This is a big month for you, Taurus, when your work in the world, and its alignment with your life purpose, will be on the line. The configurations of February link public statement with mystical yearnings and simultaneously with concrete application of effort. Only the path with heart will yield results that are ultimately practical. Partners come into the picture as well this month, as enhancing your efforts to be your most authentic self, and to consider, in all your dealings, who you are below the surface layers of your personality. Your worldview and core beliefs are up for revision and transformation, and at the end of the day for pruning down to their essence as you kick out the excess weeds of what no longer serves you. There is an important link that you are forging now between what you believe in, and what you do. When you act in accordance with this inner awareness of your most sincere values, you act for the sake of your most vibrant future.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
The month begins with Mars in Aries in your twelfth house of dissolution and the collective unconscious squaring Pluto in Capricorn in your ninth house of the higher mind (perfecting on February 2nd). It’s a moment of intense learning and transformation. You are visiting your personal shadows right now while also experiencing a momentary breakthrough in your personal understanding of life and the greater reason for your being here.
At the same time, your ruling planet, Venus, from the eighth house and the sign of Sagittarius is making a trine to Uranus in Aries in the twelfth house, helping you to understand the deeper motives of those you have surrounded yourself with, both personally and professionally. While some of these realizations may be difficult, with Venus also squaring Chiron in Pisces in your eleventh house, it’s likely that you will feel healed by these experiences, overall. You may even make some important new friends or deepen existing friendships along the way.
On February 3rd, Venus will then enter Capricorn and move into the ninth house of the higher mind and long journeys, suggesting again that you are searching for more meaningful spiritual or educational relationships this month. It might be that you will find philosophical support for a new mandate of service to others, and to your community at large.
On February 4th the New Moon in Aquarius will land in your tenth house of career, emphasizing a series of important work-related developments in the weeks ahead. With Saturn in your ninth house emphasized by this New Moon, you are arriving at greater commitment for recently transformed beliefs and worldview, as well as making these more concretely available to you in your daily life.
Between February 12th and 13th, Mars in Aries in your twelfth house will then conjoin Uranus in Aries, creating a powerful moment of personal and spiritual breakthrough, just as Mars enters your first house and home sign of Taurus on February 14th. Even though you are more Venusian in nature, Mars exiting the twelfth house and entering your first house is going to help you put things into motion and recover from a period of inertia or inner turmoil or stagnation.
On February 18th and 19th, Venus in Capricorn will conjoin Saturn in your ninth house of long journeys and the higher mind, indicating a time of love and learning, beauty and understanding, commitment and faith, just as the planet Chiron is moving into the sign of Aries in your twelfth house of dissolution and surrender, where it will stay for the better part of the next decade. Chiron’s entrance into your twelfth house points to a long season of working through your fears and your relationship with aggression and anger, as well as strengthening the desire to act in the world on behalf of those who are suffering.
Then, also on February 19th, the Full Moon in Virgo lights up your fifth house, highlighting the importance of children or the topic of pregnancy, as well as the themes of creativity, joy, fun, sports, and recreation. The Full Moon also coincides with Mercury’s conjunction to Neptune in the eleventh house of friends and social groups, reminding you to remain a child at heart, especially if you want to join your spiritual values and your social life at a deeper level.
On February 22nd, Venus will conjoin with Pluto in your ninth house of the higher mind, creating a moment of great understanding, purging, and healing simultaneously. The importance of relationships and faith, learning and love, can’t be understated this month. As the month ends, your ruler Venus, having continued to work its way through your ninth house, will move into a square with Uranus in Aries, suggesting that the lessons of relationships, learning, and faith are intensifying toward a moment of greater illumination and personal breakthrough, which will tone the start of next month!
