Learning Astrology
Welcome to our Learning Astrology section! Here you will find an interconnected web of astrological correspondences including astrological interpretations from our acclaimed TimePassages astrology software. Please follow the links below to learn more about the elements of astrology.
If you are interested in the issues presented
here you may want to open up the subject of Astrology for yourself
and explore it further. Then you can be the judge of what this amazing
way of knowledge has to offer you. There are several ways in which
you can do this. The most obvious one is books.
You should bring to this a calculated birth chart,
for yourself and any of your loved
ones that you want to include. Then you can get the information
relevant to these charts. It is also possible to calculate the aspects
for a transiting chart (the current planetary positions) and a progressed
chart (evolving chart over time) as well as a comparison chart between
two people. We offer many of these astrological charts
with in-depth interpretations reports
on this website. Many fine texts are on the market now, and our
brief bibliography
will help you to sort these out. We also indicate the
level of astrological information given in each book.
Another way to directly explore the workings of Astrology is through
computer programs designed for this purpose. If you are interested
in finding out what a program such as TimePassages astrology software
would have to
say about your natal, transiting or progressed chart, you can either
obtain these reports from us at AstroGraph Software directly (see
our Astrology Reports page) or else order a copy of the TimePassages
Astrology Software directly from our website.
We believe you won't find a better or more user-friendly Astrology
program on the market!
In the Astrology practiced here we use the Tropical
Zodiac, which is the fundamental building block of Western-style Astrology
and begins each year at the Vernal Equinox with zero degrees of Aries.
We also use the Humanistic methods pioneered by Allen Leo,
Marc Edmund Jones and Dane Rudhyar. In more recent
days the work of Liz Greene,
Howard Sasportas, Stephen Arroyo, Alan Oken, Steven Forrest, Erin
Sullivan, Karen Hammaker and Caroline Casey come to mind. (Many of whose work
we offer on our Astrology Books page.) This approach
is psychological in nature, rather than event-oriented, and believes
that no aspect is either good or bad, just less or more challenging,
and that all the astrological symbolism serves the higher purpose
of advancing the soul's evolution toward greater understanding, service
and light, to that which you truly are, your higher Self. May you
and I discover a bit more of it in these pages.
