This is another quite interesting month for you, Virgo, with an emphasis on thought and communication. The retrograde of Mercury, your ruler, through your sector of resources and values having just completed, taking Mercury’s retrograde shadow into account, you have likely come out the other side with some different ideas about the impact of money on your life. It is easy in this materialistic society to overvalue monetary benefits for what you do versus more intrinsic forms of motivation. You have potentially been re-thinking your work in the world over this past month as well, and seeking a better match between that important area and your most basic bottom-line values. This refers to what you feel deep inside yourself to be the absolute goal of life, what you cannot not do. Your creativity has been evolving over this past year or more, and the ultimate result might be a greater dependence on inner values, with less attention paid to the more commonly regarded carrots of income and status that could turn out to be less meaningful for you in the long run.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Elodie St-Onge-Aubut of Ninth House Astrology
Mercury, your ruler, has been retrograde in Libra for the previous month, corresponding to your sector of resources and values, which could have been prompting you to rethink your financial situation and, more extensively, the resources available to you. You may be in a process of evolution in your attitude toward material rewards and, if so, this could have been a past month of diving more deeply into these ideas and questions. As Mercury escapes its retrograde shadow and the November month begins, you are riding in the aftermath. You may want to do more of what you love requiring a reorganization of priorities so that the month could start on a clarifying note.
The New Moon in Scorpio arrives on November 4th, and productive exchanges with others are highlighted. A new cycle related to knowledge and communication begins and you could be launching yourself on an educational or a learning journey. New stimulating topics could be monopolizing a lot of your attention in this area, and it's a good time to dedicate more of your energy to understanding and researching. Anything that awakens your curiosity and that takes you outside of your current framework could also qualify as being integrated into your current passions. Once Mercury enters Scorpio the next day, on the 5th, this could be the beginning of a versatile period, and your ability to combine and synthesize various ideas could be at its peak.
On the 5th also, Venus enters Capricorn where she will be transiting for an exceptionally long time, until March 2022, due to her moving retrograde in late December lasting for most of January. Venus will therefore be in Capricorn for the next seventeen weeks and there emphasizing your desire for pleasure and also your creative life. There will be many opportunities early this coming year to reassess where you channel your creativity and your personal projects. What you love could thus be in something of a state of flux over the following months, as new ways emerge of tapping into your self-expression. Creativity and productivity can co-exist for you and you are on your way to making tangible progress in that area of your life. Mercury in Scorpio sextile Venus in Capricorn during the first weekend of the month could be particularly indicative of where you need to focus your attention.
The First Quarter Moon in Aquarius takes place on the evening of November 11th, as Mars and Mercury come into a conjunction the previous day. You might have to focus on technical work that requires a lot of patience, and you have what it takes at this time to focus. Mid-November could therefore be a productive period as long as you manage to keep any frustrations in check. The Sun in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces from the 11th to the 12th, which highlights inspiring collaboration or romantic energy and you might find it easier to work on your ideas with others at this time.
The Taurus Full Moon and partial Lunar Eclipse takes place on the 19th in the sector of your chart that relates to learning and travel. Exciting new developments are possible in that area of your life that could eventually be integrated into your work. A beautiful trine between Venus in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus creates a synergetic connection to your sign so that there might be more connections than usual between your passions and your desire for knowledge. Following your bliss could open up new doors related to learning and traveling. Pay attention to what your heart is saying at this time as it may hold the key to future explorations or journeys that could bring more joy and abundance into your life.
The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st of November signaling the beginning of a dynamic period for all things related to your home. Mercury follows suit on the 24th, entering Sagittarius; your attention may be gradually turning onto your domestic life in the following weeks. Logistical issues that require your attention might need to be dealt with now and it's also a good time to organize your space to find a better workflow. You may have to let go of the ways in which you’ve always done things or integrate more of what you are learning into your daily routine to make it all work smoothly.
On a broader note, your perception of the world and your place within it could be changing this month. This could be your opportunity to let go of familial expectations. A more authentic version of yourself is emerging and it may require you to wander into more or less foreign territory – where no one except you knows the way.
