role or a goal behind in order to follow a path that is more aligned with who you are currently becoming. This transition could be an ongoing process and although things are shifting for you at this time, you may have to finish some things before you can fully move towards what you want.
Mars stations retrograde at the end of October in the sign of Gemini which can prompt you to address long standing logistical issues in the coming months. You might need to move backward in order to move ahead although the exercise could provide you with the closure you need.
