This is an important month for you, Gemini, with a few monkey-wrenches thrown in. There is the positive presence of Jupiter in your sign, and yet you are likely in a more introspective and revisioning mode due to the simultaneous retrogrades of both Mercury your ruler, and an active Mars in your sector of communication, curiosity, and learning. As the Sagittarius New Moon from the very beginning of the December month continues to play out in your partnership sector, everything that you know is somewhat in question, especially the key partnerships in your life. Your relationship dynamic is up for reconsideration and potential course correction. With Mercury in trine with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, located in your social sector, friendships and groups that you favor could also be a moving target in the midst of a month of downs and ups. Your goals for future progress are being charged up with deeper implications, and intuitional information will likely be more informative than logical thought process. The Full Moon in your sign on the 15th brings a shaky fulfillment with consequences on your relationship front and with also a degree of optimism for the eventual rejuvenation of your plans for the year ahead. The 21st sees the Capricorn Solstice and a significant shift. By month’s end you return near to where to where you started; although from an entirely altered perspective.

December opens with the New Moon in Sagittarius from the night of November 30th, illuminating your seventh sector of partnerships and close relationships. This lunation invites you to reflect on the dynamics you share with significant others, whether romantic, business, or otherwise. With Mercury, your ruling planet, retrograde in Sagittarius at this time, communication within these relationships may need special attention. With Mercury in forming trine to Chiron in this New Moon, inner wounding could conceivably come up as part of this. The New Moon’s square to Saturn in Pisces adds a layer of seriousness or responsibility, particularly in relation to career or public obligations, while its trine to Mars in Leo encourages bold and direct exchanges. The interplay between these influences can help you address imbalances and align your one-on-one connections with your long-term goals.
On December 3rd and 4th, Mercury in Sagittarius opposes Jupiter in your sign, and you may well feel an optimistic energy taking hold, in spite of everything else that might be going on as the month gets underway.
Mars begins its retrograde in Leo, your third sector of communication and local interactions, on December 6th. This energy may slow down the pace of your conversations, projects, and immediate environment, offering a chance to reassess how you express yourself and engage with those around you. Pluto is newly arrived in Aquarius, beginning a new 20+ year era, and Mars opposes Pluto throughout December, there could be tough spiritual lessons around power, control, and you may experience frustration in your thinking or communication. This time also emboldens you to reevaluate your internal capacity for navigating conflict, and utilizing your agency to effect change in your life.
On December 6th also, Venus enters Aquarius, moving into your ninth sector of expansion, beliefs, and travel, and aligns with Pluto through the 8th while out of bounds in the New Moon that began the month. This amplifies Venus’s effect, bringing an intensified focus on unique or transformative experiences related to education, travel, or spiritual pursuits. With Venus opposing Mars, there may be an urge for impulsive decisions or dramatic gestures in these areas, so aim for balance and conscious action when exploring new horizons.
On December 15th, the Full Moon in your sign emphasizes your personal identity, goals, and self-expression, creating a powerful moment of realization. Mercury, your ruler, stations direct on this same day. With Mercury at a standstill, your words carry extra weight. Issues of identity and how you feel that others may regard you might come up. Trickster Uranus is aspected by the Sun and Moon, so that surprises and intuitional information that defies pure logic are also more likely than not at this timing and through to the end of the month. You will want to mindful of how you communicate your needs, as Neptune’s T-square with the Sun and Moon may add a touch of confusion or delusional thinking to interactions. This is a time for introspection, gentle conversation, and creative exploration rather than launching new plans or agreements.
The Solstice on December 21st marks the Sun’s entry into Capricorn or your eighth sector of shared resources, transformation, and deep psychological work. This shift directs your focus toward personal transformation and financial matters, encouraging reflection on what you’re ready to release and transform as you approach the New Year.
One of the most significant transits of the month — and the year — occurs from the 20th to the 28th, exact on December 24th, with Jupiter in Gemini forming a square with Saturn in Pisces. This aspect underscores the tension between your personal aspirations, sense of self, and public responsibilities (first and tenth sectors). While this may create moments of pressure or challenge, the lessons and awareness gained from navigating these waters will contribute to sustainable personal and professional growth.
As the month winds down, Chiron stations direct in your eleventh sector of friendships and long-term goals on December 29th. This transit supports healing in your social sphere and can bring valuable insights into how past wounds have shaped your alliances and aspirations.
The New Moon in Capricorn on December 30th activates your eighth sector, initiating a cycle that invites deep dives into your emotions around shared resources, joint ventures, and transformative experiences. You can utilize this time to set intentions that honor your most profound values as you look toward the year ahead with fresh eyes.
