Taurus Horoscope for February 2020

Posted on January 31, 2020 by Henry Seltzer of ASTROGRAPH.COM

This is a month of introspection for you Taurus, following the transformational intensity of the previous one. You have gone through some rather amazing changes in your worldview and basic belief system, and that metamorphosis, far from over, now takes a very different turn, toward inner contemplation. There is also a marked focus currently on your work in the word, an area of your life that might be going through something of a sea change. In terms of your goals and plans for the future, these are also felt more internally. This is especially so after mid-month, with the Mercury Retrograde in that sector of your chart. You will be questioning your future plans and then questioning the tentative answers, so you might want to be prepared for a long struggle to get your bearings over these next several weeks, into March. As you look to interior matters within your psyche, inner wounding is also quite likely to arise, and you will make important progress on moving beyond it.

With your ruler Venus still transiting in her exalted sign of Pisces to begin the month, you could be sitting pretty comfortably compared to where other signs of the zodiac are at right now. Venus is extremely happy here and she is also transiting through your house of friendship, collaborators and community, which brings extra support and pleasure from that area of your life. On the late night of February 1st/2nd, Venus sextile Pluto in Capricorn could bring up a touch of controlling or obsessive factors or also indicate opportunities via a friend or a group of people for mind-expanding experiences, academia or foreign travel. Your connections and networking charms could be paying off. Opportunities for expansion in the first week of February could also be coming from your social connections. Mercury enters Pisces on February 3rd and sextiles Uranus in Taurus on February 5th; pay extra attention to what comes up at this time; you could be prompted to revisit whatever begins now later on, around the Spring Equinox of March 21st.

On February 7th, Venus leaves Pisces for the Fire sign of Aries until March 4th where she will ignite passions and carry much less patience for compromises. A good time to review relationships during this time, Venus in Aries should help you assess partnerships and evaluate whether your needs are being met.

The Full Moon in Leo on February 8th/9th highlights your home, your roots, your private life and family. You might be asked to take care of some family matters or you could simply feel the need to take some down time at home with your loved ones. Take the space and time you need to relax and get away from your responsibilities for a night and unwind. This is a pretty busy time of the year and relaxation will do wonders.

On February 16th, the mood will shift considerable with Mercury stationing retrograde in Pisces until March 9th, and Mars entering Capricorn. This Mercury Retrograde in Pisces could prompt you to revise alliances within your community. It’s an excellent time to get rid of excess responsibilities that drain you with very little return, and assess your participation within a group. There is no need to nail yourself on a cross for a cause, and this time period should help you find a better equilibrium with shared responsibilities. There could be some initial confusion regarding a collective project or perhaps a lot of back and forth in the second half of February. However, this will reveal itself to be a necessary and fruitful process in the long run. Clear communication and patience will be needed. Mercury Retrograde in Pisces can blur the contours of reality making it hard to distinguish what is real and what is not but it’s nothing a grounded Taurus can’t handle.

Mars entering Capricorn on the same day on the other hand, will offer a nice supportive and grounding influence for the next several weeks. This will play out, especially in the realm of academia, higher education, long distance travel and your desire to expand in those realms.

The Sun in Pisces on February 18th highlights once again your collaborations and participation within your community and could bring forth some big ideas that have been in the works. There could be opportunities for expansion or branching out brought about some of your innovative ideas. Since Mercury is also retrograde in Pisces these big leaps might take some time to come to fruition but a lot is being negotiated in the second half of the month. The New Moon in Pisces on February 23rd offers fresh soil in which to plant some of your biggest dreams and visions for the year ahead. Uranus in Taurus will bring a lot of innovative mojo to your sign in the next several years. Your vision and pioneering energies will be peaking and in high demand. Your intuition and enterprising mindset could also be very handy in a work or group context, bringing new concepts to the table. In fact you could be so ahead of the game that you might need some patience to wait for others to catch up to you.

On February 25th, Mercury will meet the Sun in Pisces in an inferior conjunction as part of its retrograde cycle. This is a crucial time during Mercury Retrograde when we are offered the possibility of insights into the past, which can lead to new understandings about our present lives and circumstances. The light of the Sun illuminates your thought processes now, and allows for clarity to flow in. Mercury will still be moving retrograde in Pisces for another few weeks but this is more or less the halfway point of its retrograde cycle. The opportunity to integrate recent lessons will be augmented as well by Mars in Capricorn conjoining the South Node on the same day, offering much insight into past situations and purge what no longer serves us.

The month of February ends with your ruler Venus in a powerful conjunction with Eris in the sign of Aries and squaring Pluto in Capricorn, all this while the Moon is transiting in Taurus. This is a powerful catalyst for change within your relationships and in the world at large. Patience will be in short supply on February 28-29th and compromising could be out of the question.
