This is yet another time of great wonder and many internal changes, Capricorn, as your ruler, Saturn, continues to feed your evolving sense of your true identity. After months of self-study, you are reveling in your enhanced understanding of yourself at the core; this is however not the time to rest on your laurels, but rather to press ahead with the further transformative changes that are still in store for you, wherever they might lead. As this climactic two-year period continues, leading up to the societal shifts of 2020, the same astrological forces that symbolize this massive cultural watershed are also the trail markers for your own personal journey into greater wholeness. At present you are exploring your deepest and most sincere values. Your native curiosity and substantial learning curve partake more than ever of a spiritual mandate to articulate and explore the greater truth that lies within you. You are ultimately being called upon to act in accordance with all that you uniquely hold inside, and nothing else.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
month begins with a square from Mars in Aries in your fourth house of home and family to Pluto in your home sign of Capricorn, bringing a moment of personal confrontation and catharsis related to your home, family, roots, or property. Simultaneously, Venus in Sagittarius in your twelfth house of dissolution is making a trine to Uranus in Aries in your fourth house, signaling the possibility for a breakthrough in your relationships, possibly within your family, or again related to your home. With Venus also squaring Chiron in Pisces in the third house of communication, it’s important that you speak the truth to those you love, even if it hurts or if it makes you feel vulnerable. There is an opportunity for healing and learning right now that goes straight to your roots.
On February 3rd, Venus will enter your home sign of Capricorn where it will bring the topics of women and the goddess to bear on your life for the rest of the month; watch especially for themes of love and harmony, beauty, health, grace, friendship, and good fortune to pervade the atmosphere.
On February 4th, the New Moon in Aquarius falls in your second house, indicating an emphasis on money, resources, business, and finances for the lunar cycle to come. You will also likely be dealing with issues of identity and communication of your values to others. Clear communication is essential, as events will confirm, as the month continues to unfold.
Between February 12th and 13th, Mars in Aries will conjoin Uranus in Aries in the fourth house, bringing another powerful moment of confrontation, decisive action, breakthrough, and sudden change into the realm of home, family, parents, and property. Then on February 14th, Mars will change signs and move into Taurus in your fifth house, where the God of War, Conflict, and Courage will engage with the topics of children and pregnancy, creativity, pleasure, and joy for the next 40+ days.
On February 18th and 19th, Venus in Capricorn will conjoin your ruling planet, Saturn, in your home sign, indicating a very personal moment of union and harmony, beauty and agreement. It’s a good time to either deepen existing relationships, make a relationship formal, or release whatever relationships are no longer working with a clear conscience. On February 18th, as well, Chiron will enter Aries and move into your fourth house of home and family for the better part of the next decade. This transit will bring a long and very deep season of healing and spiritual growth in relation to the wounds of the past, the wounds and pain you carry related to childhood, home, family, and your parents. As the process develops in the years to come, don’t be surprised if you are called on as a source of wisdom and expertise related to these topics, as well.
On February 19th, the Full Moon in Virgo lights up your ninth house of the higher mind, spirituality, and long journeys. With the Full Moon’s ruler, Mercury, simultaneously conjoining Neptune in Pisces in the third house of the mind and communication, this Full Moon will have you seeking the highest truth and looking for clarity, but it may also require that you open your mind to non-ordinary states of consciousness, dreams, or even synchronicities in order to find the answers you’re looking for.
On February 22nd Venus in Capricorn in your first house will conjoin Pluto in Capricorn, bringing a more intense moment of cleansing, revelation, upheaval, and rebirth. This transit may affect your personal health, but it is also an intensely psychological transit that is helping you to see yourself more clearly in relation to others. Watch for themes of feminine empowerment, or depth and catharsis related to relationships and sexuality, as well. A few days later, and lasting g through the remainder of the month, Venus will then apply toward a square with Uranus in Aries in your fourth house, reiterating the theme of changes, disruptions, liberation and sudden or shocking breakthroughs related to home, family, and roots.
