This is another somewhat difficult and yet rewarding month for you, Aquarius. The retrogrades of both Venus and Mercury are prominent in your chart, especially after mid-month, and you are reconsidering many aspects of your life, including your future plans. You are on a huge learning curve. After a summer of attempting to better understand yourself and your motivations you are coming around to course corrections that are vital for your continued well being. This involves the public sphere of career and profession, what you intend as well as what you do, and just as much as how the bills get paid, the way that you see your creativity unfolding. A rebel streak that has been active within you since the summer of 2016 is once again coming to the fore. You seek in all your communication to articulate your deepest values, even as these take on mystical overtones, and to allow these more internal considerations to inform your outwardly focused decision process.
The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School
The month begins with retrograde Venus, now in relationship-oriented Libra, corresponding to your ninth house of travel, education, and higher mind, emphasizing these areas, while the Leo Moon briefly opposes Mars, remaining in your sign, corresponding to the way you think about your own identity issues, who and what you truly are. After rethinking this concept all last summer, you are still engaged in seeing through your changes there, putting the cap on your accumulated wisdom in this area.
Then, on November 7th, the Scorpio New Moon falls in your tenth house of career. After Venus’ recent retrograde through your tenth house, you are ready to begin implementing changes in your career that have been brewing for the past month. Even if some of these changes have come through some challenges, perhaps especially in relation to your romantic relationships, or perhaps regarding tensions in the workplace, the clarity you have now will be helpful moving forward.
Meanwhile, for much of the month, Venus will be retrograde in the sign of Libra, in your ninth house of the higher mind, opposite Uranus in Aries in third house of communication and learning. You are also thinking very deeply this month about your beliefs and ideals, about your personal philosophy, and about how your beliefs or intellect jives with or clashes with those you are in closer relationships with. Or, you may be deeply invested in a learning process and going through a period of intense questioning, studying, and intellectual transformation.
Watch especially for interesting realizations as Venus turns direct on November 17th. This is a good time to initiate new ideas and beliefs or to integrate new lessons that you are learning. Watch also for tensions to climax both intellectually, spiritually, or philosophically, perhaps especially in your relationships with others and at work on November 30th, when Venus will perfect in her opposition to Uranus, creating a powerful moment of breakthrough and transformation in both areas at once, just before she re-enters your tenth house of career.
On November 8th, Jupiter will enter Sagittarius and move into your eleventh house of friends and groups, where it will stay for the next year. In the year ahead, you are ready to broaden your mind and your horizons, especially in terms of friendships, groups of people, colleagues, or your broader social life. The connections you make during this period will greatly expand both your mind and your heart, reconnecting you to your destiny path and reminding you that you are here for a purpose more magical and exciting than you can imagine most days. This is truly an exciting transit, filled with possibilities, but as with all Jupiter transits, it will hinge on your ability to recognize the opportunities and to act on them when they appear!
On November 15th Mars, the warrior, will change signs and move into Pisces in your second house of finances and resources, after spending most of its time in Aquarius since May. Mars will then square Jupiter in Sagittarius in your twelfth house on November 19th. You are now entering a period where the desire to earn more, to produce, or to expand your finances or business will be pronounced. Opportunities to invest, or to start a new business, expand your salary, revenue, or earning power may present themselves thanks to the beneficial connection Mars is making with Jupiter. On the other hand, you should be careful of giving too much to others, especially friends or groups, as Mars in Pisces may also reflect a drain on your money through excessive spending or giving.
November 17th Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius in your eleventh house of friends in a square to Neptune in the second house of money and finances. Because this Mercury Retrograde cycle is toned by Neptune, you will likely be seeking clarity around both your financial and social trajectory during a time of confusion or uncertainty. However, if you stick with the process, and practice patience and discernment you will find that revisions to both your social life and financial situation come along naturally and provide you with all the right information you need to make the healthiest decisions for your future.
Finally, November 22nd into the 23rd, the Full Moon in Gemini in your fifth house of creativity and joy opposes the Sun and Jupiter in Sagittarius in your eleventh house of friends and groups, while also creating a T-square with Mars in Pisces in your second house of money and values. With the Full Moon falling in the house of creativity and joy, the questions to ask yourself are, “Who are my people, and what is the most joyous and creatively fulfilling use of my time, energy, and resources'” If when surveying your life, you find that you are at a dead-end with the people you associate with, the way you spend your time and money, and the level of happiness you’re currently experiencing, then it’s clearly time to make a change.” Maybe it’s a big change, or maybe it’s an easy, small adjustment, but whatever the case might be, it’s important that you read the writing on the wall and shift your life so that your personal values and your relationships are providing you with the healthiest possible outlets for creative self-expression!
