This represents another in a series of profound and illuminating monthly cycles, Aquarius, with two eclipses and a Mercury Retrograde in your opposite sign! This latter indicates that relationship is a moving target right now, with plenty of introspective investigation in store for you as July continues to unwind. Because Mercury stations in close conjunction with fiery Mars there in your seventh house, an event taking place on July 7th, there will be lots of action regarding partners, mostly however directed to the inside. As you mull over the impact of relationship on your life, you are absorbing valuable lessons that go to the very core of your personality. Home and family concerns also play a central role. This month, too, you are feeling a strong sense of mission regarding where life events are taking you, and to what end. Your goal is that you fully articulate your idealistic principles, acknowledge your transforming worldview, and begin to act upon strictly your own most sincerely felt values.
The following was written by our resident monthly columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
The month begins astrologically with a Solar Eclipse taking place in the sign of Cancer in your sixth house of work, sickness, and service, on July 2nd. This event points to a new karmic porthole opening up in the weeks and months to come, one that will invite a deeper emotional commitment to your values, perhaps also opening up possibilities to be of greater service, especially to women, families, or those groups of people who are more vulnerable or underserved. At the same time, you may find that you are being asked to move through personal emotions, perhaps especially related to family, parents, or those you live with, that aren’t easy or that require more emotional commitment than you are comfortable with. You should also watch for a potentially more vulnerable health period in the weeks and months to come, being proactive with preventative herbs and medicines, diet, exercise, sleep, etc.
Between July 7th and 9th, Mercury will conjoin with Mars in Leo in your seventh house of relationships, just as Mercury is turning retrograde. You might need to be careful of returning to old and unhealthy patterns in relationships, perhaps especially related to your communication dynamics. It is also possible that egos and tempers will be triggered very easily during this period. Remember to honor the specialness of those you are close with, but on the other hand do not let yourself be bullied or dominated by people either.
Between July 9th and the 16th, the Sun in Cancer will oppose Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in your twelfth house of self-undoing and dissolution. Then, on July 16th, a Lunar Eclipse will fall in Capricorn in your twelfth house. All of this points to a time of great learning, clarification, and growth, albeit through potentially exhausting physical circumstances or inner, psychological exploration. The sixth and twelfth house emphasis here points to a time of making a necessary but potentially painful transition from one state of being to another. The transformation involved will be deeply psychological, perhaps related to feeling of being isolated, alienated, or different from others, while also working through deeper physical circumstances connected to family or home life.
Between July 16th and the 21st, Venus in Cancer will then oppose Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn in the twelfth house, reactivating the same themes as above, but this time adding an emphasis on friendships with women, worldview, beauty, art, and love. Sometimes, love requires that we make tremendous sacrifices, and sometimes love means knowing when and where to draw personal boundAries so that we do not overextend or exhaust ourselves. Either way, there is an opportunity here for your relationships to grow deeper and more meaningful as a result of the inner work you are doing.
Finally, on July 31st, the next New Moon will fall in Leo in your seventh house of relationships, conjoined with Venus and making a square to Uranus in the sign of Taurus in your fourth house of home, family, and property. Next month, just coming off from the impact of these eclipses, you will have a lunar cycle ahead that will continue your inner process of transformation by creating a series of changes related to your dwelling, home organization, and family life, as well as your intimate relationships. These changes may be somewhat dramatic or unexpected, as is the usual with Uranus, but it’s also possible that they will provide a creative spark that inspires and liberates you, creating more space and flexibility in your life.
