This is a powerful month for you, Sagittarius, when many things in your life could alter, and when you are experiencing your creativity in a multiplicity of ways. Whatever you find yourself doing must be accompanied by a sense of deeper purpose. The necessary earthly factors for you to survive materially are an important part of your meditations now, and the subject of important lessons, although your finances might be only peripherally involved. You are spending a great deal of focus on trying to stay in touch with your own inner process. Regarding your artistic creativity, which is varied and also variable, whatever you come up with that is not fully in line with what you feel to be your highest mission will be seen as less important, while whatever is in alignment with that soul purpose will be greatly blessed.
As the month begins, you are feeling strongly the forming square between Jupiter, your ruler, and stodgy old Saturn, in your sector of unconscious process, symbolizing an intensity of responsibility and perhaps as well a frustrating sense of limitation. Saturn is also stationing direct just as the month of August begins, rendering his presence even more powerful, because moving so much more slowly. The recent New Moon from mid-July also took place in a Water sign, one that corresponds to your sector of intimacy and personal evolution, another indication that over this monthly cycle you are being pulled to the inside. With strong Saturn you are also feeling stymied in moving ahead as fast as you would like. The great advantage, however, is that by paying closer attention to every detail of what you are up to, you gain enormously in your understanding of yourself in all ways, especially in the more profound layers of your psyche. These little understood and relatively hidden places within you have much to offer, because it can be said that they actually underlie everything that you say and do.
Your ruler, Jupiter, is made prominent in your ninth solar sector of higher mind by the square to Saturn, his ongoing conjunction with Venus, and by a trine with Eris. The Sun in the timing of the recent Full Moon was also in your ninth sector. This month you therefore have very much in your mind and heart the philosophical underpinnings of worldview, the prelude to action in and for the world. As you engage in the challenge of this monthly cycle you benefit from stepping back for a big-picture view of what is happening around and through you. This becomes an increasingly important theme for you as the first half of August unfolds, because Venus was conjunct Jupiter during the recent New Moon, and will be so again as her retrograde truly gets underway, around the beginning of the first full week of the month.
Another vitally important factor for this month's astrology for you is the presence of transformative Pluto in your second solar sector of values and resources. The implication is that things are still radically changing for you in the way that you acknowledge your deepest values. This is a subtle process that has been taking place at varying speed over the previous few years, and has been intensifying in recent months. As is often the case with organic growth, this is difficult to get a real sense of in the moment, but when you look back over the course of time you find that a great deal of progress has been made, and that you thus now have a different angle of attack on what can be more readily identified as your remaining issues.
In the midst of an intense month of challenge and change, inspirational creativity is your watchword, as indicated by the highlighted conjunction of Uranus and the new planet, Eris, located in your sector of self-expression. Uranus works for societal evolution, among other symbolism that includes synchronicities and surprising enlightenment, while Eris can be shown to be characterized in her highest manifestation as a spiritual warrior for soul intention, implying that there is a way that what you do must now match what you deeply feel is important. This is so not only for your own development, but also for the society itself to move forward, and with regard to issues pertaining to the earth herself.
