This month represents a mystical journey to the inside, Gemini, providing an important contrast to the hard and fast logic of normal waking life. You may find yourself slipping into dreamtime at unforeseen junctures. A valuable process of deep intuition is available to you now, waking or sleeping, to the extent that you choose to tune in to it, as your awareness is flooded with information stemming directly from the deeper layers of your psyche. You have in recent weeks been through a somewhat trying time of getting more familiar with the profound and hidden places within you, including inner wounding. This month, in the follow-up to unexpected realizations, you are getting a better handle on them, and even beginning to recognize in them a significant part of your spiritual path. In the days following the Full Moon weekend of the 18th, you will emerge into greater conscious understanding of all that you are, and will be better able to meet physical world obligations from the standpoint of a more integrated approach.

The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School

Between May 1st and May 3rd, your ruling planet Mercury, from the sign of Aries in the eleventh house of friends and dreams, will be making a square to Saturn in Capricorn in your eighth house of death and rebirth, while also conjuncting Eris and squaring Pluto, while forming a sextile with Mars in your home sign of Gemini, creating what is traditionally called a “mutual reception.” Given that Saturn and Pluto also recently turned retrograde in your eighth house, this is an important moment of exploring what resources are available to you for the sake of your dreams and ambitions and which resources are no longer viable, or which might even represent a compromise of your integrity. You may be feeling as ambitious and innovative as ever right now, but it’s going to be important to think carefully about who or what you want to partner with as you pursue your dreams and goals. In the long run, it will be worth it if you act on your highest principles rather than entertaining complicated compromises.

On May 4th, the New Moon in Taurus will land in your twelfth house of dissolution and surrender, suggesting that you may struggle in the month ahead to let go of things that are no longer serving you, or to work through personal doubts or even fatigue or physical exhaustion. However, when the Sun finally enters your home sign of Gemini on May 21st, any residual heaviness should lift significantly.

Between May 5th and May 6th, Mars in your home sign of Gemini will oppose Jupiter in Sagittarius in your seventh house of relationships, energizing you through spirited or even competitive exchanges with others. Be careful of some degree of intellectual bravado right now. You may be easily triggered or baited into unnecessary arguments.

Between May 7th and 8th, your ruling planet Mercury will conjoin Uranus in Taurus in your twelfth house of dissolution and surrender, prompting a moment of intellectual, mental, and communicative breakthrough, discovery, and possibly even rebellion or recklessness. Use care when voicing your opinions or ideas, and don’t be surprised if you also receive some unexpected news at this time, or if the atmosphere around you is somewhat erratic or destabilizing. Be careful of the temptation to impulsively abandon your responsibilities or to go AWOL right now, as well.

Between May 6th to the 10th, Venus in Aries in your eleventh house of friends, allies, and groups, will square Saturn, the South Node of the Moon, and Pluto in Capricorn in your eighth house of death and other people’s money, while also conjuncting Eris and making a trine to Jupiter in Sagittarius in your seventh house of relationships. During this period, you may find that you are once again having to make some difficult choices related to your friends or social circles, or that you are considering whether to accept some level of support or help being offered to you by others. On the other hand, just as some doors are closing, or some forms of support may no longer be viable, you may find that newer and even better forms of support and relationships are opening to you.

Between May 10th and the 15th, the Sun in Taurus in your twelfth house of surrender and dissolution will make trines to Saturn, the South Node, and Pluto in Capricorn in your eighth house of death and other people’s money. You are going to be working hard to turn a difficult or stressful situation into a time of practical productivity. This process will culminate on May 18th when the Full Moon in Scorpio lands in your sixth house of work, sickness, and service, just as Venus is conjoining unpredictable Uranus in Taurus in your twelfth house. You are on the verge of a breakthrough, but it’s clear that the forces of necessity will be pressuring you to innovate and find new pathways toward success, especially when unexpected changes at work and in your social life appear.

On May 22nd to the 24th, Mars in Cancer in your second house of finances will square Chiron in Aries in the eleventh house, indicating a moment of greater awareness of inner wounding and the obstacles that this might make for feeling free to move forward with your truest intention. Deeper emotional healing for you around both the topics of money and resources as well as friendships or allies will also eventually become available. Again, it appears as though there are going to be some big shifts this month regarding who and what you consider to be your best allies, aids or resources. As these social changes happen, they might temporarily throw a wrench in your wheels, but it’s likely that in short time, as you heal and integrate these experiences, you will be finding exciting new resources and opportunities.

Finally, from May 29th to the 30th, your ruling planet Mercury in Gemini will square Neptune in Pisces in your tenth house and then oppose Jupiter in Sagittarius in your seventh house, bringing with it a moment of philosophical or ideological catharsis. You might be considering a new philosophy or business strategy, or you might find that you are working through the terms of a new agreement or work contract. Whatever the case might be, look for the perfect balance between careful, rational thinking and idealistic optimism.
