This is a dramatic month for you, Virgo, especially where partners are concerned. Relationship is in the picture from the very beginning of February, along with the idea of your own singularity. A transformation in your creative output either imposes additional strictures, or else symbolizes obstacles to invention giving way at last, allowing new forms of self-expression to begin to emerge. These might come from deeper down in your heart, and at times require you to bring your full strength to bear, in order to stay centered there. The Full Moon of February 19th represents the dawning of a new relationship phase of greater integration, when also surprising insights continue to unfold. You are more of the same mind with partners, but it is a right-brain artistic mind, everything a little vague and unknown. You are deep diving for your own heroic mission, coming up with the pearl of wisdom that will light your way forward into inhabiting more of your authentic truth than ever before.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
The month begins just as Mars in Aries in your eighth house of death and other people’s resources makes a square to Pluto in your fifth house of children, pregnancy and creativity, exact on February 2nd. Watch for deeper personal encounters and chance events that spark child-like creativity or create catharsis through confrontation, depth, and intensity. Meanwhile, at the same time Venus in Sagittarius in your fourth house of home and family will make a trine to Uranus in Aries in your eighth house, bringing unexpected discoveries or revelations at home and in your relationships. With Venus also squaring Chiron in Pisces in your seventh house of relationships, it’s possible that this sequence of events will address a deeper level of pain and healing that is needed right now in your relationships. Healing and good fortune will come through if you are sure to be honest with those you are closest with.
On February 3rd, Venus enters Capricorn and moves into your fifth house of creativity, children, and joy, bringing with her an aura of creative maturity, beauty, blessings, and feminine wisdom in the weeks to come.
On February 4th the New Moon in Aquarius lands in your sixth house of work, sickness, and service, indicating that the lunar cycle ahead may bring with it a series of challenges related to work and health. You may also feel the impetus to implement new ideas at work or with coworkers or employees that you manage, or you may feel called to offer yourself in service to others this lunar cycle. With Neptune emphasized in your seventh house of partnership, you might feel self-sacrificial toward others, and you should also be careful not to drain yourself by overworking.
Between February 12th and 13th Mars will conjoin with Uranus in Aries in your eighth house, bringing a moment of breakthrough, defiance, and sudden disruption, potentially in relation to finances or relationships. Then, on February 14th Mars will move into Taurus and enter your ninth house where you will be looking very deeply at your philosophical motivations and your spiritual life for the next month and beyond. The revelations you are having right now are leading you toward a deeper philosophical confrontation with yourself, which you may be tempted to try to plow through by staying overly practical. Take the time. It will be worth it in the long run to reflect on what’s happening around you right now.
On February 18th and 19th, Venus will conjoin Saturn in Capricorn in the fifth house of children, creativity, and joy, bringing themes of closure and beauty, commitment and love, creativity and sobriety. On February 18th, as well, Chiron will also enter Aries and move into your eighth house where it will stay for the better part of the next decade. The eighth house was traditionally related to all manner of endings, karmic penalties, and anxiety about the future, as well as issues pertaining to money and relationships. The healing and learning you are ready to do is thus going to bring you into contact with the reality of what you can and cannot control in life, as well as the reality of impermanence. You are also about to learn what you can and cannot rely upon others for, as well as what others should or should not expect from you in your most intimate relationships. This process is going to be deep and long lasting and may also lead to you turning these experiences into useful knowledge for others.
On February 19th, the Full Moon falls in your home sign and house of Virgo, emphasizing the importance of self-care, independence, and heightened self-awareness. With your ruling planet, Mercury, simultaneously in Pisces in the seventh house of relationships, conjoining with Neptune, questions of intimacy and honesty are going to be an integral part of the lessons of this Full Moon.
On February 22nd, Venus in Capricorn will conjoin with Pluto in your fifth house of creativity and joy and then a few days later on, will apply toward a square with Uranus in Aries in the eighth house of death and transformation, which will perfect by the end of the month. This sequence suggests once more that your relation to pleasure and joy, as well as intimacy and honesty in relationships are in the spotlight this month. You can expect upheaval and the unexpected, again especially in your relationships, but remember that for as intense as these transits can be, Pluto brings renewal and Uranus brings liberation. These encounters will be part of a new chapter of healing in your life so long as you do not hide from them or resist their message for you right now.
