This is another big month for you, Aries, especially where your principles and values are concerned, with two eclipses and relationship events on your mind and in your heart. The New Moon eclipse just before the month began, on April 30th, reminded you that it’s what you do with what you’ve got that counts, on both the outside and the inside of your psyche, giving them, perhaps unexpectedly, equal weight. Your investigations into what is going on within you through dream images can be very full for you right now, and this contributes to your ongoing understanding of yourself received through the mirror of important relationships. When Mercury retrogrades on May 10th, these revelations take on an even more introspective character; it is a good time for meditation on the human condition, especially your own. The Full Moon eclipse of May 15th and the subsequent entrance of Mars into your sign brings it all back home, including issues of self and other and mystical revelations concerning progress, partners, and any traces of the internal wounding that might hold you back from the fullest perfection of your vision and its concrete manifestation.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
The Solar Eclipse in Taurus from the very end of April represented a potent New Moon lunation coloring the entire May month, and which provided a powerful reset that could help you sort things out. What you want and feel pressured to do may be at polar opposites right now, so that this New Moon energy coming in could be just what the doctor ordered. With four planets still in Pisces at this New Moon configuration, representing your sector of inner process, energy for outer world events might be somewhat lacking, and you will undoubtedly be nudged toward paying more attention to what is going on inside. Uranus in your second solar sector implies continued fluctuations in finances and in your values. Anything is possible right now, and you may be able to gain something by taking a chance on thinking outside of the box, especially when it comes to your resources or what you attribute worth to, including yourself. You might need to raise your prices or assess your skills and what you have to offer to ensure that you are not undervaluing your services, a process that continues throughout the month.
When Venus enters your sign on May 2nd, it is good news for you. Venus relates to beauty, money, relationship, love, and value, and this will be a big theme for you this month. You may feel the urge to align more authentically with your desires, presenting you with new opportunities. After an extended period of reflection, you could feel ready to adopt a more abundant mindset, and it may be a great time to do so. You may be craving a certain level of comfort, but things could also feel somewhat uncertain, especially as the Sun conjuncts Uranus on the 5th.
A necessary changing of the guard takes place on May 10th when Mercury stations retrograde in Gemini, allowing you to revise your mode of thought and operations in the following weeks. Mercury retrograding, and then recovering, until the middle of June could allow you to make meaningful connections between what you say and what you want. You may have felt passive more recently instead of going after what you wish to do directly, but this could change. Jupiter also enters Aries on May 10th, which could help boost your confidence and have more faith in general. Jupiter will be in your sign until late October, which might prompt you to try new things or see the silver lining in your predicaments. Moving ahead with your goals might feel easier without worrying too much about worst-case scenarios.
The second eclipse of the season is the Scorpio Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse that occurs on May 15th. This could trigger some underlying anxieties or fears that may not entirely be based in reality. It may be an excellent opportunity to acknowledge that the transformation you may be seeking requires that you come clean about your fears before you can transcend them. It may be time to bridge the gap between your internal landscape and what you are trying to achieve in the world. This might relate to feeling unsafe, uprooted, or suspicious of other people's intentions. Or it may be that you struggle to reconcile the eccentric parts of yourself with your more conservative inclinations. Mars in Pisces conjoins with Neptune at the time of the eclipse, which may cast a hazy glow on your inner world. Finding ways to return to your body through your five senses and simplify your expectations could go a long way in making you feel grounded at this time.
On May 20th, the Sun's ingress into Gemini should bring more clarity in the coming weeks. Mercury meets the Sun in Gemini a day later on the 21st, which is usually considered an essential part of the Mercury Retrograde cycle; the usual symptoms of missed connections and mechanical breakdowns can be expected to accelerate. The weekend of May 20th could bring new ideas or robust solutions to recurring issues that might be easier to solve in the latter part of the month.
On May 24th, Mars enters Aries, which brings a tremendous amount of energy to your sign, and to identity issues, especially as it applies to a conjunction with Jupiter already moving through Aries. This could feel like a potent boost of energy, and you could start to feel a renewed sense of energy to go after what you want. You may have to keep in mind that although Mars and Jupiter in Aries will help you conquer many pre-existing roadblocks, you may also feel less patient with things that stand in your way. It might even be easier to work alone at this time or at least have enough space to do whatever it is that you most desire. This could be a particularly productive period, especially if you have the proper channels into which you can pour your energy and passions.
The New Moon in Gemini on May 30th brings renewal and potential positive developments that seemed impossible at the beginning of the month. You could gain concrete traction, especially with the proper planning. Keep your head high, and you may be surprised by what you can get done when you combine hard work with a positive attitude.
