Cancer Horoscope for March 2019

This is a month of greater and greater awareness of inner matters, Cancer. You are receiving fresh inspiration for existing beliefs and worldview, while simultaneously taking on novel ways of thinking and of seeing. The retrograde of Mercury beginning on the 5th, plus the very next evening’s Pisces New Moon, packs a one-two punch for taking your understanding to new levels, based to a large degree on inner knowing. There is also a huge transformational component to this month’s process, involving relationship. You are discovering the effects of early wounding, perhaps buried away, behind walls of repression. The first steps in dealing with these issues are the hardest; after that the going comes more easily. It helps enormously to have total faith in your guiding angels that you are on the right track. There is a natural law that tells of how logic only takes you so far, and then breaks down in the face of deeper realities, and you currently are feeling your way along that path.

The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School

At the start of the month, Venus in Capricorn in your seventh house of relationships will immediately square Uranus in Aries in your tenth house of career, bringing an erratic and potentially revolutionary energy into your professional and personal life simultaneously. Don’t be surprised if there are some unexpected twists and turns the first few days of the month with Venus and Uranus perfecting their square on March 1st.

On March 6th, the New Moon in Pisces will conjoin Neptune in Pisces just as Mercury is also turning retrograde in your ninth house. In the month ahead, you are going through something of a philosophical or spiritual change of heart and mind. Inspiration may also come from dreams or non-ordinary states of consciousness. Be as discerning as you can because this transit may bring some degree of fuzzy thinking, but don’t be scared to ask questions at a much deeper level right now, either.

On the same day, March 6th, Uranus will also enter Taurus and move into your eleventh house of friends, colleagues, and groups, suggesting immanent changes, disruption, liberation, and inventiveness in relation to your social life. It’s a great time to break out of social dynamics that are stifling and to seek out association with interesting new allies. This one will be with you all the way through 2025!

Between March 14th and March 20th, Mars in Taurus in your eleventh house of friends, allies, and groups will make trines to both Saturn and Pluto in your seventh house of relationships. It is an especially good time to strategize or prepare yourself for a deeper social or professional change that you are anticipating in the future. It’s also an especially powerful time for collaborative efforts or for coming together with those you are close with in order to get things done.

On March 20th, the Sun will pass through the gateway of the Spring Equinox and conjoin Chiron in Aries in your tenth house of career, just as the Full Moon is passing through your fourth house of home and family. This sequence brings a moment of healing, wisdom, and clarity into your professional house and signals the start of a new chapter in relation to your career. At the same time, the Full Moon in Libra in the fourth house of home and family brings themes of justice, truth, balance, and beauty into the area of home and family.

At the exact same time, around March 20th, Venus in your eighth house of death and transformation in the sign of Aquarius is moving into a square with Mars in Taurus in the eleventh house of friends and groups, once again pointing to themes of collaboration in relationships, and among friends or within groups. However, for the best results, you may also have to make some difficult choices regarding who and what you are most allied with. Some relationships may not survive the process.

Finally, between March 24th and the 2nd of April, Mercury will conjoin Neptune in Pisces in the ninth house, Venus will enter Pisces, and then Mercury will turn direct, conjuncting Neptune once more. This sequence signifies the eventual clarifying of your philosophical, spiritual, and moral commitments, maybe after a period of deeper questioning, doubt, or confusion. Venus’ entrance into the ninth house, exalted in the sign of Pisces, also brings good fortune, beauty, and blessings, potentially related to women, teachers, or the goddess. Venus will also bring spiritual and philosophical comradery, potentially blending romantic and spiritual themes along the way.
