You are in for an amazing May monthly cycle, Pisces, opening up new vistas on relationship and intimacy, while keeping focus on internal progress of your own manufacture, which is the key to everything. Inner wounding could come up for you as part of the transformation in which you are engaged, as a factor to become more conscious of and begin to move beyond. It helps when you can continue being as open as you can to intuitional information that arises almost unbidden from your psyche. Excursions into Nature might also be of great help. Your values are being tested for their relevance to your deeper concept of your true work in the outer world. Articulating your innermost beliefs is an important step forward toward beginning to actualize them out in the world. Communication is in fact the name of your game right now, leading you to better comprehend your roots and the impact of significant partners upon your own growth and development.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
Between May 1st and May 3rd, Mercury in Aries in your second house of money and resources will move into a sextile with Mars in Gemini in your fourth house of home and family, creating a mutual reception. Mercury will also make a square to Saturn in Capricorn in your eleventh house of friends and allies, while also conjuncting Eris and making a trine to Jupiter in Sagittarius in your tenth house of career. Mars in Gemini will then oppose Jupiter in Sagittarius between May 5th and 6th. This is a loaded sequence to start the month with. You are likely looking at finances and work-related opportunities or decisions in relation to multiple challenges or needs related to home and family. You may have some tough choices to make about your future right now with Saturn, the South Node and Pluto involved so heavily in the process. Define your principle values, and act from them, rather than waffling, making a gross compromise, or trying to do too much at once.
On May 4th, the New Moon in Taurus will land in your third, emphasizing the importance of communication, learning, siblings, short travel, and your intellectual life in the cycle to come. You are on a rather huge learning curve this month, with attention to your understanding of higher mind still to come, extending to your worldview.
Between May 7th and 8th, intelligent and communicative Mercury will conjoin revolutionary Uranus in Taurus in your third house, bringing a moment of mental breakthrough, inventiveness, rebellion, or unexpected disruption. You are likely to experience a shift in consciousness this month that will have a direct bearing on your perceptions of yourself and others, or your immediate environment. Watch for the seeds of that change to spring forth quickly after the New Moon when Mercury hits this conjunction to eclectic Uranus.
Between May 6th and May 10th, Venus in Aries in your second house of money and resources will square Saturn, the South Node, and Pluto in Capricorn in your eleventh house of friends and allies, while also conjuncting Eris and trining Jupiter in Sagittarius in your tenth house of career. During this period, you are likely to encounter some challenging events related to work as well as your friends or colleagues. However, with Venus’ trine to Jupiter, positive support and growth opportunities may simultaneously present themselves. A deeper commitment of some kind may be required in order to receive these benefits, or you might have to make some critical decisions and choose to let go of relationships that aren’t serving you any longer.
Between May 10th and the 15th, the Sun in Taurus in your third house of communication and the mind will create trines with Saturn, the South Node, and Pluto in Capricorn in your eleventh house of friends and allies, while also temporarily creating a grand earth trine with the Moon in the seventh house of relationships on May 14th. This should be a highly productive period focused on creating agreements, contracts, or mutually beneficial relationships with others. However, with Saturn and Pluto both having recently turned retrograde, you may also be trying to consolidate or restructure different formal relationships for the sake of being more productive or successful in the future, perhaps avoiding old patterns of dysfunction.
On May 18th, the Full Moon in Scorpio will fall in your ninth house of spirituality and higher beliefs, while Venus conjoins Uranus in the third house of communication and the mind. Here, the question of what higher principles, teachers, or guidance you are following will come into direct tension with the desire to create your own reality, or to break free from higher guidance in order to seek your own path or personal authority. This may also manifest in terms of conflicting beliefs or ideals in your relationships.
On May 22nd to the 24th, Mars in Cancer in your fifth house of creativity and good fortune will then square Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in Aries in your second house of money and finances, bringing a confrontational moment related to money, time, and energy. However, on a deeper level, the question might be, “Am I using my resources creatively' Am I using my resources in a way that brings me joy'” Or, on the other hand, “Am I seeking forms of pleasure that are wasteful or harmful'”
Finally, from May 29th to May 30th, Mercury in Gemini in your fourth house of home and family will square Neptune in your home sign of Pisces while also opposing Jupiter in Sagittarius in your tenth house of career. This transit also focuses on a philosophical opposition or dichotomy that is present right now for you at work versus in the home, or in private. The synthesis can only be found in going inward and more clearly defining your own boundAries, ideals, and dreams.
