This month is an unusual amalgam of stop and go, Sagittarius. The astrological currents swirling about you now are many and varied, including the prominent recovery of Mercury from its retrograde period. You have the impulse to travel along the potential of your multifaceted intention as far as the eye can see. And yet along with these urges comes the reigning-in tendency represented by prominent Saturn in your sign. With enthusiasm for partnership agendas as well as your own, and with ultimate faith in a properly evolving future that you can almost taste, you are fundamentally optimistic. With Mercury only stationing to direct motion on May 3rd, caution is anyway indicated, because the next few weeks are supplied with a great deal of uncertainty. The bottom line is to put all the effort that you can into discerning your most sincere values, and then to stay true to these, no matter what the world manages to throw at you.

This month the fires of transformation continue to burn in you. Your world may be turning topsy-turvy in the wake and continuation of the intensely dynamic astrological weather. If April could be likened to a bolt of lightning, then May is the clap of long and rolling thunder that follows, mirroring and echoing the themes that arose, and begging your continued attention to your awakening and evolution. The Taurus New Moon that took place just a few days prior to the first of May speaks of a new opening or fresh start in terms of your health, well-being, and orientation to your everyday life. The Taurus energy brings a point of stability amidst the tumult and intensity of the other New Moon planetary configurations. Interestingly, one of the more potent aspects of this lunation is retrograde Mercury conjoining revolutionary Uranus. With Mercury also stationing to direct motion, and considering a nearly identical aspect of the previous New Moon from late March, this really brings your attention on attempting to integrate and reflect upon the happenings of April, and allowing further new insights and learning to emerge into your awareness through the unfolding of May.
Saturn is also trine this intense combination, inviting you to bring more structure and responsibility to your life path and its changes. Perhaps there is a way that you want to break free of the confines of convention in your creative expression, yet find, simultaneously, that your need for a solid foundation and security is also heightened. There may be new opportunities available over the course of this month to weave your need for freedom in with your equally compelling need for security. The boundary-oriented energies of Saturn can sometimes feel antithetical to the liberation focus of Uranus, yet the universe seems to be asking you to explore new ways to adopt and include both in your prioritization. With a deeper look, perhaps those parts of yourself that want freedom can actually be the perfect collaborative match for the parts that need stability.
During the Scorpio Full Moon of May 10th you may find your process amplified in terms of letting go of habitual patterns, thus satisfying your yearning for change. You may feel the depth of your subconscious nearer to the surface than usual. Your intuition is heightened, and you may wish to take note of your dreams at this time, as there could be messages bubbling up from the depths of your psyche that provide clues to your healing. You are being called upon by your ruling planet, Jupiter, to depend more fully upon the resource and optimism you find in your community, which has the potential to really help your basic optimism to float amidst the tumult. You may also find energetic resource in your amazing ability to dream big for the future, in order to find traction and ignite your fire to continue moving forward in your growth process. The telling card up your sleeve this month, however, may be the solace you find in compassion for the human experience, and the profound beauty of resting in your evolving awareness of the inherent interconnectedness of all things.
