This is another important month, Leo, perhaps a turning point in terms of your work in the world and its intentionality. The eclipse New Moon of April 30th, takes place in your sector public statement in your solar chart, presaging a tremendous focus on career and profession as the month continues to unwind, and potentially for many weeks thereafter. Your worldview itself is in flux. Mercury retrogrades on May 10th, and you will enter into an introspective time, when you will be asking yourself questions about future plans and possibilities, and as well the deeper meaning of your friendships and social connections. A shift in emphasis by the fourth weekend of the month has you reviewing and reassessing career decisions along with their societal impact, with Mercury lasting in this internalized flavor until mid-June. Meanwhile, in the current month, the May 15th Lunar Eclipse of the third weekend is big juju for you as well, bringing issues of relationship regarding commitment versus isolation more thoroughly into the picture of what you are getting into. You are also extremely focused on the evolutionary progress that you are making all though this remarkable month.

The month of May essentially begins with the April 30th Solar Eclipse in Taurus, which took place in the vocational sector of your chart, and therefore brings new storylines into play for this area in the coming weeks. Your goals and aspirations are also highlighted this month, and the people who can help you accomplish your goals might turn out to be an essential component of your success at this time. With Uranus conjunct the New Moon, surprising events and unexpected realizations keep coming and these will also constitute a significant component as the month continues to unfold.
Venus enters Aries on the 2nd, corresponding to your sector of learning and travel, where she should bring a broader perspective and long-range vision the rest of this month.
You could be busy with the logistical components of an idea, and you may be relying heavily on the support of someone to make this happen. Intimate or business partnerships may be playing an important role, especially until the month’s second week.
On the 8th the First Quarter Moon lands in your sign. Until then, you may be compelled to focus your energies on helping someone else because of the advantage that you gain from the collaboration. However, the First Quarter Moon in Leo may bring a vital crossroad as to what you are willing to sacrifice for someone else's progress. This juncture could serve as a wake-up call that helps you return to your personal goals.
Mercury stations retrograde in Gemini on May 10th, and this is an important marker that could allow you to reevaluate your aspirations and social investments over the next three to five weeks. Jupiter enters Aries on the same day, shifting the focus from intimate partnerships and into the vision sector of your chart where Venus is already transiting. Jupiter will be in Aries until late October, which should feel energizing for Leos. Jupiter in a fellow Fire sign should boost your confidence, and you may be more willing to take risks in the coming months. Learning and traveling could come up, so keep an open mind as to what is possible.
The Scorpio Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse takes place on May 15th, bringing considerable tension thanks to a T-square to Saturn in your opposite sign of Aquarius. You may feel more aware of compromises you've been making that could be stalling your progress. This may be your opportunity to take stock of where you are and where you would like to be. The tension felt at this time could be used as a pivot to move forward. However, you may have to first wrestle with the shadowy parts of yourself that threaten to derail your success. Old and stubborn emotional patterns around feelings of safety could surface to be exorcized, and it is a good time to do so.
Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces on the 18th highlights real or imagined fears, making this period a delicate time to navigate if you are more sensitive. Things outside of your control could feel heavy or overwhelming, but the opportunity to transcend some of your fears is also available.
On the 20th, the Sun enters Gemini where it will gradually bring light to your hopes and aspirations in the coming weeks. Mercury Retrograde in Gemini joins the Sun on May 21st, making this period extremely enlightening if you are looking for cues as to how to proceed. Answers could come from unexpected places, and it's an excellent time to prioritize your connections and your social life. Mars entering Aries on the 24th is another energizing factor in the second half of the month that should help you gain traction.
If the first half of May feels like many compromises are needed with others, the last ten days of the month are all about your goals, dreams, and career plans. Venus enters Taurus on the 28th, which positively influences career-related things for you. Mars and Jupiter conjunct in Aries on the 29th energize the part of your chart related to learning, traveling, and worldview. You could start to feel new opportunities coming in as the month comes to a close.
The New Moon in Gemini on the 30th offers a beautiful reset in the part of your chart that relates to your hopes and to the ways that you contribute to society at large. It's an excellent time to focus on your dreams and aspirations and maybe even wish upon a star.
