Cancer Horoscope for March 2018

Posted on February 27, 2018 by Henry Seltzer of ASTROGRAPH.COM

This is a time for you of profound change, Cancer, as you are caught up in reflecting where you have been and how far you have yet to go. You are entering into a thoughtful time of re-orientation and assimilation, following the recent eclipses lighting up your intimacy sector. Your focus there references interpersonal bonding and yet also greatly involves your own internal linkages within yourself. A major theme this month is getting outside of your own point of view to connect more solidly with others, while simultaneously maintaining your own sense of yourself independent of other voices. Your self-expression has a mystical component these days, and when you examine your inner world more closely, takes you further along the road of your ultimate destiny. Especially after the 22nd, this is a time of self-study, when much of your waking energy will be spent in refining your world view and basic beliefs along the lines indicated by inner dreams and values being brought to greater consciousness.

The following was written by this month's guest columnist Adam Elenbaas of The Nightlight Astrology School

The month of March begins with a Full Moon in your third house of communication, siblings, and learning, calling you to carefully articulate and communicate all that you are thinking and feeling, and it’s likely some pretty deep stuff that you’re thinking about these days with four planets traveling through your opposite ninth house of spirituality, faith, and higher learning. It’s also possible that your relationships with siblings or cousins are highlighted right now. Remember the words of St. Francis, “Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.”

On March 4th the Sun and Neptune conjoin in Pisces, therefore in your ninth house, while Mercury and Venus also conjoin in Pisces. It’s a great time to investigate communities of faith, or to find good teachers. You may also be learning how to communicate to those you love about intangible experiences, or about things that you are feeling but may not have words for. Be sure to keep your feet on the ground, as so many planets in Pisces may sometimes sweep you into states of confusion or illusion, as well!

Late March 5th into early March 6th Mercury will cross into Aries and on March 6th Venus will also enter Aries, both thus moving into your tenth house. You are going to be quite fired up and passionate this month, but does everyone around you feel the same way? How important is it for everyone around you to feel, think, or act in the same way you are? If you’re having to guilt-trip or emotionally coerce people to go along with you, then you may want to rethink what you’re doing and saying. It’s also a very good time for new projects, announcements, or tech initiatives in the work place. Just remember to be careful with the level of enthusiasm you bring to your work right now, and also speak slowly and clearly, as you may be prone to communication problems this month.

Between late in the evening of March 10th through March 13th Mercury and Venus in Aries in your career house will be moving through square aspects to Saturn in Capricorn in your seventh house of relationships. You might be ready to take off in an exciting new direction, but how does your spouse feel about it? Or how do your business partners feel about your latest ideas? Some level of compromise might be required right now. On the other hand, if someone is being a stick-in-the-mud, then it might be time to cut your losses and move forward anyway.

On March 17th the Pisces New Moon brings you a degree of comfort as your own sign aligns with soft and sweet Pisces, representing your ninth house of higher mind. This may also represent a fresh start on educational matters or travel initiatives that you favor. In any case it is a good time to think about these areas of your life and how your beliefs have changed over the years. Also on this day, Mars enters Capricorn and moves into your seventh house, marking a period that highlights hard work and relationships. Just as you couldn’t be more fired up about things, with Venus and Mercury moving through Aries in your tenth house, those you are closest with are going to get quite fired up as well. This could make for wonderful collaboration, competition, or perhaps a grudge match; it is important remember to listen to your heart and do everything from a place of patience and gentleness. Even when amazing effort is required, what makes you special is your ability to nurture yourself and others through the process.

March 20th marks the Spring Equinox, at which time the Sun goes into Aries and moves into your tenth house, signaling the dawning of the light half of the year. A new vision is trying to establish itself this month and it likely revolves around your career and the direction you would like to take it in, moving forward. There is no stopping the energy of the spring rains once it starts pouring in!

Next, on March 23rd Venus in Aries in your tenth house squares Pluto in Capricorn in your seventh, while Mercury also turns retrograde in Aries in your tenth house. Plans and strategies may need to shift at this time, or your expectations may need to change, as you might be looking for the best people to help you implement a completely new idea in your professional life. With Mercury in retrograde in your house of career, circumstances could also shift, realigning once again after three to five weeks when Mercury straightens out. No doubt you have been inspired recently and now it’s time to watch more quietly, doing research while waiting to fully act on that enthusiasm.

On March 28th Venus briefly conjoins Uranus in Aries in your tenth house. Here we see the planet of love and relationships conjoin with the planet of the rebel and the innovator. Changes are indicated in your career and professional life, and they might come suddenly! You could also be called to think outside of the box or to come up with innovative solutions to complex relationship or work challenges. Don’t be surprised if your inner rebel or child needs to act out, or if your friends, lovers or colleagues are asking more of you than what you might be ready for.

Finally, on March 31st it’s a Full Moon in Libra in your fourth house of home and family. The month ends on a familiar domestic note, which should feel very nice considering how incredibly dynamic and “public,” this month has been. Take the time to tend to your inner life, as well as your home and hearth, as the month closes, because April and May will be quite dynamic for you, as well!
