Leo Horoscope for November 2018

This is a month of delving down into your depths, Leo, an activity that has been gaining ground within your soul in recent weeks and has further still to go. A significant stage in this journey to the inside will be reached in the timing of the Scorpio New Moon of November 7th. Venus retrograding through your core sector, for weeks now, contributes to the introspective mood you find yourself in. You are reviewing and reconsidering everything to do with career direction and your communicative connection with others in your life. Relationship itself is on your mind, and its underlying motivations. As you muse over your own development, you are more aware than ever of the role played by important partners, and their contributions to your own evolving worldview. Especially after the mid-month retrograde of Mercury, you are attempting to understand how you employ your own self-expression in service to the collective movement of the society that surrounds you, and that gives you a place to take your stand.

The month begins with retrograde Venus entering into the relationship-oriented sign of Libra, corresponding to your third house of learning and communication, indicating that you may well be exploring new avenues of expression and reflecting on what this area of life truly means for you, while the Leo Moon briefly opposes Mars, still in Aquarius, corresponding to your seventh house of partnership. After rethinking all last summer the way that you do relationship, you are still engaged in seeing through your changes there, and trying to better understand them.

Then, on November 7th, the Scorpio New Moon falls in your fifth house of children, and creative self-expression, emphasizing the need to find greater joy and happiness in your everyday life, or to perhaps express yourself more creatively. Paired with Venus’ recent retrograde in your fifth house, you might be going through a romantic renaissance as of late, and this New Moon promises to keep up with these themes as it plants a new seed that will grow and blossom in the weeks ahead. You may also be motivated to explore the way that you act upon your deepest values, rather on society’s ideas of your career needs.

Then, on November 7th, the Scorpio New Moon falls in your fourth house of home and family, and planting a seed of changes to come in the month ahead. With Venus having recently retrograded through your fourth house, you are now ready to take the lessons you’ve been learning at home, and especially in your most private or basic relationships, and put them into action.

Meanwhile, all month long, Venus will be retrograde in the sign of Libra, in your third house of the mind and learning, opposite Uranus in Aries in the ninth house of the higher mind, faith, and long journeys. It’s a great moment to reflect upon the way in which ideas or beliefs are shaping the course of your relationships, and to adjust your mindset where it is needed so that you are neither shutting others out because of mental rigidity or letting unhealthy people influence you due to poor boundAries.

Watch especially for Venus turning direct on November 17th. This is a good time to initiate creative changes related to the topics of learning, communicating, technology, media, teaching, or writing. Note too that on November 30th, Venus will exactly oppose Uranus, intensifying the themes of mental, spiritual, and communicative transformation, especially in relationships. Get ready for a creative breakthrough!

On November 8th, Jupiter enters Sagittarius and moves into your fifth house of children, creativity, and joy, for the next year to come. This is an exciting transit that will bring a wave of creative inspiration into your life. Over the course of the months to come you may feel the call to pursue new creative projects, and you may also feel a renewed or expanded sense of personal confidence, faith, and belief in yourself. At the same time, you may be tempted to overdo things or to go to extremes in the name of pleasure or fun. Let modesty be your ally, and this transit will bring nothing but deeper alignment with your creative calling in the world.

On November 15th Mars, the warrior, will change signs and move into Pisces in your eighth house of death and rebirth after spending most of its time in Aquarius since May. Mars will then square Jupiter in Sagittarius in your fifth house on November 19th. Just as the creative winds begin blowing at your back, they will be invigorated by the presence of Mars, who will be challenging you to let go of things that are no longer serving you. November 22nd into the 23rd, the Full Moon in Gemini in your eleventh house of friends and groups opposes the Sun and Jupiter in Sagittarius in your fifth house of creativity, while also creating a t-square with Mars in Pisces in your eighth house of death and rebirth. Just as you are on the edge of a period of personal and creative expansion, you are also being asked to join with others and to bring your creative spirit into a broader community context. The biggest question might be whether your larger social concerns are helping you or holding you back from the creative momentum that is currently building around you. The energy of Mars is putting pressure on the situation and demanding that transformation occur wherever it is needed so that a creative process can begin without any hindrance, but also by incorporating the help of key allies who may have special resources to offer you right now.
